Unfortunately customer service in the take out section of the market is a nightmare! Not only is it an extensive wait but a longer wait if you don’t speak their language. Seems there is a preference on who they serve first. We will not go back especially after waiting 45 minutes to get our food.

Great variety of unique items here. The fruit and veggies are great, they have a restaurant, bakery and bread section in the back which I love. The bread and desserts are fantastic, I will have to be back and try the food, last time they quoted me a 40 minute wait for a sandwich, so I left it, must be good if they are that busy. Prices are great, worth a stop to get something different.

Wow. Hands down best Persian food I’ve ever had! Don’t tell my mom I’ve been to almost every single restaurant in LA and OC. This place really is all about quality and freshness. It can sometimes take a really long time to get your food, but you want to know why? People will literally come here and order for 10 to 12 people and bring it home. So don’t expect to get your food right away on a Friday through Sunday. I suggest you should call ahead. I used never would touch chicken koobideh in my life, but Mission Ranch has changed that. I tried a bite of my mom’s and couldn’t believe my tastebuds! Wow amazing food for an amazing price! We have catered many times from them and everyone fights for the leftovers lol. Thanks Mission Ranch for satisfying my koobideh needs.

Im Persian and I am a Persian food snob. First the price is spot on and much less expensive than a traditional Persian restaurant. The kabob soltani is a skewer of ground beef and a skewer of filet mignon beef. Its usually at least $ 25 at other Persian restaurants but here its only $ 15 and it was amazing!!! The groceries were fresh but the food was off the charts amazing and delicious. This will be my new go to place even if i have to drive 30 mins.

For fresh and reasonable priced produce in town… I come here! It’s a small market… it has a deli, a restaurant, & a bakery. I get the spicy olive tampanades at the deli. The bakery has these fresh hot flat breads. The restaurant has amazing tasty kabob plates(the wait is long. I recommend phoning it in and doing a pick up) The produce is always very fresh. For the price it’s really cheap. Romaine lettuce is usually $.79each and they are HUGEANDGREEN! A big bag of baby spinach for $ 3.99. And they have one area it’s all herbs that I don’t really know how to use but I enjoy smelling it and browsing the table… I spend about less than 20 bucks here and my week supply for produce is good. There is a lot of people shopping here, so the veggies and fruits are always replaced back. I haven’t found anything rotten or funky here. ;) I think it’s Persian here. I’m not so sure. Middle Eastern Market. Great selection of cooking oils and nuts too. a tub of yogurt is at a good price here as well. The meat is comparable to price at the regular markets… I love coming here. It’s a small market. Easy for me to navigate and get what I need! ;)

I come here every week for their cheap prices on produce & meat. It’s hard for me to go anywhere else. The food in the restaurant takes about 20 – 30 mins to prepare but it is totally worth the wait!

Mission Ranch Market is where you get anything to do with Middle Eastern, especially Persian foods and groceries. They have fresh produce and hard to find items, as well as a bakery section and meats dept. Their food court has one of the best Persian food even more than some fancy restaurants IMO, and I know great Persian food because my dad makes the most amazing Persian food! Their Fesenjan, I say Fesenjoon, is my favorite outside from my dads. Some places make it too sour or too sweet. This one is just right. What is this Fesenjoon, you ask? It is a stew that is mainly made from pomegranate juices and a ton of walnuts with chicken and you eat it over rice. It is my favorite stew. Their other food are delicious too such as their kabobs etc, however, their Ash reshteh is so freaking good especially on a cold day or if you’re under the weather. It is a green soup with noodles. Let’s just say we ordered from Mission Ranch for my small birthday/farewell party at my parents’ house before we left for Texas. I just wanted to have some good Persian food before leaving, and it takes a whole day to make so I didn’t wanna bother my poor dad who was already sad that we were leaving :(

The food is good but not worth an hour wait. The restaurant gets extremely crowded and orders take 45 minutes to an hour to make. Yes, it’s fresh but it’s not fun waiting with other angry and hungry patrons. I usually call in to save time but always find myself waiting another 15 to 30 minutes after I pay. About the food, the chicken kebab is always good and they give you tons of rice… it’s almost wasteful. My husband usually gets the lamb shank but always complains it’s a little bland. The service is not amazing but the food is good with very reasonable prices.

I agree with everyone that they have the best selection of fresh produce and nuts. But one of the main reason i love this place is for their amazing prices on their steaks, I mean N.Y. steak at 5.99, that’s amazing! And it’s a great cut. Not to mention their fresh filet of sole(my favorite) & salmon.

Fresh vegetables and good price. I enjoyed grocery shopping here I can find everything and it is way better than the department stores. Only downside, if you have a question will take 10 minutes before you can track someone down to help you. Meet section: they have fresh meet and ok service. It’s a bit difficult to find someone to help you and the employees seem very unhappy! But I still would shop there since the quality of meet is good.

Calling in order should be improved… I called 3 different times and was placed on hold everything… then every few minutes someone would pick up and place me on hold again… it’s very frustrating and unprofessional… I could hear the waiters picking up and placing the call down… this went on for 15 minutes. I finally came in… had to wait 40 minutes for 2 orders of food. I was very disappointed, be I really liked this place.

Abundance of international products and fresh goods. The Sangak and Barbari(Iranian flat breads) are amazing! Hot of the oven, bread has never tasted so good! The deli counter has all the Mediterranean goodies you can dream of. The restaurant has wide selection of Iranian dishes and appetizers. The bakery has fresh biscotti type Iranian pastries. I am hooked on this place!

Absolutely looooooove this market! I was visiting my brother at his new place and I wanted to make some home made albondigas soup(Mexican meatball soup) for him and his girlfriend. So he recommended we head over to the local Persian market to pick up what we needed. We headed to the produce section first and there were plenty of options for fruits and vegetables. The prices were also very very reasonable. The butcher had halal meats, so we picked up some steaks as well as some ground beef(for the meatball soup). You have to grab a number from the paper ticket and wait your turn for your number to be called. I really liked that because it brought some order to the chaos that was prime time evening hours on a work night. They also had this large section of raw nuts at very affordable prices. So my brother and I picked up some raw walnuts, pecans, and cashes since we both use them in our salads, smoothies, and for snacking. The butcher was really friendly, but the produce guy, the cashier, and the young lady that worked the peanut area gave us an icy reception. Even so, I still like this place since they have a lot of foods here that you won’t find at a typical super market.

I really like their market here. I’ve never eaten at the Persian restaurant and based on the reviews I don’t think I want to, but the market here is awesome. Most markets in Mission Viejo are super markets run by big companies, but this place is a nice local market. I came here because I knew I could get some good produce for cheap and I needed some veggies for a bone broth I was making. Their produce is really fresh and you can find all different types of fruits and veggies. The produce can be dirty, but that can all be fixed with a good rinse at home. I also walked around their deli. I saw that they had nice looking olives and they surprisingly had headcheese. I haven’t seen headcheese since I was in Italy, so of course I had to get it. I just got a little bit to try it out. It turned out ok, it was a bit bland. I also got the spicy greek olives which didn’t turn out all that spicy. When opening my olives I found some old cooked rice in the plastic bag around it which was kinda gross, but it didn’t get into the olives or anything. It’s not exactly the cleanest market, but you get a lot for your dollar. I got leeks, onions, ginger, olives and head cheese all for about $ 8, what a steal. The staff here aren’t bad. The man at the deli helped me out quickly and my cashier was friendly. I think I’m going buy produce here more often because it’s so cheap and there’s a great variety.

Updated review: Mission Ranch, a Persian/Middle Eastern market, is still a solid four stars. Their produce is still inexpensive, much cheaper than regular chain grocery stores. Today, I loaded up on their small avocados, 4 for $ 1. They currently have the best satsuma tangerines – sweet and juicy with no seeds! I also loaded up on Persian cucumbers. Great selection of dried fruit and nuts… wonderful fresh baked bread… love their persimmons… grapefruit 3 for $ 1…the list goes on and on… I still wish they carry organic produce, but other than that, it’s a great store!
