Unfortunately, there are times that I need to have some medical attention, and I just hate to visit the emergency room (though I’ve done that plenty of times too). When the closest urgent care was closed (near Eastland Mall), they had a sign up to visit this one, which is the next-​closest. Strange thing is, the web site for the urgent care places didn’t list this one. But I was able to find it, so off we went.
The actual facility is nice. It should be, because it’s brand new. The staff is nice, too. Very nice, in fact. Big thumbs up there. Both the reception staff and the doctor were great. The nurse was so-​so. What really stunk was the wait.
Even though it was the middle of the day on a weekday, and there were almost no cars in the lot, and only a single other person in the entire urgent care facility that I could see, it took two hours to get out of the place. That was just insane. What the heck took so long?
The process was fine, and if there was a line, the wait would have been bearable — but two hours when no one else was there? That’s just unbelievable!
