Was traveling and stayed here twice in the span of a week. The first room I got was ok. Thought some of the reviews were just people having a bad day. The second time I stayed here, geez. They gave me an extremely funky room. Carpets were heavily worn and dirty, though they were vacuumed. The furniture was all stained and metal work rusted. The bed had been made up, but most of the sheets had not been properly washed, very digusting crusty stuff on the sheets, and well as some kind of dark pieces of debris I chose not to examine, but I was so tired from driving for 10 hours, I just threw them on the floor and slept in my clothes. The shower head had not been cleaned in a very long time.

We had a reservation and had to cancel. We cancelled 5 days before our scheduled arrival time yet were still charged a no show fee of the first night’s cost. We called the hotel and the lady immediately credited the charges off of our card. A full week later, the charges reappeared. We were told by Bob, the manager, that we were a no show even though we had a cancellation number. As I look at the reviews here I see 117 one-star ratings. I guess when your ratings are that bad, you have to do everything you can to keep money coming in. We will never stay at any Baymont Inn again ever. Judging from the 117 one star reviews, it’s probably best we didn’t stay in this rat hole of a roach motel.

1 star is too much for this filthy hotel. OMG. So I was coerced into taking a last minute business trip with my partner to Alabama. I was already less than enthused because it’s Ala-bama, ewww. Anyway, we arrive and my partner suggests the Baymont Hotel because he’s stayed at one before in another state and the experience was good. Now, I have to blame him for this as well because he did not check the room before booking the night. Bad idea. The linens were«white» if that’s what you want to call it. However; both beds had what looked like a mixture of coffee and semen stains. On top of that one of the bed linens had cigarette burn holes in it. Please forgive me but I have to LOL about this. It’s funny now but I was mad as hell at the time. Just standing there looking at the room made me itch. Ohhh, and don’t let me forget to mention that the door looked like it was almost broken into at one point as the lock was barely on the hinges and all the signs of forced entry was there. I didn’t make it to the bathroom which I’m sure would have been equally if not more disgusting. We left but not before getting our money back. I chose the next hotel, The Ashbury, which is right across the street. If you’re ever in Alabama(which I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy) please at least look at The Ashbury. It was super clean, smelled great, offered free WiFi and has a very courteous staff. It looks deserted from the outside but trust me it’s a gem on the inside. My partner considers me bougie and I always stay at 4&5 star hotels when I travel but I will say this; for a 3 star hotel, The Ashbury rivals many 4&5 star hotels. As for the Baymont Hotel… run away as fast as you can!!! HIDEYOWIFE, HIDEYOKIDS!!!

AVOIDTHISHOTEL! Checked in around 4:30pm. Immediately noticed no toilet paper in the bathroom. None at all. Called front desk and were told to come down and get it ourselves. Really? Next we told them the room was dirty, including a filthy toilet and bathtub. Were told that housekeeping had left for the day. Okay, then can we get a toilet scrub brush and some cleaner? Yes, if we(you guessed it) came down to get it ourselves. I left the room and 4 doors down there was housekeeping cleaning a room! I asked him for tp and to clean our room but he didn’t speak any English and just went back to cleaning the other room. I took tp off the cart, plus cleaning supplies and sanitized the room for my family. I went down to the front desk to ask about why I was told housekeeping was gone. She said, «Oh the Chinese guy? He doesn’t work for us. He has his own deal with the Owner. He’s not allowed to talk to guests. Did he talk to you? He’s not supposed to.» Uh, what? She didn’t offer an apology or anything. It was just matter of fact that we had to clean our own room and get supplies ourselves. An hour later I caught up with my brother’s family only to find out that they were now in their second room after their first room’s toilet didn’t work at all. The second room was filthy too. I would have just cancelled and gone next door to the Fairfield Inn but these reservations had a no cancellation.
