Did this place close down? The telephone number is out of service, went by 2 weeks ago on a Sunday and it was closed. I have had no luck finding a better place than this to get my Dominican food cravings fulfilled!

Food is good, but it’s taking forever and the restaurants isn’t even busy. But I am pregnant and really craving the pork chunks so I’m still waiting for it. It’s been 30 minutes already

I had a nice experience when I ate at this Dominican restaurant. The waitress provided great service. I had the oxtail with white rice and beans, tostones, and mangu. To drink they have a merengue flavoured soda that is imported from Dominican Republic that tastes sweet. The oxtail meat was well seasoned and it falls right off the bone, and with the white rice and beans it was a perfect combination. Their tostones were crispy and lightly salted. The classic Dominican dish made with plantains called mangu was delicious with lots of sautéed onions, and with the Country Club merengue soda almost felt like we had gone to DR!

Typical Dominican food, good sesoning and portion size, but they are overpriced…21.95 for a Mofongo with Shrimp or Crab meat. I asked for pastelillos, none available…

I’ve been to this place before and I remember not being impressed. A couple of days ago my hunny and I decided to give it another try by using an Amazon local voucher. We figured, why not? Which the waitress had no training on how to deduct this from our check. The location was pretty empty. There was Dominican music playing in the background. At first it was tolerable to listen to, but we waited longer than the average time to pay for a check and I was ready to run out of there. I ordered chicken breast with tostones and a side of salad. It didn’t take long for the food to come out. I wasn’t given a fork so I had to get one from the counter. The tostones were yummy and the salad is well… just a regular good ol’ salad. You can’t mess that up, right? The chicken though, was a whole other story. I remember taking a couple of bites and repeatedly telling myself that this could not be the flavor they were aiming for. My hubby tries two bites and we both came to the conclusion that it tasted rancid. The waitress without trouble was kind enough to offer another entrée. I went ahead and ordered fried chicken chunks but by then I was too grossed out to continue eating. The taste of the chicken chunks was nothing to gloat about. I did find myself picking off of my hubby’s entrée — pork chunks and mofongo. The pork had a nice flavor but I found that mofongo to be a bit dry. To be fair, I did not try the mofongo with the creole sauce provided. Which according to my husband, was«outstanding.» I only gave them 2 stars for their tostones, friendliness of the staff and for my lovely stomach ache. Thanks Brisa.

This place is near my house and I remember visiting them a while back and remembering that it was a little pricey, but Amazon Local was selling a $ 20 voucher for $ 10 so I decided to give this place another try. This restaurant is a standalone building right near the corner of 441 and Miramar Parkway. There’s plenty of parking. They specialize in Dominican and other hispanic foods. The inside of the place is dim and the music was a little loud and got a little annoying to hear after the first 10 minutes in there. I arrived and the restaurant is basically empty say for a guy at the bar. It is a Tuesday night at 7:00pm so I’d think they would be more people. Fine, we have more space for ourselves. I immediately inform the waitress that I have a voucher to use. She looks at it and says that she doesn’t know how those things work and she’ll have to call the owner. The owner showed up a little later and was a super nice guy. He looked at the coupon and said there was no problem with honoring it. So we place our orders and about 15 minutes later we have our food. I ordered the Mofongo(smashed plantain) with Pork Chunks. It also came with a salad and a side of creole sauce to dip the mofongo in. The taste of this food was outstanding and I loved it. Both the pork and the mofongo were on the dry side but the taste was just wonderful. And yes, as one reviewer mentioned, probably the best mofongo in South Florida. My wife ordered a chicken breast with tostones and salad. She tried the chicken and didn’t think that it tasted good. She at first said that it tasted weird. I took a bite and my immediate impression was that it tasted rancid but I didn’t say anything as to not influence her so I asked her again what did she think of it. She tells me that she honestly thinks that the chicken is bad and she is not going to eat it. I told her I felt the exact same way and she shouldn’t eat it. We called our waitress and told her. She had no problem taking it back and asked her what she would like instead. She chose the fried chicken chunks. These came out about 10 minutes later and tasted fine. The service overall was really slow. I never got a refill on my cup of water, and it took about 15 minutes to pay even thought we were the only ones eating there.

Best mofongo in South Florida(so far)!!! The chef is very accommodating, if it’s not on the menu he will make it for you!!! The fried chuletas were to die for!!! Servers were very nice and much at your service! The manager came over several times to make sure our orders were to our liking! This is a definite repeat!!!

Definitely happy that we found this restaurant! I am engaged to a Dominican but hes not always the first to run into the kitchen and make me some mangu. This joint is probably about 10 minutes from my house which is a plus, not only is the food yummy but its close by. The only downfall to this place is the prices! They do give alot of food though. We bought the mangu with queso frito, huevo frito and salami, we also got the mofongo with fried pork with was nicely seasoned with garlic which is what I look for. We also bought some rice and beans, the rice was tasty but the beans I could have done with out. My boo was also able to buy his hometown soda which I’m sure made him really happy since it is hard to find.
