I scheduled my appointment on a Sunday. That was a plus. However I am natural and I told them before hand I had a lot of thick hair over the phone. When I got there they were talking about my hair. She pulled my hair as if she never dealt with a natural before. The lady hit me with the hair bag pretending as if it was accidental, the other lady Si laughed. They sprayed detangle spray in my hair and got it all over my clothing. I had to ask for one. They pretend like they were going to chop my hair off when they were finishing up my hair. What’s most amusing though is that they thought I didn’t understand French. I gave them a hint but they were clueless. I’m an educated woman. So with that said they are unprofessional and rude. They talked about customers when they came in and called. I will be going back to my regular braider, she was booked and I needed services. In conclusion, they want your money but will insult you as they do your hair. Word to the wise please stop thinking all your customers«don’t know what you’re talking about.» I did. Even if they don’t we are the reason why you have a job. There are plenty of braiding franchises in Houston who will be professional. In the end my hair is fine. But the service is horrible.

Horrible! I walked in the establishment to get my locs washed and retwisted, and found out these unprofessional idiots didn’t know what they were doing. First, I had to muscle through a bad smell of fish while the lady washed my hair. Not sure if it was really fish I was smelling. The place looked dirty upon further inspection. When I sat in the chair, I had to ask the young lady to retwist my hair with something more appropriate because she was about to use this black Pro Styling Gel, then she showed me another clear styling gel when I inquired about an alternative. Who in the heck uses these products for loc maintenance!!! I had to purchase my own loc gel(Taliah Waajid’s Loc it Up Tight) from a nearby store so she can do my hair. They had NO natural hair products in the salon, whatsoever. The lady uses over half of the product that was in the jar in my head. Then, when she was finished twisting my locs, this woman sprayed my locs with Bronner Brothers Pump It Up spritz! WTF! When my hair dried it was so stiff, filmy, and flaky. My poor locs looked like they had frosting on them. I had to go home and rewash my hair. Never again! These people are impostors!

Decided to get the hair braided and found this little shop while driving. I got box braids put in and it took the normal 4 grueling hours to get done. Butt hurting. check…back hurting… check…neck hurting… check. As with most Afican braiding shops, you want to clarify the price before you sit down, so I did & was told the price is $ 180…halfway through they say it’s going to be $ 204 because they used 4 packs of hair @$ 6 each. Hmmm… salons elsewhere charge $ 180 with the hair included… must be a regional thing. Other things about the shop, well, it’s the typical braiding place. All the ladies are loud and speaking in French… they sing, dance, argue with each other and then start singing again. One of the employees was very animated so she was moving around the shop like a little leprechaun entertaining everyone. After all of this and two people working in my hair, I was finally done & my hair came out pretty good… would’ve given them higher stars if it weren’t for the change in price midway… that’s a pet peeve of mine~

Love my hair. The place is nice and clean and they are really fast. I called ahead and they were a little late opening the doors(they open at 9am) but I was lucky and no one was there so I had 3 people on my head. This place was great and I’ll be back

I do not recommend this facility during the summer months when the owner(Dior) is out of town. The staff that is present do not work with the same skill level. I got free style braids less than one week ago and I have literally 17 braids that are out. The person who braided the back of my hair made large parts in the back of my head to rush the job. I have been coming to this facility for over 10 years but now for the second summer when the owner is out of town there seems to be a problem. If I chose to return I will ONLY allow two staff members(Dior and Julia) to braid my hair. I called and left voice mail message regarding my concerns and NOONE returned my call.
