Emerald Pointe

I have lived here for a year now and can not wait to move. I do not recommend these apartments to anymore unless your a criminal and like to not be treated with respect from the office. There’s so much crime that happens here but yet they don’t rent to anyone with a criminal background. I live in the front & Since I lived here there has been 3 drug bust, fights, people smoking weed and loud neighbors ²⁴⁄₇. They’ve gotten new management which is supposedly supposed to remodel and clean up the apartments and NOTHING has happened & they’ve been here some time. The last time we tried to pay our rent they wouldn’t accept it because they were on lunch each time we tried for three days in a row, at different times each day. When my husband confronted them about it the unprofessional office ladies went off on him while my 3 year old daughter was with him. Saying that they are entitled to take their lunch whenever. That same day he told them about a drawer that needs fixing in our apartment and it’s a hazard to my daughter and they said that ‘it’s going to be a while to fix because they’re backed up’ so my husband explained that we really need it fix because it’s a hazard because of the nails and sharpe edges and it’s not our fault that they’re backed up. So the new manager went off threatening to evict us because she was offended saying it’s not her fault they are backed up with the maintenance work orders. & also when they’re washing machines aren’t working they tell their tenants to call the number on the washer to have them come out and fix it. Which is just ridiculous. That is their responsibility and job to keep up with the maintenance of their apartment not the tenants. It’s been over a month and stuff is still not fixed! Hopefully this next month we are able to pay our rent without all of them being on lunch when we try. & when they’re on luch they stay in the office and can’t even accept the dang rent! I can not wait to get out of these ghetto apartments! Do not move here! Unprofessional & LAZY staff and tons of crime.

Work apts ever!!! Girls in the office SUCk. They Sr rude… never in their offices… never working… its ridiculous.

Me and my husband got approved here last year, and boy were we happy. They went by income and we would have rent that we could afford. But things started to take a turn for the worst. Our apartment was in the front which was really good I thought. No, we were placed right across hall from drug dealers who we’d hear them talking about killing people. We were around to see an lower apartment be broke in in broad daylight. We witnessed fights! And also, heard a man beating up his baby mother while the baby was screaming. Also one night we were sleeping and heard helicopters chasing a man in our apartment complex, this is only the couple of the things we witnessed. It’s not a great place to raise kids, but if it’s all you can really afford then I advice just staying to yourself, that got us through it until I got pregnant and couldn’t see my bringing my new baby to call that place home.
So we asked apartment about breaking the lease, because of our concerns they never did. So we got a uhaul got our belongings came back day after trey changed our locks. We have not heard from them since. Now we have been informed they are under new management. I hope they get that place together because before the craziness I did find it a decent place.

i’m only giving this place Four stars as an update because i recently checked my credit score and i had a $ 419 fine from them on my credit from 2012 from when we lived there… i called the company who owned the debt to find out what it was from and it turns out that i actually didn’t owe this money. THEY owed me.
Justin (the current manager at Emerald Pointe) was AMAZING and prompt and got back to me in a timely matter AND solved this issue without me having to pay this money. Thank God i checked my credit!
SO… if you have rented here check your credit score… credit karma saved me and so did Justin’s help!

My sister and I lived here together for two years together. I moved and unfortunately, she still resides there with my niece and nephew. There are sex offenders living there and it worries me for her kids.
The pool in the back of the complex was filthy and NEVER used the whole time I lived there. It took the office long enough to evict the crack heads across the hall from us. They were ALWAYS yelling at all hours of the day and constantly banging on the door. I once witnessed a man beat up his girlfriend right outside my patio. He body slammed her onto the concrete and punched her in the face. The security was NOWHERE to be found. Yet when it’s hot outside and kids want to play on the basketball courts or swin past 10 PM security is in full force! I once got a written warning because of noise complaint. Mind you, it was Friday night and it was still early about 9 PM. My neighbor upstairs was constantly making loud noises, moving furniture around, and her kids would wrestle late at night everyday of the week! I would complain because I worked two jobs and nothing was ever done!
There was break ins as well.
