Not a great experience but a good experience. We went for lunch on a Monday, the windows provide a lot of natural light. My 3 yr old daughter ate for free. Meat and sauces were great. I would come back again.

Haven’t been here in years. Everything inside is exactly the same. The food is «almost» tasty but it’s missing something to be good. Almost every recipe tastes the same. Not a very clean place either. My shirt stuck to the back of the chair. Wonder what the kitchen looks like? The counter to pay your bill was flat out gross. To cap it off I paid with cash and the money went right into a drawer. No Cash Register to keep track of sale tax from cash paying customers. I’m going down to 1 Star

I’ve been coming to this location for about ten years now and it is the best Mongolian BBQ restaurant between LA and San Diego. The meat and veggies are really fresh, constantly changed and the noodles are the best I’ve ever had at a Mongolian BBQ restaurant. The line usually runs pretty fast, as they have at least one person working on the grill at a time. I really enjoy the different sauces that you can put on. Totally customizable to whether you like it really spicy or not so spicy. They have dragon oil, which gives your plate a really nice hot/spicy taste. My favorite. They usually aren’t super fast at drink refills, but they always give refills quickly if you ask for one. I always leave this place satisfied and will continue coming back here.

It’s pretty good, but the owners or waiters are really grumpy. Kids menu is pretty expensive too. But if you are looking for some good all you can eat Mongolian BBQ, this place will do the trick. Nothing fancy, just good food, nice cooks, and grumpy service. We go about once or twice a year to get our BBQ on, but I’d go more often if I got a smile or thanks once in a while.

Newly remodeled outside but the inside is exactly the same. That is NOT a good thing. Zero atmosphere, dirty restroom, chipped and dirty paint. Management needs to stand there and take a good, hard look at their business and then hire a good cleaning crew, hire a painting crew and buy a few pictures for the walls. Service is friendly but indifferent. Although rice is included it is not provided unless you ask for it. There is no explanation of menu or return trips by the waiter to ask if you’d like another drink. As for the food, it is fresh and tasty, depending on your skills at mixing the ingredients. It’s do it yourself where you grab a bowl, pile it with raw food and the cook rapidly teppan grills it. All you can eat, Atmosphere is important to a dining experience. Think about it, owners. Maintenance is part of running a business.

I’ve visited Big Grill 3 times. I never bothered to read the reviews unfortunately. The food was great on each visit. If you can survive on 1 glass full of ice with a little bit of water, then by all means stop in. I would be totally fine if he brought me a pitcher of ice water and ignored me for the entire meal. And if you order a soda, good luck getting a single refill. For me, it’s definitely worth the longer drive to Genghis Khan where the food is as good or better, and I gain at least 5 pounds of water weight… I try not to make direct comparisons on Unilocal, but every time I’m compelled to leave a review, I end up doing it. I guess I appreciate knowing some alternatives to restaurants that aren’t cutting it.

My family and I have been coming here for a few years. The flavor is good, the selection of meats(chicken, beef, pork, lamb) and veggies are good, the selection of sauces are good. The cooks are good, although this last weekend when we went there, one of the cooks seemed to be chopping my food more than stir frying it. :(The price is reasonable. A lot of people here on Unilocal have mentioned that their service is subpar. I personally think their service is average. Look, this is not a 5-star restaurant, or even a 4-star restaurant. So what if you have to ask for water couple of times? So what if they bring you your check before you even take the first bite?(This happened to us this weekend) You come here for the food, not the service. Plus, the service at the other AYCE Mongolian BBQ on El Toro is not any better, so where else are you going to get your Mongolian BBQ fix in south OC? If you like Mongolian BBQ or want to try Mongolian BBQ, this place is your best bet. My family and I will continue to come here regularly.

Pretty straight forward ayce mongolian bbq noodle place. Similar to great khan in mission viejo mall foodcourt, but you can get unlimited plates of noodle. Honestly i cant imagine eating more than 2 plates, but it is definitely worth the money. Ingredients are much better quality than«fast food» mongolian noodle places. Good service and i saw the owner looking older gentleman performing little magic tricks for a family with kids next table, which my wife and i found pretty silly and cute.

Food is pretty good. Service is very spotty. Waited on water refills and waited and waited for he check. If you’re in a hurry skip it.

Last time I visited 3 months ago, I had the runs 2 hours after my meal… I decided to give the place another try and I got the runs AGAIN! Also, they rush out the bill before you even put a bite of food in your mouth! Can I at least SIT and try the food before you ask me to pay? I’m NEVER going back, NEVER. To all of you who think it’s ok with be treated with disrespect and want to gamble a long bout with diarrhea, knock yourself out.

Older man is so incredibly rude! I went in on Tuesday night with a group of 4 adults. We all ordered food, drinks and split an appetizer. My husband ordered a lemonade to drink and asked for a refill and the man gave us the dirtiest look. Half way through our meal I grabbed my husbands lemonade to take a sip and the man runs up to us and yells…“No sharing drink! Next time you come you don’t get any refills!” Keep in mind that I ordered a hot tea and he never gave me a hot water refill! The food is good, bread is tasty and the cooks are courteous. Sad that this man, who I think may be the owner gives the worst customer service!

Very tasty at a great price. $ 12 for all you can eat Mongolian. Can’t go wrong. You mix together your own plate and they cook it for you. First choose from lamb, beef, pork, or chicken. Then add veggies. I like bell peppers mushrooms shoots water chestnuts and celery.

This place has great potential if they remodeled and cleaned the place up. The food is good but the buffet counter is always messy, dirty looking and always needs more of something. We come here because we like Mongolian bbq and this is the only one around but wish they would make changes. The service isn’t so great either.

The food is decent. The owner is a rude prick. He came up to us and told us we were not seated at the correct table because there were menus at the table. We explained to him that nobody greeted us when we walked in so we went to a table that appeared to be open. We asked him if he wanted us to move. He walked back to the front desk and grabbed the«Please wait to be seated» sign and brought it over to our table and showed it to us. We explained that we did wait but nobody acknowledged us. he did not seem to understand and neither did we. This is the way you treat your paying guests? Not me prick, I will go somewhere where my business is appreciated. I do not go out to eat to be treated badly by some rude prick owner.

To start things off I am to make clear, I am a Mongolian BBQ veteran. I have spent countless hours shoveling mongolian goodness down the hatch. With that being said I’m going to tell you the reason behind this one star rating. The clean-cut Asian man who absolutely despises the customer, fails to give anything close to be considered customer service. With all the displeasing grunts and looks given when asked for pocket bread and simply water. Or God for bid an extra napkin for the«Mongo sweats». I have always been courteous and tipped the man no matter what his disposition was that day. But he continues his disrespectful Heinous behavior, compared to that of a monkey in a white polo shirt. The cooks and dishwashers are my boys. Major shout out… But that guy… That one guy… The clean cut Asian guy… What did we ever do to upset you. Please if you see this, change your ways.

Came here with my sweets for dinner for the first time tonight. Of the local Mongolian places I’ve tried this one is by far the best. Very clean and the veg was all fresh and well stocked. I appreciate a variety of veg and meat choices and they certainly delivered. They have some items I haven’t seen elsewhere like tofu chunks and different seasoning sauces like lemon water and garlic water. The sauces added in the suggested order combined to make this meal taste special. Other Mongolian places are good, but this one is much tastier! The staff are fast and very kind. I appreciate their excellent service. I won’t bad mouth other places because they’re ok and they feed me but these folks are much nicer than I expected them to be. Also the man at the front did an impromptu magic trick for us on our way out the door. I love silly people! Will be back for sure.

This is probably one of the few sit-down AYCE Mongolian BBQ around here. There used to be a few in the mall but it’s getting very rare to see them now. This was my second visit and both times, my husband and I were very satisfied with the food. We’ve tried a few Mongolian BBQ but this particular one is probably one of the few has 4 types of meat(Chicken, pork, beef and lamb). They have decent selection of veggie and sauces(with instructions). I got their iced tea and I noticed it’s actually unsweetened herbal tea(my guess is Prunella vulgaris). Pretty tasty. My family and I came here for dinner after a friend’s son’s 2-year-old birthday party at Gymboree. It wasn’t as busy by 6:30pm but as soon as 7pm struck, there’s an influx of diners coming in for dinner. The cooks behind the big grill did increase from 1 to 3 to keep the crowd down, which is nice. As the result, the wait isn’t too bad. Both my husband and I had two servings and were very satisfied. We definitely will come again if we are in the neighborhood!
