Really good coffee and friendly service. That’s all I can vouch for on this visit but I would definitely go back. Pastries and bagels looked excellent and inviting.

Can’t believe I haven’t reviewed this place yet! Great place to stop if you’re in the area even if you’re not going to Mission Hospital. A great variety of coffee drinks and sandwiches that are made to order rather than prepackaged like most shops. They have a good selection of pastries with the apple fritter being my favorite. I mean the damn thing must weigh 5 pounds and I feel a pain in my chest(at least you’re at a hospital). when I eat it but oh so good. Erin and Gale provide great service and are always friendly and fast, even when it gets busy. Only downside is it isn’t open on the weekend.

Unless you are a patient of the Mission Heritage group or work for Mission Heritage or Mission Hospital, I don’t think you have ever heard of this small coffeehouse. It is located in the Mission Medical Plaza building in Mission VIejo. in mind that if you want to visit this place, you are going to have to park in a Mission Hospital parking lot and get a parking ticket and pay a fee to park. Just throwing that out there, so it is not a surprise. Not only do they have excellent hot and cold coffee beverages, but they have excellent pastries and make really awesome sandwiches at this tiny little place. They make an excellent Iced Americano here. I get it with soy as I am a lactose-challenged Asian ;) This my drink of choice in warmer weather and packs a bit of octane to keep me going in the morning. These chillier days, I have been getting the Hazelnut Latte with no whip and soy milk. It is so dellcious. Just the right amount of hazelnut goodness. You can call in orders for breakfast or lunch sandwiches here. I have done that often. They make some terrific sandwiches here. My absolute favorite is the Cold Cut Combo which I have split with my coworkers. The sandwiches here are gargantuan. When I was handed this sandwich, I thought OMG, this thing is heavy. This particular sandwich is loaded with bacon, ham, turkey, cheese, onion, etc. It is awesome! I had avocado substituted for tomato that day. My five star rating is not only for what you can purchase to eat or drink here, but the staff. They are so awesome. They get to know their customers and their favorite orders. I am greeted by name here and asked if I want my usual. It really makes you feel welcome and recognized as a regular patron. Just a great little hidden gem in Mission Viejo that I am glad to have close to me.

So, I recently started working in the area and I’ve been looking for a coffee shop that isn’t Starbucks, I’ve had this bookmarked but could never find it. I had no idea it was in the Hospital, their Unilocal page failed to mention that. So, I was getting lunch at the hospital like I always do and I noticed a coffee cart, seen it a couple times but this times I figured I’d try it out. The honey vanilla latte is what stuck out to me, but everything else seems really good as well. Initially, I forgot to say soy milk and sugar free vanilla, but the barista was kind and dumped the other one and made mine exactly how I wanted it with no complaints or attitude. In fact, she was very personable. It was a surprisingly a VERY delicious latte and I will definitely be coming back for more so that I can try everything on the menu. Funny thing is that I didn’t realize I was at café au lait, put it together the next day when I was browsing their Unilocal page.

My coworker got me hooked to their vanilla frap with caramel drizzle. So rich and refreshing and especially not TOO sweet. I’m hooked! Downside, a little bit expensive $ 5 for a «large» but really medium size.

Tiny shop inside the hospital… when comparing to hospital food this place is GREAT. The staff is very friendly and really like what they do. I’ve tried the sunrise croissant and turkey club which were delicious. The portions are generous and I had leftovers. Considering the size of the place it’s wonderful that they have so much healthy options. The price is a little higher but they provide the better quality as a result. Originally I was bummed when this was the only food place but they exceeded my expectations.

I Just started working in this building and visit often. Everything I’ve ever tried here has been very good. I highly recommend their sunrise croissant and turkey club. The only thing is that their samdwhiches are priced a bit high($ 7-$ 9) but I guess you have to pay a bit more for quality. Portion sizes are also generous. Staff is always friendly and calls out orders by name which is always a nice touch in my opinion.
