Fruit Tree Music School

Billy is an extremely knowledgeable, supremely patient teacher with a genuine passion for his work. As a 30-​year-​old complete novice to music, I expected the learning curve to be huge, but his materials and experience have made it completely painless and really fun.
The location is convenient (located just across the street from the Modesto Library), the waiting room is homey and the half hour lesson time flies by. I can’t even believe how much progress I’ve made in the last three months. Thank you, Billy! When my son is old enough, I plan to start him on music lessons at Fruit Tree, too.

I really enjoy the voice and music theory lessons I get from Billy at Fruit Tree Music. He’s very knowledgeable about music and the many different instruments and is patient when teaching them to me.
There is structure to our lessons that gives consistency without being too rigid. The lessons are very much tailored to what my goals are musically. His rates are very reasonable especially for the service provided.
And of course one may want to know if I’ve improved musically which I feel I have. We do ear training exercises and warmups in every lesson and each time it gets easier to match pitches. We work on vowel shapes, tone and various techniques to get the best sound for the music I’d like to make.
I would recommend taking lessons here for children and adults if you’re in the market for a music teacher. I know I’ve enjoyed my experience and feel like I get good value and results out of our weekly lessons.
