I ordered a chicken quesadilla and it was NOTEDIBLE. My quesadilla came in a puddle of grease and it was sawgy. It was disgusting. Not coming back for lunch

We were just passing through on our way to Disneyland… we usually stop at the Arco for gas at this exit. We decided for Tuesday, we would stop in and get tacos. We ordered 3 drinks, a California burrito, 3 rolled tacos, a fish taco and a quesadilla. Our receipts said if we checked in we would receive a free California burrito. We all checked in. However upon trying to redeem it with the counter lady she refused to honor it without us purchasing another two drinks. She then specified we had to get it on our next visit. Unilocal and the receipts have two different offers. And the employees don’t honor either of them. The fish taco size was weak as well. What a disappointing Taco Tuesday. At least there’s Disneyland.

Had a minor issue but Jose, the owner replied right away and resolved the issue. I’ll be back for sure.

Food was over salted big time … The beans the meat and the rice WTF ??? Doesn’t the cook taste the food before he serves it ??? Maybe the Gabachos think it’s bomb but again I’m from San Diego and I know what good mexican food is all about.

I spent a lot of late nights in San Diego at the various Roberto’s and Roberto’s knockoffs during my younger days. It’s still my favorite type of fast food after a few drinks: give me a carne asada burrito, hot pickled carrots and peppers, and a soda and I’m a happy man. This Roberto’s is a clean restaurant and service is fast and friendly. I was a bit surprised when the total of my carne asada burrito and fountain drink was close to $ 10, though. Gone are the days of a burrito and a can of soda only costing you five bucks. Thankfully, the burrito is huge and filling. It’s always been simple at Roberto’s: tons of carne asada in a freshly grilled flour tortilla. There are a few salsas to choose from as well as the aforementioned pickled carrots and peppers. Eat a burrito for lunch and you’ll probably just have enough room for a light dinner.

RE-RE-REVIEW Jose… What are you doing? Why can’t you have consistently nice people taking orders for you? This is my 3rd revision and you guys need to get it together man! Who want’s someone taking your order who acts like they don’t want to be there? Your in South OC… a little smile and customer service is a good thing. So since my last re-review I’ve been there about 10 times. Food is good but inconsistent. Got a salad with carnitas last visit, and the meat was all dried out and chewy like the edges of the carnitas that most places don’t serve. Pretty much tossed out all the meat and just ate the veggies. Too bad man, it’s only a matter of time that another better taco place will open up down the street…

Dude this place is bomb… The meat is well cooked and we’ll seasoned… They have other places located in San Diego and they are just as good… Finally a place that gets the meat correct… their taco Tuesdays is everything half off… It gets really busy… HOWEVER… THEREISONETHING… WHENYOUORDERTHINGSSEPARATE… FOREXAMPLEOROGINALASAPBURRITO… with guacamole and salsa on side instead of inside… They charge u extra simply because they claim they have to use a small Styrofoam cup… Yet they have small minibus people use for chili that people get for free… come on Robertos… If its included already in the price… If I ask for it on the side instead of inside… Why charge me more… Don’t be lame like that… Thats some bull

This place has good food but it is a bit on the greasy side for me and the steak is fatty.

Yum! So delicious! Been a few times now & already feel like regulars! Customer service is outstanding! Chris is wicked helpful & ladies he’s cute! I’ve tried a few different items & I’m impressed with all of them. Salsa bar is fresh & really makes everything taste better. If the salsa is good food most likely will be good too! The bean tosada is very flavorful! I’ve also tried the chicken tacos. The shells are good & meat is juicy. My husband loves the burritos especially the Carne asada. Definitely becoming our new go-to Mexican place!

…meh… asada is good but not much else ordered. Side order of chips and guac came as nachos toped with very low quality cheese. Most everything was bland not much flavor minus the asada. At least they have that right.

I was very excited to try this Restaurant I enjoy/love Mexican. So I gathered the wife and daughter and we drove to the location in Mission Viejo very small place but very nice and presentable! I was greeted by Chris who worked as a Cashier very nice and tentative menu was very large I got Carne Asada Burrito and a order of Three rolled Tacos very delicious and fresh! They have 5 different Salsas and they were all very good! I will return for sure Thanks for a great experience and great food!

Great place for our Mexican food craving. We are always met with friendly service and good food. The dining area is never too busy and everything is fresh. Be careful on the orange salsa; it burns on the way out too. The gift that keeps on giving.

I had a carne asada torta. I give them 3 stars because although the meat was chewy, bland and tough I didnt find any fat or tissue in it. They need to add seasoning to their meat though… prices are so so. The guy behind the counter was nice.

Ok wait… I used to be a huge fan. You can see my pics and my multiple check-ins but the last few times we have been disappointed. The carne asada has been cold and salty. The rolled tacos were greasy and the chips(that we basically had to beg for) were stale. Not sure if we will return, which is sad because I used to love this place.

My opinion of the taco joint has diminished with each visit. As it stands, I became ill immediately following my last visit. The food was so bad I just threw it away. Kind of reminded me of an episode of kitchen nightmare! I got the carnitas burrito, which contained unmelted American cheese, runny refried beans, extremely dry and crunchy carnitas, and something that was supposed to resemble guacamole. My daughter got the nacho plate, which consisted of overlooked and greasy chips, the same crappy unmelted American shredded cheese, and some runny flavorless beans. Oh, and both dishes were cold. I’m sure the food was days old too. The only saving grace was that the manager was in that day and refunded our money without contest. Unless they turn this place around quick, in a town like Mission Viejo, it’s going to go under soon.

One carne asada soft taco for $ 3.56, bought it, tried it, it’s okay. I guess some food is only meant to be bought in urban cities. I’m not mad your business I’m sure you’ll get that«south Orange County» money from people who don’t know how to cook these items with that Latin flavor. But theres nothing too special about this place. Average and overpriced. I’ll go to central oc if I really need this food. But gave it try, the hype is over. I can make this at home.

Just had a not good experience here — 20 minutes for cold burritos and a total punk attitude from Luis O. Not planning on returning ever! THEYUSEDTOBE very cool and nice people too. NOW you have to ask for a bag of 7 or 8 chips(used to be open season on chips and salsa) and as of today — when they screw up — which is exactly what they did — you get a punk asking you«What do you want me to do to do a better job here?» Start with a new attitude DUDE! Then apologize for a 20 minute wait! The order date and TIME are on the receipt punk! YES it got busy, 3 times while we sat and waited. BUTNO — we did not wait for just the people in front of us because I watched the entire seating area turn with people that ordered after us. BTW — my guess is that they had no potato ready for a BF burrito? Just a guess but they where pretty hard and some where actually COLD. Strange thing was my wife’s Burrito was completely cold on one side. Sitting on ice??? I have no idea. What can I say! FAIL — CLASSICFAIL ANDTHEN… Attitude and a punk taking it personal and not simply saying, «I’m sorry, we screwed up this time.» Hate to tell you but it takes a pretty pissed off person to take the time to write an angry review. If you had just screwed up the food, I most people would likely never document it. But Luis O — when you go all WHAT??? WHATDOYOUWANTMETODO??? Gotta say it makes me desire the end of you employment and never seeing your mug in there again. But I think I already have the answer for half of that, because it is very unlikely I will ever be in there again to check or care… F A I L ! ! ! ! ! ! Luis O F A I L ! ! ! ! ! ! What a great little find this place is! Ordered the Unilocal check in special… Chile Rellano burrito. It was soooo big, you can easily split it with someone else! The staff here is super friendly, it may take them a few extra minutes to make up your order… but the reward you get.“Wow! There’s not much seating here, but for me I’d stand up in the restaurant just so I could enjoy this tasty food!!! I would go out of my way to stop here.

We went in today around lunch/noonish and we ordered a california burrito and a carne asada burrito and we were pretty stoked to see how big it was but when we bit into the burritos, they were way too salty. If we came on a different day whereas maybe the meat wasn’t marinated in complete salt, this place would be pretty good. Not bad but the salsas aren’t great either. 3.5 stars but generous bc of the free chips and the nice atmosphere

Pretty good Mexican food! Same menu as the other locations, but food is somehow slightly different. –The Place: Very clean, new location just off the 5 and plenty of seating — most excellent. Much better than the Roberto’s in Oceanside. –The Food: 1. Being a California burrito connoisseur, I just had to order one(actually, I ordered two!). First off, these burritos are substantially bigger than the ones I had at the Oceanside location — comparable in size to Chipotle. However, it just didn’t taste as good. While literally bursting at the seams with steak, it seems that they gathered the small and overcooked scraps of meat. For $ 6 it wasn’t a terrible experience. 2. Girlfriend’s shrimp burrito had some quality control issues — several shrimp still had their tails. 3. The carne asada fries were very good — plenty of guac, steak, and a whole lot of fries. $ 2 off with Unilocal check-in! 4. Enjoyed the free chips and salsa bar! –Everything else Staff here is very helpful and friendly. Probably the«nicest» and definitely the cleanest Mexican fast-food I’ve been to. Unfortunately they only offer the fountain drink horchata. I may not come back for the California burrito, but certainly would to try their other burritos. Definitely in my OC Top 3 Mexican joints.
