The dirty chai tea latte is probably one of the best I’ve had! This place is so charming. Inside, the walls are covered with a lot of interesting and fun photography. The food is also very good. I had the protein breakfast and added the home fries! Everything was very fresh and flavorful. So glad we stopped at this gem!

This place is amazing. It’s great to see a restaurant where they are so personable and dedicated to their costumers. The food is amazing, and allot of house made great recipes.

Not being from here. We stumbled on this place and couldn’t have been any happier. The food wasn’t anything radically spectacular. It was delicious. Everything was so great. The latte was great as well. But the service. Everyone was incredibly helpful, social, friendly and nice. We probably had 4 – 5 different servers come by and drop off food or take orders. Some people would frown upon the inconsistency. But they were really slow and everyone was just so eager to please. I am so happy we came here in Missoula ! Cheers !

We stopped by Missoula for breakfast on our way back to Seattle. I had scrambled veggie and my friends have«build your own combo». The café was very busy, speaks how good and popular they are. Food was great. And ambience was average, room for improvement there. Toast was extra oily. Anyways rcommended place for coffee or breakfast.

Breakfast on a Saturday is darn busy at the Catalyst. Their coffee is great, service attentive, and breakfast as yummy as it gets!

Have been struggling as of late top find a great breakfast/brunch place in Missoula, we finally found it. Breakfast menu is served all day, so many options, we can’t wait to come back. The heap of potatoes anf veggies served in a hot skillet was great. Especially accommodating for vegetarian/vegan options, much appreciated.

The menu is amazing! I highly recommend their soups as well as their turkey sandwiches. I wanna go back and get their hue is rancheros as well as their almond butter protein ball.

In a town that is severely lacking quality, creative, homemade, delicious food, the Catalyst is an oasis! Everything is wonderful, from the coffee and the pastries to the Heuvos ! Their cheesey potato casserole IS something to write home about. The service is great, and is always worth the wait. Truly, Missoula’s best brunch spot.

This place is great! The customer service was fantastic and the food was excellent. My boyfriend and I ate brunch there on Easter and were very impressed. I ate the veggie scramble and got a latte as well. We also split a cinnamon roll. My only complaint was how crowded it was. It is a very small space and the tables are so close together it was very loud. However, the rest of the almosphere was great and I would recommend this place to anyone!

I consider myself a connoisseur of brekkie burritos and coffee, separately. Catalyst takes the cake on both of them. I originally wandered in, looking for a place to study and grab a bite of food. Not a great place to study, as it is always busy and moving. Excellent place for brunch though. The employees are always welcoming and service is speedy. Try the banana walnut yogurt if you’re looking for a great compliment to their protein plate. Also, their London fog is on point. Here’s to being a frequent customer!

Pros: good food, fresh ingredient, friendly and efficient staff, nice décor Cons: waiting area is a little tight, street parking(which may or may not be a problem depending on the time of the day)

It would have been nice to sit at Catalyst to eat breakfast but given that we had our dogs with us and it was a hot day, we opted for breakfast to go. The staff were all very friendly and got my order in very quickly. I had the fried egg sandwich with tomatoes and I ordered the breakfast burrito for Anthony. And of course, 2 cappuccinos in our to go cups. The cappuccinos seemed a little on the light side. We had 8 oz to go cups and normally it is a shot of espresso, some milk and the foam. This seemed like it was just espresso and foam so it tasted very thin on the first sip. The flavor was good though and I did enjoy it. My fried egg sandwich was just right although the egg was slightly on the over buttery, greasy side. But, I have to admit, it was pretty darn good. Anthony said his burrito was good although too heavy on the black beans and not enough egg. Flavor wise though, very good. Overall a good visit. I would like to give it another try and eat at the location instead of getting food to go.

Seated quickly, coffee served immediately. Staff is sweet. House made Granola is AMAZING! Partner had an omelet that could feed a village. Love this place!

This has become a staple visit every time I come to Missoula. The staff is always pleasant and attentive. They keep your coffee and water filled and make sure that you have everything. The food, oh lordy, the glorious food! There is so many good breakfast dishes here that I have a very hard time choosing. The bread pudding is some of the best I’ve ever had. Their breakfast burrito with chipotle sour cream will fill you up on a cold day and you’ll enjoy eating every minute of it. The Number 2 is where I fell in love with this place. You get your choice of regular or jalapeño casserole. The jalapeño is a must for anyone who likes some spice in their life. The hash is good and is a must for my usual partner in crime. I’ve never had their lunch(because I can’t pull my eyes off the breakfast menu), but everything I’ve seen go by, salads, sandwiches and soups, look and smell amazing. I’m now drooling and pondering when my next venture to Zoo town will be.

Another great find thanks to Unilocal: Unpretentious, super friendly and fast service, incredible coffee drinks and a great breakfast and lunch menu. Too bad I only got to stay one day in Missoula, I wish I could have sampled more than just their banana walnut yogurt for breakfast. Will keep this lovely place in mind for future Missoula trips! Oh, and did I mention the outdoor seating? Yep, in the Heart of Missoula!!!

I come here for the service. I mean the food is great, but the people at this establishment are amazing. I love it. There’s some good vegetarian options here and vegan ones too. They serve local wheat and local eggs, if you are into that sort of thing. The prices are reasonable. I can’t really say enough good things about this place. I am new to Missoula and have been here twice in one week. I know I’ll be back again and it’s mostly because of all those smiling faces. Thanks everyone!

My husband and I stopped in here for a delicious breakfast before leaving town. Food: My husband ordered the veggie scramble with toast. He was looking for something mildly detoxy, and was happy with his meal. I ordered the«number one» — 2 eggs(I got mine over medium), toast with jam, and a side(I got the green chile potato casserole). I was most impressed with the potato casserole — SOGOOD. The eggs were cooked the way I liked them, though perhaps a tad too greasy. The jam — maybe raspberry or huckleberry — was tangy-sweet and delicious. The toast came pre-buttered, which was fine for me, but would not have been my husband’s preference. Service: Prompt and courteous, and our server came around often to offer refills on coffee and water.

Missoula, Montana. Oh, what a great town in Big Sky Country! And better yet, this town is even better with this wonderful coffee chop. :) Now, when I’m on one of my road trips, I’m always on the hunt for local coffee shops that serve tasty coffee that is organic, directly traded, and the baristas know what the heck they are doing. So, I was pleasantly surprised to find that they serve Caffe Vita. Caffe Vita isn’t just good coffee, it’s great coffee! You know, the artisanal stuff like pour overs and the like. :) Also, they serve breakfast and lunch. Really good stuff. Local and wholesome, dare I say sustainable? Yes. Sustainable. This is my kind of spot! So, I ordered a latte with almond milk along with this insanely delicious chocolate muffin with a pudding middle. It was crispy on the outside, and wonderfully warm and moist in the middle. It was heaven! I enjoyed this concoction on the second level of their shop under a soft lamp(yes, it was morning, but it added to the effect). While we were enjoying our goodies, it was a time of reading and writing. It was quite lovely. :) Plus, the baristas here are very down to earth and friendly(my favorite kind of folks!). The next time I’m in Missoula, you can bet I’ll be back here again in a heartbeat!

I had the chilaquiles for breakfast. Overall the flavor was nice, although leaned too heavily towards a tomato(i.e. vinegary) flavor for me(rather than a nice spicy or savory flavor). Giving it three stars as I’m not sure I’d go back here for brunch. My wife got the sandwich and salad combo which tasted good(although her salad dressing was over-sweet). If I could do-over I would have gotten a sandwich and salad. The portion size was very nice and I felt like good value for the money. Good waiter service and very friendly staff. It has a nice ambiance and our food came out quickly.
