This place is a block from our friends house where we stay when we visit. Felt like the bartender wanted us out quick. Food ordered and arrived 45 minutes later, along with the couple next to us, who arrived 30 minutes after us, and sides were very hot and meats stone cold.

Stopped in for lunch during our visit to the Vail area. The BLT with the fried green tomatoes was delicious. Got a side of the sweet potato fries and coleslaw, fries were cooked perfectly and not over seasoned with salt. Coleslaw was AMAZING and super fresh! My hubs had the pork BBQ platter and loved it down to the last bite! Atmosphere has such a cool and chill vibe! A must try in this quaint cute town of Minturn!

Great ribs and pulled pork — not too messy but lots of flavor. Chill vibe and you really can’t beat the scenery. Perhaps the bar is set a little low by the alternatives available nearby, but this is some dee-lishis BBQ. Sit outside and watch the other travelers watch each other.

Awesome owner/chef that hangs out and talks with you. Amazing Bloody Mary with a chicken wing on top. I will definitely be back.

Great place to grab lunch. I just moved here and they will be one of my «go to» places. Clay was great, the food was amazing, and I shall be returning. I had the pulled pork sandwich and for desert, banana pudding. Delicious.

If your in the Vail-Beaver Creek area and looking for a great local spot for bbq, this is it. Great Staff, local charm and pin ball machines. The Wings were top notch and the ribs were as good as I have had anywhere in the US. Really meaty and tender, great smokiness from the peach wood and finished on the grill. The«hot bbq sauce» has the right amount of heat. The jalapeño hush puppies are outstanding as is the bourbon pecan pie al amode. A great value and a large beer selection.

Yum! Try the BLT with the fired green tomato, highly recommended. Seems like a locals bar, fun, laid back and reasonably priced!

This is my favorite hang out. Some glam-doll walks in the other day from Aspen as I was enjoying my beverage. Apparently this place is one of her favorite dives too. Well maybe a dive for Aspen standards but really this is where the locals go. It clean. Good selection of taps. Good value, nice staff and great bbq. My daughter likes the pinball, and the quarters go to charity.

Good pulled pork. Spicy mac and cheese. Why two stars? The waiter made us feel unwelcome while we waited a looong time for our lunch at 2:30. Did we really leave him a tip on a $ 62 lunch out of habit? Here is my tip for you– Sticky Fingers or Minturn Country Club unless you need BBQ. Just don’t bother the waiter.

Disappointing experience here all the way around. Place was essentially empty, but the server forgot to place our appetizer order and didn’t really apologize when we asked about it. The barbecue tasted like it was from a bag or boiled, I don’t think it had ever seen actual smoke. The sauce wasn’t great, but made the meat edible. The sides were forgettable.(Well wait, the fries were okay.) Mac and cheese was bland, cornbread dry. This is one of the few times where I’d say if you only option is this place or fast food, choose the drive through.

We were up for the weekend and so glad we chose this spot to have some beverages and great food. Great pizza, pulled pork, ribs, and YUM — fried green tomatoes are amazing. Also loved the spicy side of Mac and cheese with the ribs. Service was fast and they even comped my husbands meal when his came out a bit later. But the best part? Friendly staff, fun atmosphere! A big group of us, including my dog, came in to watch the Women’s National Team win the World Cup — and it was a great spot to do so! Love dog friendly restaurants and bars — this is a great one –and we will definitely be back next time we are up in Minturn.

If you like microwaved bbq plates that come out cold. And rude staff then this place is sweet. I’ve eating here a bunch and this place just constantly disappoints. Hey at least they are consistent!

The food never disappoints here. My son claims they make the best PB&J on the planet. I enjoyed the Georgia Pulled Pork and hand-cut sweet potato fries. The kids had fun playing pinball while they waited for the food.

The JB’s pulled pork is a solid choice. Good flavor and very lean. The best part was the fried green tomatoes and jalapeño hush puppies. Good beer selection too. Top it off with good service, and I liked this place a lot. I’ll be back next time I’m in the area.

The BBQ is so good here, so we were extremely disappointed when we ordered the wings to go and got home and they were burnt and gross. Why would your cook send these out of the kitchen? Such a disappointment and we paid $ 10.00 for something we can’t even eat and had to throw away.

Great all the way around. Love the food, drinks and the location is cool as well, the view from the deck is real Colorado in old town Midturn, a city that datres back to the 1800. A little out of the way but worth the drive. Would recommend the chicken, melt in you mouth and fall righ off of the bone, the sides are great as well. My fav is the Mac and cheese. Our area has two freat BBQ places to eat, I can not say one is better than the other because after eating at Kirbys I have seen that these guys have a gteat product as well. Will be back to see what the rest of the menu has to offer.

Kirby’s is a great spot, good food, no hype. If you are doing the Minturn Mile, stop in at Kirby’s instead of the Saloon. Great BBQ, Pizza and Southern Food. We stopped in for Wing Night, every Monday 50 Cent wings, we went with the Buffalo wings, great smokey undertone, full of Flavor and not too spicy. We also got the Fried Green Tomatoes and Mac and Cheese. Everything was great, forgot what a gem this places is. Make sure to swing by Kirby’s next time you are in the Vail area.

This is a great BBQ spot in the mountains. perfect after skiing/hiking feasting option. I went here with some friends after a long hike on Mt of the Holy Cross. Needless to say we were starving. Between the three of us we got a brisket sandwich, smoked chicken salad, and half rack of ribs. Out of the three the ribs were the best. BYFAR. The brisket was pretty plain and not that smokey(Im a brisket snob). But the ribs.man.ive been to some of the best ribs joints in the country and these give em a good run! The sides are also pretty good. especially the mac n cheese. The space has you pretty standard cozy mountain restaurant/bar feel. I like it. The service is also very friendly and prompt. Ill be back for sure!
