Their pizza is actually halfway decent but their delivery driver seems to have played a nasty trick on my father-in-law and pocketed an extra $ 35 that he shouldn’t have(my father unbenknownst to me had met the driver in the hotel lobby and tried to pay for the bill even though it was already paid for with a debit card I gave over the phone– the driver simply told my generous father-in-law that the debit transaction could be voided allowing him to pay with cash). It gets worse. When I tried to get a resolution the local branch manager fielded my concerns but was completely rude and fabricated lies saying he had surveillance footage from the hotel that not only disproved my story but proved that my father in law had acted like a «psycho» ripping up the receipt and only paying the driver the $ 6. The stench coming from Bruno’s was overpowering at this point. It was such a ridiculous story that I invested time into actually getting the footage of my father-in-law, a kind-hearted minister who gives every last penny to the poor, go psycho on a delivery driver. The hotel front desk employee who I called told me she was there when the transaction happened and she corroborated my father in law’s side of the story. Also she point out one big contradiction: there was also no footage whatsoever in the lobby so how could the manager at Bruno’s have the surveillance footage on his phone, as he claimed to me? As a Wisconsinite passing through northwestern Indiana, it made me wonder what kind of strange place I had spent one night in. After all, no company has ever treated me so disrespectfully in my 36 years. I tried to contact Bruno’s corporate office and, lo and behold, I couldn’t even get a courtesy response back from them, and it’s been weeks since the incident. Why wouldn’t corporate at least try to reach me for a clarification? I’m sorry, but I had no idea that making pizza would ever necessitate such high levels of shadiness! P. S. It shouldn’t take one hour to make a pizza and deliver it a few blocks away either. Hello! Bruno’s! I’m still here waiting for your response!

Food is great. Run by kids who have no idea what they are doing. Get the wrong pizza half the time and wait is always 3x what they tell you. Needs better management.

The one star is for service since I can’t get past the girl who answers the phone, not once but twice. The first time she was completely rude, left me on hold for over 15 mins, and when I called back(I thought she forgot about me) she just said«well we’re busy with a party of 16» and seamlessly put me back on hold. The second time we got to the point where she asked me how far we live because they don’t deliver over a 2 mile radius, I said I’m not sure, and she responded with«well we don’t deliver beyond a 2 mile radius.» I pass on rude service.

Have been coming here for the real deal in pizza for at least 6 years. Always the best in town, hands down. There is a $ 7.99 take home deal that is the best in the universe, let alone the town. Last nite, went there for a pie to go, and had a pizza-gasm once we got home to eat it. I saw that a John guy had given this a low rating, said he «had a hard time cutting it with his fork»…who the hell uses a fork to eat pizza??? Well, we all have our issues, and I guess John just has pizza eating as one of his. There also is a $ 52 slices and a soft drink deal at lunch that is an economic haymaker, at least for me, as I used to work a block away from this place. The best, freshest, most non-corporate pizza in town! Blows Barnabys’ away.

Just moved here and had a taste for pizza. I always get nervous trying new places, since my former home in Arizona boasted some of the worst pizza I’ve ever had. And since I can’t stand franchise pizza places, they seldom care about actual taste, had to throw caution to the wind and try it. I was very pleasantly surprised. The crust was tasty and they did not skimp on the toppings. Definitely found my pizza place

Great wood-fired pizza. Friendly staff, great prices. This is a great place for take-out.

Place is clean. Service is friendly and quick. Two pizza slices were lukewarm, very tough, and not very tasty. A real china plate and steel knife and fork were welcome. Difficult to cut a slice even with that steel knife. Maybe their fresh whole pizzas are better. $ 5 for two slices and a soda seemed like a good deal, but…

I am visiting family from Colorado, and visited Bruno’s for dinner. I was very pleased with the delicious pizza. It was very hearty and I loved the chewy crust. The girls inside were very very friendly and helpful. :)

Got pizza for the family from here last night and it was great! I’ve worked next door to this particular location for a while and I wish I would have tried their pizza sooner. The topping were all fresh, the sauce was sweet(but in a good way), and the crust is one of the best I’ve ever had! The inside of the restaurant is a bit cramped but it’s clean so it’s ok. This is one of the best pizzas around in my opinion!

This was known as «Secret Brunos» when I was in school because not many people know of this location with a few tables that primarily does take-out tucked away in a little strip mall on Edison just past Grape. The secret is that it’s the same delicious pizza as served at their other locations, with a lot faster service. Get it by-the-slice or order a whole pie. Drinks are either a 20oz or a 2-liter from their cooler.

My husband and I just moved to town and wanted to try out the local pizza places. We started with Bruno’s. We tried to get pizza from them on July 4 and they were CLOSED! I couldn’t believe it. But we tried again 2 weeks later with great success. Overall, the pizza was really good. The toppings were fresh, the cheese was plentiful and tasty, and the crust was thick and chewy. You could taste the beer in the crust, which is a bonus in my opinion. The only off-note was the sauce. It was too sweet, with not enough flavor. It could have used some more herbs, and maybe a tiny bit of heat from some crushed red pepper flakes or something. It was definitely lacking. Some crushed red pepper flakes added on top of the slice of pizza made a definite improvement, but I do wish the sauce was more flavorful. Otherwise, it was great! We will be eating here again.
