Schlotzsky’s Deli

Went there for lunch, it was quite good.

I love this place and all the food. Okay. I used to work here in high school so maybe I’m biased. The food is always fresh and the place is 95% clean, the other 5% is when it’s super busy on Sundays. The owners make sure the place is always clean and the food is good. The only reason I don’t eat here all the time is because it’s hard to justify spending 10 bucks on a sandwich with chips and a drink.
First timers, the BBQ chicken jalapeño pizza is awesome, the original sandwich is great if you like Salami and mustard. My personal favorite is Santa Fe chicken which is sometimes on the menu depending on the season but they can usually always make it. The wraps can be on the small side so I wouldn’t recommend them if you’re hungry.

I normally don’t write about «chain» restaurants, but they worked for it. The cleanest Schlotzsky’s I have ever been in. And this is a very well oiled machine. EAT HERE if you are in Missouri City, TX. They also have a nice little selection of 3 pack cookies.

A great place to eat. The place is always tidy and clean and the customer service is impeccable. For Missouri City, ALWAYS maintaining an A at a restaurant is a tough feat to beat.
I believe Brooke just happened to go through a bad experience per chance. The salad dressing is available in where the deli case is, customers can help themselves for an additional salad dressing and add it on themselves or they can ask for a side of Italian dressing. From my experience with working in the restaurant, people can be incredibly picky about the outcome of their food when they didn’t specify what they wanted in the beginning.

Ok. Let’s start with some history. I absolutely LOVE Schlotzsky’s. I crave their sandwiches. I am a creature of habit as we all are. So, for the last 15 years I always order the Original minus mustard plus mayo and Italian dressing. And that’s how I love it.
Well in this particular location the owner rang me up. And of course I ordered my favorite. The owner proceeded to rudely suggest I should put the oil and balsamic vinegar that is on the free condiment table on my sandwich instead. (As if balsamic vinegar tastes remotely the same as italian dressing) I explained to her that I always order this. And she rudely explained that she would not put italian dressing on my sandwich.
So, I sadly ate my bland sandwich. But I smiled at the thought of writing this review. Ha… usually I’m very nice, but you better do what a pregnant woman asks or you will get a bad review on Unilocal.What happened to pleasing the customer? So, 5 stars to Schlotzsky’s in general, but poo poo to the service at this location.
