Such a cute little market and a great way to spend an hour on Saturday! Tip — don’t eat before you come here! There are tons of delicious food stands to choose from. It’s not so much a farmers market as a crafts market, but we did stop by the farm stands to take home some fresh peaches and some veggies. There were stands with jewelry, clothing, dog collars/treats, some beautiful artist stands with really unique paintings and photography, and some typical«colorado gear» stands. I really enjoyed walking around in the sunshine perusing the stands, and I also appreciate dog friendly spots — there were multiple dog water bowls for our pup to stop and drink at, and a «cooling pool» as well!

I’ve taken my family here when we were just looking for something simple to do with a lot of people. I recommend checking this out if you aren’t interested in spending $ 100+ per person on an activity. The atmosphere is great and the vendors always have something interesting. Not to mention Minturn is one of the coolest towns in the area. Classic Colorado in my opinion.

Fun. Very good sightseeing while visiting Vail. No shops particularly stood out, but it’s local and sort of the anti-Vail.

I wouldn’t call it a Farmer’s Market, just a Market. There are farmers there, just not a lot of em. fresh Roasted chili peppers are my favorite. and the options for lunch are endless. I went almost every Saturday and never left empty handed.

The Saturday market in Minturn is a pleasant place to go for an hour or two if you want to experience a more authentic Colorado town than what you get in Vail or Beaver Creek. It is set in the old-timey village of Minturn which is a 10 minute drive from Vail and takes place from 9am-2pm. Parking is available in a free parking lot on the edge of Minturn’s city limits. From there it is an easy walk to the market which consists of various tents where homemade soaps, pottery, candles, produce, novelty items and the like are sold(cash only). As for food, the usual market fare of hot dogs, sandwiches, cupcakes, artisanal bread and sno cones(during the summer, at least) are on offer. While we were there, a local 3-piece bluegrass band was playing. While there wasn’t anything there that I particularly needed, it was a fun thing to experience.

Umm, Farmer’s Market or Craft Fair… I’m not shopping for a pashmina or handmade candles, thank you very much. I’m looking for Palisade Peaches, Olathe Corn and some strange looking zucchinis. Same goes for Vail’s «farmer’s market»… can someone please talk to their marketing people and let them know of the typo?
