I was hoping to find a great place for alterations but this did not fit the bill. Quick turnaround but when the gem is crooked and stitches are kidding it upsets me. I will never return. My search continues.

I usually go to Irene’s Alterations for all of my tailoring and she is a sweet lady who runs her business out of her home. Don’t worry, she has a separate room where you can try on your clothes before she marks the hemming. Anyway, she has a quick turnaround and can get my pants tailored the next day. I’m not sure how long it takes for suits or dresses as I have to bring anything in for that. For pants/skirts, she’s charged me about $ 11 a pop. not too bad. One downside that really irks me when I pick up my tailoring… she owns cats… so expect to get some fur on your clothing… hence why I gave this place 3 stars. Other than that, she really is a sweet lady, runs her business professionally and has a quick turnaround.

Irene is very professional, warm and friendly — a grandmother who has been sewing since she was 16. Although she works out of her home, she has a very nice private fitting room and knows her stuff. Basically, you get the service of a high end bridal shop without the overhead — prices can’t be beat and she can turn around alterations quickly. Besides, doing simple alterations that I didn’t want to do here and there like buttons and hems, she really helped me out on my Wedding gown that I bought it from a sample sale — it needed much more work than I ever realized and she made it look fantastic. I got a $ 4000 gown for $ 400 and I felt like a million bucks on my wedding day. I had to move or I would still be using her.
