Calagaz Photo & Digital Imaging

Went in to see the camera dept and ended up learning soooo much more about things that I can do with the photos I already have. Dig the new printing on metal. They have a beautiful store and the young lady who helped us was very knowledgable. When ever I’m in town Calagaz is on my to do list.

Calagaz is great! Staff and service have always been superb. They are always helpful and accommodating. (Can’t believe someone from California would even post that they are scammers. What a joke!) We are so fortunate to have such a honest business in are community.

With today’s society of digital media, it’s refreshing to see a full-​service camera and photo store still open. They have a really nice building, a bit hidden down a side street.
The staff was very knowledgeable and they even offer group training on cameras, as well as one one one training. Their prices aren’t really the best, but they make up for it with their fine service.

Calagaz has been in Mobile for ages, and really, they’ve outlasted all their competitors.
Now that I don’t get as many pictures printed and I don’t shoot as much film, I don’t go in as often, but any time I need a new piece of equipment, I try to call to see what they’ve got, and they ALWAYS work with me to make sure I get what I need.
I think their salespeople go out of their way to be nice, and they host some cool photography-​related events there, and have promotions periodically.
They also do commercial printing now, which I didn’t know before, so you can get your business cards or anything else printed there and support a local business instead of just ordering them online.

tried to rip e off for $ 50 dollars in over charges… had to drive 30 miles out of my way to get my money back… did not even get an apology out of these crooks… if you do businees with these thieves check your receipt

I called up Calagaz to order a new Nikon Camera. At first they were very friendly and eager to help. I spoke with a gentlemen in sales named Jason, who promised he would put aside a camera for me. He told me to go ahead and place my order via the website and he would take care of me. I then logged onto their site,
, and tried to place the order. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find the option to add the camera to the cart, and something seemed off. So, I called the shop back to speak with Jason. He said he would take care of it and call me back. A few minutes later he called me back and said he would get me a camera if I over nighted him a cashiers check. This seemed very odd. I suddenly realized I was being scammed. I told Jason this and he said, «yeah I need the cashiers check if you want the camera.» I didn’t understand and repeated that I was happy to pay with a credit card but Jason said he needed cash or a cashiers check or he wouldn’t help me. AVOID CALAGAZ. THEY ARE SCAMMERS WHO WILL TRY TO RIP YOU OFF!
