Tried shipping an item to my husband in Afghanistan from this Mint Hill location but an employee and her manager advised me several times that it wasn’t possible to ship. They instructed me that I had to use the post office due to customs forms that needed to be filled out. I tried explaining to them that I’ve used UPS several times to ship packages to Afghanistan and even showed them emails on my phone as proof. Left the store very disappointed. Ended up having to drive to another location miles away off WT Harris that I’ve used previously and shipped the item with no fuss. Was in/out in 10 mins or less. They filled out the customs form electronically for me plus gave me an email confirmation. Kudos to this location!

I’ve been here quite a few times so far, and it has always been to drop off a pre-paid package. This location is always staffed adequately, and I’m always helped within moments of entering the store. The employees make quick work of the drop-off process and are always friendly.

My sister sent me my mom’s china as a Christmas present. She wrapped everything extremely well, but along the way a box must have been dropped because it was open when I received it and five plates were destroyed. I called the number that the staff at the Mint Hill UPS store had conveniently put on a sticker on the box and they walked me through what they needed to make a claim. They didn’t actually tell me all the photos that UPS needed(UPS corporate wrote me a day later), but they were very close. The staff were very helpful even though I wasn’t a great customer. I’ve had issues with insurance claims in the past, and I was taking this out on them. But less than a week later I had word that my claim was approved! It was very easy and everything worked out well. The damage definitely was not due to anything that the staff at this store did and they tried very hard to help me. They were very patient while I went a little off my rocker(my mom’s china is discontinued, so finding replacement dishes was a challenge).

I’ve used this store several times and the staff here are very friendly and helpful. A lot of times when you hit a fedex or kinkos there is almost a mood of despair hanging over the employees heads as if they would rather to be anywhere except where they are. Not so much at this location. Everyone seems pretty peppy and willing to help you out with getting whatever it is shipped to wherever it is you are sending said package. The only way they could improve their service at this location would be to utilize the computer system to store shipping information. I’ve been to other locations where, as a repeat customer who ships to the same addresses over and over, they are able to pull up where I am sending a package and just point and click my label. Could be a little more convenient here but all in all its a wonderful store to use.

Thus far, I’ve only been once — but I have to admit that the staff here is way friendlier than any other UPS Store or Fedex/Kinko’s that I have ever been to. I have no idea what causes it, but whatever the reason, they sure do seem to enjoy their job, and that means I’ll be back to do my shipping from this location rather than any other. Even better is that it’s the closest to our house. Sweet.
