Pretty good food, but over-priced in the evening and definitely high in fat. The first time I went with friends, we had calamari and their famous squash blossoms for appetizers. I was so full that I opted to just have salad with grilled chicken on it for my entrée. The desserts were excellent. The pumpkin cake(a thick piece of single-layered cake topped with cream cheese icing) is very moist and the s’mores pie was exceptionally good(chilled, dense chocolate pie on a graham cracker crust accompanied by perfectly toasted marshmallows — a delicious contrast in temperatures and flavors). The second time we went, I had fried chicken, which was highly recommended by several friends. I wasn’t terribly impressed. I would seriously prefer Chick-fila or Popeye’s. Don’t waste your time with the fried chicken. They do serve a LOT of chicken, though, if you’re super hungry. I ate one piece and took home enough to feed two other people! Unfortunately, I also ended up with a lot of indigestion later from all the grease. The third time we went, I tried the shrimp capellini. The pasta was a bit dry and it was overall a real disappointment. We ordered our two favorite desserts — pumpkin cake and s’mores pie and we got a corner piece of cake that was dry and disappointing(send it back if you get the corner piece — I wish we had). That being said — probably the best time to visit Brandani’s is at lunch. They have an excellent lunch special. The prices are a lot more reasonable.

I was initially impressed by Brandani’s décor, wait-staff, and overall presentation. For dinner, I had a few pieces of calamari, the seafood special, and a few bites of dessert. I would soon regret it… Later that night I experienced extremely painful digestive problems. Soon came vomiting, diarrhea, and a restless night spent in the bathroom. I hadn’t felt that sick since my trip abroad to India after drinking the local water. My stepmother also experienced discomfort that night despite entirely different menu items: the boar appetizer and salmon risotto. Be careful what you wish for at Brandani’s…

Great location, wine selection, presentation, and real Gruyère cheese… amazing! It was pouring rain outside and the creamy onion soup hit the spot! We had a delicious Super Tuscan wine as well. Desert was off the charts! Main dish was angel hair pasta with shrimp(capellini). Shrimp was delicious and the sauce had so much flavor with a little spice! Loved it! For the desert, bread pudding with vanilla and rich chocolate with marshmallows… yummo!

Don’t give 5 stars much but this guy has earned it. Very nice small setting restaurant with an above average wine list. Don’t recall the waiter’s name(tall African-American) but he is exceptional Food is wonderful and they are not afraid to experiment with stuffed squash blossoms Go, wait if required and enjoy

Great setting and great dishes. On the bland side for some of the dishes especially the one with the tilapia over risotto

I love that MO city has this family owned dining option. There is always a different feeling when you are at a family owned establishment. Kindness, caring, creating a good experience. We’ve had the breakfast for dinner app, the cheese plate, red snapper, a pasta dish… all have been solid!

Came here for their lunch special and was extremely surprise with what the waitress recommended, a cheese burger… I was very skeptical with a cheese burger at a wine bar… but she put he bar so high that i had to try it. Burger was the extremely juicy with the bacon, and extremely surprise that it would be. With the glass of wine, Peju, it was a perfect pairing. Thank you Kristi

I went in on a Friday and waited about 30 minutes to be seated. The complimentary bread and olive oil were bland. The pork steak was tough and chewy thus I ordered instead the short ribs those were tough and chewy as well. My daughter ordered pasta with shrimp and it was bland. The salad and crab cakes were delicious though. For the price it definitely was not worth the trip.

So yummy! Fabulous wine selection and truly yummy cuisine! A hidden gem. The squash flowers are delicious + wild boar appetizer(complete with eggplant crisps). This restaurant would give many in the city a run for its money! We met the chef, Robert, couldn’t be more down to earth.

I arrived at 1:55 p m, they close at 2. The waitress greeted me, told me to wait a moment, came back and seated me. Wow! They had me with that type of service! Then I want to speak to the cuisine, it was superb! I debated what to eat because it all sounded good. Fried chicken, mashed potatoes, jalapeño gravy, I was in hog heaven! Then the dessert… going back soon

I took my friend to lunch yesterday, both our first time there. I’d read awhile back that a new restaurant had taken over that space and was curious because of the great reviews. Our experience was wonderful: we were greeted warmly and seated at a corner table. The atmosphere is quaint and cozy but simple and stylish. Our waiter was very nice, friendly, and professional. I ordered the red snapper and my friend had the piccata; both LOVED our food! I thought the 3 course lunch menu for $ 14 was fantastic! Looking forward to checking out the wine nights. I will definitely be back with my hubby for a romantic dinner date. So excited to find a wonderful, beautiful, and delicious, privately run restaurant! Support our local businesses!

Hidden gem in Missouri City! Truly love love love this place! The owners and very nice and the waitstaff is just amazing! The lunch specials are very reasonable. My favorite is the Chicken Piccata but you will not go wrong with anything on the menu. The dinner menu is great and all in your party will surely find something that they will enjoy. Definitely worth giving this place a try!

It was our last night in the Houston area before moving to Dallas and Hubby asked if there was anywhere I had been wanting to try. Brandani’s came to mind, as I had checked it out on Unilocal a couple of times since it’s next door to the wine bar we love. I am SO glad we decided to eat here, but just a little sad that we hadn’t gone earlier, so I could have had more than one meal here. We arrived without a reservation on a Saturday night, but only had a short wait at the small bar before being seated. The atmosphere is sophisticated without being pretentious, and cozy. Our waitress was wonderful-very cute, funny and on point. She even gave me a hug good-bye at the end of the night(Hubby was a little put out he didn’t get one). The owner/chef and his wife also came by while we were there to check in. Now to the food-incredible! I started with the onion soup, and it was seriously one of the best things I have ever tasted. Much more complex and flavorful than your typical french onion soup, it’s hard to explain-just order it. For my entrée, I had the crab cake appetizer. It was very tall/thick, so I was concerned it might be dry, but it was fantastic. Again, it had complex flavors that worked very well together. Hubby got the blackened grouper special, which was cooked perfectly-not easy to do with grouper-but he would have liked more blackening. What a gem this place is in the Missouri City area-I cannot recommend trying it enough!

Their $ 14 lunch special is THEBOMB. It’s high quality, delicious food — delivered at a great price point. It’s a 3 course meal — your choice of soup or salad as a starter; a main entrée; and dessert. Their pan-fried chicken w/marconi almonds and sherry cream sauce was moist and tasty. The bread pudding comes with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream and is so good. It also comes topped with rum sauce, which I didn’t like because it was pretty decently rummy, but I just asked for it on the side & it was delicious even w/out the sauce. The portion sizes on the lunch special are«just right» for lunch(as in, not megajumbo sized like what you get at most chain restaurants). They also have free unlimited bread w/olive oil, which you can definitely fill up on if you want to. I’ll definitely be back to try more entrees.

Best burger I’ve ever had! Be sure to ask for the truffle fries. Come for lunch 11 – 2, $ 14 for a three course meal! Amy has been our waitress a few times now, and she is absolutely fantastic. She recommended items and pairings on the menu that we may have never thought of. The entire staff is extraordinarily welcoming, and we have been able to meet the owners and the chefs on multiple occasions. Terrific restaurant, would recommend to anyone!

Brandani’s makes for an excellent date night. The food is excellent quality, and the portions are just right. They have a great wine list, and the service is on point. There’s frequently a wait on Friday and Saturday nights — this place has a lot of regular customers and the staff knew a lot of the other patrons by name. It’s nice to have a nice place for dinner that’s not inside the loop. Tip: if there’s a wait, put your name on the list and do some wine shopping at Vino and Vinyl next door. If you tell Brandani’s you’re going next door, they’ll come find you when your table is ready.

I have always come here for lunch until tonight. We had an equally fantastic experience but the price is a lot higher for dinner, compared to the lunch special I shared in the earlier review. The staff is always really nice, and Mr. Brandani comes to visit his guests to make sure everything is great. To quiet my toddler Mr. Brandani brought her some mac n cheese on the house so she could start earlier on dinner, since some of the dishes take a while. Everything is made fresh with really good ingredients and exceptional flavor, there is nothing not to like about Brandani’s, and whenever a girlfriend wants to meet up for lunch now I suggest this place!

Ali and I had dinner at Brandani’s for the first time on Tuesday night and we were both very impressed. The service, food, atmosphere and over all experience were all outstanding. Our waiter Ron was very knowledgable and had perfect timing with his service. We had an extra surprise when the owner Rick stopped by to chat for a bit. FYI this place it worth the drive even if it is out of the way for you.

This place is a hidden gem. We had squash blossoms(unique & tasty dish), truffle fries for appetizers & I ordered the chicken club as my entrée… it was delicious! My first time here and I definitely plan on coming back soon.

Place is one of my most adored spots in the area! We really needed a place with sophisticated yet comfortable and welcoming place to dine. Can’t wait to do date night here! Today I had the snapper and it was amazing!(Drops mic.)
