Found this place after trying to get back to the 99 after a solid Unilocal taco truck find. The owner Brian was extremely helpful and friendly and has a great selection of high quality clothing which he and his wife personally tie dye with classic and more contemporary designs in fantastic colors and a wide variety sizes. There’s a lot more than t-shirts too. They will also take phone orders and ship to you. I highly recommend this store and think it’s worth stopping by even if you think you’re not a tie dye fan as this place may in fact change your mind. Again, the quality of the t-shirts is great!

I have shopped here since I was a little girl and I am about to be 29! This place goes way back! I have always been happy with my tie dyes from here and they have stayed vibrant. They have a giant selection of style options on different materials so I have gotten anything from underwear to a workout jacket.

I really like the products but don’t feel they stand behind them when there is a defect. I have bought 2 shirts from them. The first shirt was fine. The second shirt ran in the wash and ruined about 3 or 4 items I washed with it. Though they said this should not have happened they did nothing to make it right. I was just at Lafayette Art and Wine Fair and bought another shirt. I expected some small good faith compensation to counteract the defect that the one shirt had in not being color fast. Did not happen. I will probably never buy another shirt from them due to their lack of customer service. Really annoying how little they care about their customers.

If you had spent several decades developing your designs you wouldn’t want some one to copy your designs either. All tie dye is not the same in quality. I have shirts that i bought from Harmony in the early 80’s that have been used and abused that have never faded(although they sometime run in the wash). When i wanted more tie dye I drove over 6hrs round trip to their store. The colors stay bright and the fabric has lasts. I even had to return an item that I purchased for my daughter because it was to small and they were very helpful. So if you want to buy tie dye, not just take a few pictures, I highly recommend Harmony Enterprises.

The owner accused me of stealing his ideas, and called me unoriginal when I walked by his booth at the Davis WEF wearing a tie-dyed smiley face that I had done myself. I was shocked — tie dyed smiley faces have been around for much longer than this guy. I found it hard to believe that he would be so rude to a fellow tie-dyer, AND a pregnant mother on Mother’s Day weekend no less.

Saw their booth at Davis’ Whole Earth Festival. One of the workers, probably the owner, accused me of being rude for taking a picture of his booth without his permission. With that kind of customer service, who could resist buying anything from this company.

If I could wear Tie-Dye everyday I would. There’s something about the swirl. The vivid intermingling of colors. The intricate process of dye soaked hands — rubber-banding and dipping color-less fabrics into unique one of a kind explosions of rainbow — that just makes me smile. I’ve found though — that despite the wealth of retro faded tie-dye shirts which line the multitudes of thrift stores in the Bay Area, that it’s actually quite challenging to find current quality affordable tie-dye stores in the area. Harmony Enterprises masterfully fills this colorful void though. A family run business producing tie-dye gems since 1979 — they truly take pride in their psychedelic craft and do so with heartwarming genuineness. I bought a massive tie-dye blanket made from durable fabric recently that graces the bottom of my bed. I love to wrap myself in it each evening — just so that I can wake up to a vibrant tie-dye vision each morning. Trust.

If, like me, you’re attempting to re-live the 60’s on a daily basis, then you’ll want to check out Harmony’s excellent selection of tie-dye clothing. I ran across a booth of theirs at a local art festival and I’d say they have some of the coolest designs I’ve seen, and not just one or two cool designs, but almost everything I saw was good. It looks like they have an online store for your psychedelic convenience, .
