Before set your hopes too high for a classy grocery store in Mint Hill, let me point out that Bloom is spin-off of Food Lion. In fact, the selection(or lack thereof) is similar to Food Lion, as are the prices. Bloom will«do the job», but not very impressively. I’ve visited this Bloom store on several occasions and while the store is immaculately clean(atypical for Food Lions), the produce, deli, and bakery is lacking. They have a number of speciality breads, but overall a limited selection. The produce is decent-just don’t buy the salad mixes. They normally expire a day later. One of the merits of this store is the«pick your own» six-pack of beer. They have an ample selection of domestics and imports that you can mix and match for about $ 8. Another is the meat selection: actually fresh, varied meats for reasonable prices. Bloom’s Breeze Card works like H-T’s VIC card, nothing exclusive but its saves a few $$$. The store has«maps» of different depts. at the front entrance, so it is easily navegable. If you need to pick up a few items or a cartful, Bloom is still a better option than other local grocers.(See my scathing review of the Mint Hill Bi-Lo).
