I wasn’t impressed with their food. I had heard their food was much much better when it was the cowgirl. Would not return again

First time here and I was not disappointed. Service was good and the food was very tasty. I will be recommending this place to my friends in the area that will appreciate the authentic Mexican cuisine

I had really high hopes for this place. It’s cute and comfortable and the food was ok. Prices are a little high for it being a hole in the wall.

My family has found a new breakfast spot. We make a stop to Rodeo Café 2x a month. The flavor takes it to another level. From their coffee to the Rodeo potatoes(which are excellently seasoned) the waiters and the one waitress are amazing! Leave a tip you guys they put much effort into every table. Also, everything on their menus is top notch.

Love the eggs benedict. It’s a great family run restaurant. As someone who’s had the pleasure of many terrific restaurants living in both LA and NYC, it’s nice having a great place to eat that’s near by.

Gf wanted to try this place since she had a craving for chicken fried steak this morning but didn’t want to drive all the way to our usual brunch spot at Kick Back Jack’s in Rancho. We discovered this place thru Unilocal and decided to give it a try since it was so much closer to us. Upon arriving, we saw several groups sitting outside waiting. Good sign. We walked in and was greeted by very friendly staff and to a whole restaurant bustling with people. Another good sign. There were a couple counter seating that leads to an open kitchen. Food smelled great and we couldn’t wait to order. The restaurant itself was pretty small, I think it can probably only seat between 25 – 30 people. Luckily, we were able to get seated right away since we were the only small party. I ordered the French toast combo with bacon and eggs, Gf ordered the chicken fried steak with extra crispy hash brown and biscuits and gravy. Prices were very affordable. Food arrived promptly and the portions were good sized. The food was hot, cooked well, and tasty. I honestly haven had a French toast meal I didn’t like, but we’re super picky when it comes to chicken fried steak. Gf took a bite, smiled, and said we have a winner! The steak was nice and crispy on the outside while still being moist and juicy on the inside, not at all greasy or dry. We love the one from kick back jack and this is pretty similar in taste and texture. The hash browns were nice and crunchy just like how she ordered it. The salsa it came with added a nice flavor to the potatoes as well. Very happy we decided to give this place a try! We’ve found our new go to breakfast spot!

Had this place bookmarked for years and never got around to trying it! Finally came here this morning for their chicken fried steak. From the outside, the restaurant doesn’t have much curb appeal, but the inside was a different story. It was clean, well kept with a cute rodeo décor. Everyone was friendly and inviting. I loved the open kitchen and you can smell the delicious food as it’s being prepared. The kitchen staff worked so efficiently and was a well oiled machine. Now onto the food. I’m very picky when it comes to chicken fried steak, I like it crispy but not too crunchy on the outside while maintaining a juicy but not oily interior. The country gravy needs to flavorful and should cover the steak so that every bite has a good balance of peppery gravy with the meaty goodness of the perfectly fried steak. This place hits the spot! It’s everything a Chicken fried steak should be. The hash brown was nicely cook and had a good crunch on the outside and soft and fluffy in the inside. The biscuit was dense but moist and perfect with the gravy. My bf got their French toast combo with bacon. The thick slices of French toast was perfectly cooked with awesome bacon, just the right amount of crispiness without being burnt. The food came out fast and hot, service was friendly and attentive. They were constantly walking around topping off people’s coffee. Great find for brunch! Thanks Unilocal

Love love this place!!! I wish I could eat it every morning lol it’s just too far and still don’t mind the drive, always a staple for special occasions. Green chilaquilles, rodeo potatoes, machaca and huevos con chorizo. Pretty much everything is delicious and let’s not forget their waffles and pancakes

Everything was Deeeeelicious! I had the huevos rancheros and my husband had the chilaquiles. My daughter had pancakes and sausages and everything was just yummy! YOUMUST.TRY.THE.POTATOES!!! Do not let the outside appearance fool you. The place looks really sketchy but the inside is welcoming and cozy. The place is tiny so be prepared to wait, but the wait is definitely worth it!

This is my second time here. I ordered something different this time. Chiliquiles Rojo w/scrambled eggs and they were delicious. I would prefer more egg & less chips but the flavor was definitely there. I believe they only offer this as a special on the weekends. The wait staff are friendly & efficient. The restaurant is very clean. The food is a little pricey($ 12 for Chiliquiles) but they seem to use good quality meats/products. Next time I’ll see if they have some healthy sides like possibly fresh fruit?

I was coming here 20 years ago, when it was the Cowgirl. It was the best breakfast in Riverside then, and now. Huge portions, delicious food, awesome pancakes! Flavorful gravy and biscuits, crispy, classic, chicken– fried steak. It’s all good. Great service. You’re going to wait on the weekends, if you don’t get there early. A bustling restaurant in the morning. It’s really cool to watch the chef work in the open kitchen.

I had the huevos rancheros and boyfriend had eggs over medium with corned beef hash plus biscuits and gravy. Perfectly roasted jalapeños garnished both plates. Huevos were the BEST I’ve ever had with some lip smacking crispy home fries. And delicious, perfectly balanced salsa on the side. The biscuits and gravy were also breathtaking. These were huge breakfasts so we’re kinda comatose right now but it was soooo worth it. Did I mention the good-looking, super pleasant staff? Stop in– you’ll love it.

One of the best breakfast places on the planet, unique and delicious dishes, very friendly staff, and the food is nothing short of amazing. Dont let the exterior fool you, the moment you walk in you will realize what an amazing place this really is. If you sit at the counter, like I did, you get a close up and personal view of the magic happening in the kitchen. The chef’s are busy but will still take time to say hello. Straight up just try it, I promise you wont be disappointed.

I found this place thanks to Unilocal.Based on the exterior alone, I’d have never gone in but Unilocalers haven’t lead me wrong yet and they didn’t here. Once inside, I was pleased by the pride evident in the well kept resteraunt and friendly staff. For me, breakfast cuisine is one of my favorites. I get quite elaborate with my own cooking at home. That said, this place does it right with all the«fixins» including my favorite; biscuits and gravy. And the prices are as old school as the decore. Even the music took my back in time. Loved it and I’m looking forward to going back and samplng more dishes.

Came here for the first time, since it is literally down the street, yet you may miss it on your first try. It looks«sketchy» & really small to be a café, but once inside, it’s like you are transported to a nice comfy, welcoming cowboy home. It’s small and tidy, but very well organized. The food is delicious ! I had the spinach and mushroom omelette with Rodeo potatoes, and it left me feeling FULL! Next time I need to try the infamous chilakiles. Prices are about the same as Denny’s, yet Rodeo tastes better and freshly made. P. S. If you have a baby carrier, let them know when you sign-in. We didn’t know, therefore had to wait a few more minutes for a bigger table. Overall, I’m coming back Rodeo !

This place stays consistent and delicious in food and service. I brought my sister here this morning for her first time and it was amazing yet again. I ordered the RIB-EYE and it was delicious! Nicely seasoned and had a lot of crisp fat, which is my favorite. I highly recommend getting gravy with the rodeo potatoes and toast, soooo good! My sister loved her CHILAQUILES with red sauce. This is my go to spot for delicious breakfast. Next time will definitely try the french toast that our neighbors ordered, smelled and looked amazing.

Believe the hype! Ahhhh best brunch ever: eggs benedict, omelette with rojo sauce, and side of biscuits and gravy. I’m salvating immensely as I type this review. Everything was on point, hot, fresh out from the grill, and delicious! The Benedict sauce was not too buttery and didn’t make me feel weighed down afterwards. I’ll have to come back and try their chilaquiles next time. The place is quite small and there’s a line out the door. At first glance it didn’t look like anything special on the outside, but inside there were tons of customers dining in. Nicely decorated for valentines day with a touch of the cowboy theme. Don’t be fooled into expecting your typical diner. They offer a wide range of American and Mexican for breakfast. The owner looks very content and happy as she rings up her guests and ask how everything was. It reminded me of a typical Vietnamese phở place as all the tables were close in proximity. However, there was actually enough room at this establishment and you didn’t have to feel awkward while being sat near other families. Thank goodness for that. Overall, the food and service was prompt and friendly. Parking is on the street and can get very crowded during rush eating hours.
