The Dublin Lawyer was excellent. Unfortunately everything else wasn’t. I will definitely not be back. Probably the worst possible service for a Friday night possible. The place was at best 25% full. There is no reason to be that horrible. It took them 30 minutes before we got water at our table. Another 30 before our order was taken. No salt or pepper at the table, no parmigiana for the pasta, no cracked pepper to be found; maybe it was all with the waitress who couldn’t be found either. Go someplace else… anyplace else… McDonalds would have been better. We know and understand one visit is not sufficient to make a determination. We will give Morgan’s another try!

Menu never changes… mediocre at best… only highlight is the patio in summer for drinks… have been here Maybe 5 or 6 times and it just gets worse… could be awesome with some professional training… sorry

Love this place! The food was great, the beer and Moscow mule was even better! The atmosphere is really great as well — you don’t feel like you’re in Mishawaka, IN. The exposed brick wall, and chalk board table feel like you’re in a cool niche restaurant in an artsy downtown. If you’re looking for a unique place to go with friends, or on a date night this is your spot

Still trying to love this place as much as I did when it opened. Firstly, tired of boring same menu from opening. It’s been over a year folks!!! Your idea of monthly«tastes» or whatever you call them is great, but too long! Think about those of us that show up on the same night every week… Same menu… like Ground Hog Day! Craig is awesome bartender. Servers are always friendly. Owners must wake up… Please

Atmosphere, yeah yeah yeah, sorry came here to eat, not dwell on what Mishawaka was like 100 years ago. Ordered the vaunted steakburger, that came with blue cheese crumbles, I thought, only to see that I was charged a dollar for it, I i also noticed I was charged for the fries. Now I don’t know if this was just crafty accounting by Daphne, our waitress, or a standard practice at this place. Anyway, getting back to the food, the woman had crabcakes, which to me is an odd thing to have at a «pub» in the middle of America, millions of miles from actual crab areas(like the seas?), but whatever. She they were a tepid alright, but not anywhere close to being worth 3 small cakes for $ 14! I had high hopes for my steakburger. First bite, not much of anything, what the hell. Second bite, oh, hey, now i taste something with some flavor, third bite, aaaah, there it is! Tremendously hedonistic flavors all over the place! The drag was, 2 more bites and it was gone. For a $ 14 steakburger, that flavor-blast should hit you right away, not 2⁄3 of the way thru the thing? Am I right? Could be a helluva alot bigger too, for that price. I will visit this place again, but the rent must be crazy high to charge these kind of prices for boutique portions. Big clue $ 4.50 for a Budweiser .LOL! I like the place, and all, hope it survives, but it is not offering a product that merits its rather high prices. $ 36 for a burger w/fries, 3 crabcakes and coffee? Plus tip?!~?! Me don’t think so.

Come hungry because the food is excellent. They have a staple menu then they have monthly specials that rotate from country to country by the month. The bacon bruschetta is great start and save room for desert because they are wonderful as well. Throw in a couple drinks and it’s easy to rack up the bill but we’ve always been happy when we left and look forward to our next visit. On a side note it’s essential to make a reservation because there’s limited seating. Nice patio dining when the weather is nice.

Based on the reviews, we had high hopes for this place. We went on a Friday night and the bar seating area was almost full, always a good sign. We ran into a couple we knew who said they had been here multiple times, also a good sign. I had a «black dog sour» which was good as was the«hair of the dog» draft from a local craft brewery. We had the pretzel and the crab cake appetizers which were both fine. Overall, the service was attentive and the pacing about right. The problem was with the surf and turf entrée that both my son and I had. I asked for my steak medium and he requested medium rare. Mine was close to well done and his was medium to medium well. I probably should have sent it back but I was hungry so I didn’t. The rub on the sea bass was so salty we both scraped it off. I had to ask for butter and salt & pepper for the nicely baked potato. Who serves a baked potato with nothing on it? My son thought the vegetables(baby carrots and green beans) were frozen. I wasn’t sure based on the texture. On the plus side, my wife’s lamb was quite good and cooked the way she asked for it. Although we were asked about the appetizers, I found it a little odd that we were never asked how our entrees were. As the saying goes, you only get one chance to make a first impression and sadly, the Little Black Dog Tavern didn’t deliver. I would consider returning for drinks and appetizers but probably would not take a chance on a dinner entrée again. My 3 star rating is is for the drinks, appetizers and atmosphere. Based on our entrees alone, it would only be 2.

We went here yesterday and had a great meal. We arrived around 3:45 to find the restaurant completely dead, which was a little disappointing but understandable given the time of day and the fact it was a Friday. Food: 4⁄5 We ordered the marguerita pizza, black dog, and garlic bread. The pizza and hot dog were both very good but the garlic bread was really small and didn’t really hit the spot for me. Service: 4⁄5 Pretty quick and our waitress was very nice. Only lame part was when she told us that they don’t start making pasty’s till 5. The building itself was really cool and the outdoor seating is great.

Recently ate here for a birthday dinner. The location is really good looking, it’s kind of hard to believe it’s back there. The table had a chalkboard top so you could draw on it, which was a lot of fun. I was really happy with the food. They have a regular menu and a menu that changes each month based on a different European country. We started with some appetizers. We had the scotch egg, the fried olives and the bacon bruschetta. Each of the appetizers was a bit small, but all were quite tasty. I had the pasty for my appetizer, which was very good and filling. The menu offers an option of 1 or 2 pasties, I would say just go with the 1 and get a side. I’m a huge eater but 2 would be too much. My wife had the hot dog, which was really good. It had a nice snap too it and the toppings were nice. Only complaint there was way too much bun. The bun was seriously huge. My parents had the burger and they really enjoyed it. I would say most of the entrees were a good value, except for some reason the spaghetti and meatballs my brother in law got were $ 14. It just seemed like the most simple item on the menu, and yet it cost must more that it should. Otherwise I felt like the pasty, hot dog and burger were all great prices. They had some good local beer on tap, terrific food and an awesome location. I will be back.

Took my family here to celebrate my son’s birthday. It was a hit. As it was the first time here for all of us we tried to get a variety of foods. My husband got the burger and it was truly the best burger he and I have ever had. It is made with short ribs, chuck, and some other meat I don’t remember. It was only $ 9, served with homemade potato chips that were excellent. I got the fish and chips, my daughter got the grouper sandwich. Both were battered in a beer batter. The grouper had a fishier taste so our personal preference is the fish and chips(cod). I will definitely go back. The only disappointment was the dessert. They were only ok but we don’t usually go out for desserts so that won’t keep us away. It is a very small place so definitely make reservations.

Wow! Where do I begin? I have been wanting to come here, so it was my choice for my birthday dinner. The service was fantastic! Jordan was phenomenal. As for the food… impeccably prepared and cook to perfection. I do believe that this is my new favorite restaurant! Better than Rocky River by far! Thank you Morgan’s for a great foodie experience!

I want this tavern to do well and stay in business because it has a good atmosphere in the bar and some tasty items on the menu. They don’t over serve on the portions and are reasonably priced. Two problems: their hours make it so that I’ve gone there(or suggested it) three times and found them to be closed. Two, went to dinner at 5pm before 7pm movie and was still there at 8pm because it took 30 – 40 mins to get a drink from the bar and order dinner, another 30 – 40 mins to get an appetizer(pretzel sticks), 15 – 20 more mins for entrees, and 20 mins for the bill(delivered without pens and that quickly because we asked for it more than once). Could it have been an off night? Wouldn’t know they never apologised or explained.

Over Christmas visit, I was looking for something other than chains to go to with my parents. I found this place and we were not dissapointed. The beer they had on tap was delicious and one I had never heard of before. My father ordered gin, but they did not have his regular brand so the owner brought him a sample of her favorite, so friendly. The food was good. I had the spaghetti and meatballs. The pasta and meatballs were delicious, the sauce was OK if slightly sweet. My dad had the burger and said it was good, the chips were to die for. I could eat a plate of those. My mom had the spinach salad and said it was good then the meat pie thing, which she enjoyed and said it was tender. The carrots on the side were delicious. Would go back next time I am in town.

Had the lamb appetizer perfectly cooked, grouper sand which, and salmon. Everything was Fresh and wonderful! Very nice portions and very well priced. I encourage a trip and enjoy the relaxing patio. Chef and owners are very friendly. Looking forward to my next trip there!

We had a fabulous dining experience here. From the start everyone was really friendly. The owner was present and did a great job running and assisting. We ordered the lamb for an app and they were so good I ordered them for my entrée! Cooked and seasoned perfectly and with flair! My husband ordered the steak Diane and it was excellent. The wine selection is great for the restaurant style/size. Overall a lovely carefree dining experience at a locally owned restaurant. This is a new favorite.

We loved our first trip to Morgan’s. The food was outstanding. Service was great. Enjoyed speaking with both the chef and owner of the restaurant Great appetizer of scallops and blue cheese pancakes. Every one of our entrees was delicious including a 9 bone rack of lamb for only $ 21. Well cooked and delicious sauce. Chicken sliders and grilled salmon with maple syrup sauce were also terrific. Can’t wait to go back and try the rest of the menu… Hopefully enjoying the new outdoor patio when it’s ready.

Very nice new local restaurant/pub. I had the grouper sandwich, which was very tasty. The slaw served on the side was nice. My wife had the Cornish Pasty, which she said very tasty. After the meal, the owner and chef stopped by to check with us. Very nice place. The music was an interesting mix though… I glad to see that this space at the 100 Center is being put to good use.

Great atmosphere! Great food! Great service! The owners are super friendly and the chef makes delicious, attractive food. We will definitely be back! We tried the warm bacon spinach salad, pork porterhouse dinner(was a special for the night), sautéed chicken duxelles. Tried the cheddar apple tart for dessert, And the pavlova(special for the night) it was such a unique, delicious dessert. Nice locally owned, unique restaurant
