Emerald Tattoo & Piercing

Went in to schedule an appointment and talked to Drain about what I wanted. He told me that the tattoo I wanted had to be about the size of a damn bagel to «have detail & blah blah blah.» I went to another shop & got EXACTLY what I wanted in the size I WANTED. I feel that if an artist isn’t comfortable doing a tattoo the size of an Oreo, he should say so and recommend someone who is, not try to talk customers into huge ass tattoos they don’t want. With that being said, I probably wouldn’t recommend this shop to anyone just for the simple fact they won’t tattoo what you want. But if you want a huge giant piece, drain is the guy to do it. Lol

In response to Josh H, it was quite the opposite when your staff unprofessionally slipped me a business card with his phone number saying «call me» smiley face…
And foreign language? It’s Roman numerals! Not a foreign language. And I approved the stencil yes. But the stencil wasn’t crooked and uneven.
I should have walked out of there after the stencil was placed practically sideways from what I wanted and then placed zig zagged and then placed once again. And also the classic line of drain saying «no one else is going to notice that» ummm. I didn’t get the tattoo for everyone else. I got it for me!
And contacting the owner doesn’t help because I don’t get a response back and even if I did… What is emerald tattoo going to do? I wouldn’t want emerald touching my skin again.

Exceptional quality and service when it comes to cover ups.

We came in for my 2^nd nose peirce on this Easter Sunday. I was pretty nervous in the beginning. Joe talked it up a bit to help calm my nerves. It worked. Nice guy! Can’t wait to come back for more peircings. Great customer service too!

It was like butterfly wings pierced my tongue. I didn’t feel a thing definitely recommend.

Most recently having my tongue pierced was an amazing experience. I am tongue tied which limits mobility and extension of my tongue so I was worried it wouldn’t be possible but Vanessa was able to pierce me anyways with her expertise. I couldn’t be happier! ^.^

I had a semi-​bad experience at another shop years ago getting my nose pierced, but wanted to try again and I found the perfect place and the perfect person. Joseph is a magician! He took his time with the placement, (which I REALLY appreciated) explained everything he was doing, and the best part? It didn’t hurt AT ALL. No discomfort, no pain, just quick and easy. He took his time cleaning it after and really explained how to take care of the piercing, which was nice because a lot of places just say, «make sure you keep it clean». The shop is SUPER clean, but also watching Joseph and how careful he was with the equipment, and seeing everything being unwrapped from the sterile packaging in front of me, and him changing out his gloves like three times before he pierced made me feel really comfortable. He was very friendly, VERY professional, and did a fantastic job, not just with me, but with my friend who got her septum pierced right after me. I would go back in a heart beat, and recommend this place and Joseph to anyone.

My experience here was great, I got my nose pierced on my birthday. Joseph was my piercer. He was very informative on what he was doing and he made me feel really calm and one of the girls even held my hand! I’ll definitely be going back to get a tattoo from one of the artists and possibly another piercing. Quality work and excellent customer service

Horrible customer service! I received a bad piercing here and originally paid $ 30 for my orbital had to go back because it wasn’t healing right. Joseph (the piercer) charged me another $ 30 to put individual jewelry in each hole. After up keeping with the saline which he recommended it still was not healing and the holes were unsymmetrical. I talked to the «owner» Vanessa when I went back for the third time and she said she was going to try and help me out but then Josh supposedly the real «owner» stepped in very rudely saying he was going to charge me $ 5 each hole for removal. Talk about customer service! $ 70 for a messed up piercing? Definitely not worth it, don’t go here they cheat you out your money. Emerald tattoo and piercing will be going out of business soon.

5 stars!!! This shop is clean clean clean! My 2^nd tattoo here and the lady at the desk is always super friendly and the guys are true professionals! This is very hard to find these days! Real gentleman a class in there own! This place will go far! And a great addition to our beautiful city! :-)

I’ve visited the Lodi shop before based on recommendations from friends and was amazed at the awesome portfolios of all the artists and the shop itself with all of it’s artwork and funky collections. Have gotten several tattoos from that location. I live in Modesto and was ecstatic to find out they have opened a new shop! Was so excited!!! Went in today and was absolutely impressed with the artists and their work. Got my new tattoo which is a tribute to Breast Cancer survivors and also for Poly-​Cystic Disease. Will definitely be back for more body art! Very impressive! Thank you guys and congrats on your new location!
