I am sorry that this lovely place closed before I got to enjoy it. From what local people here and in Bismark said, it was beautifully done and the food was excellent. The pictures look fantastic and I am sad when I see the great potential it had. For what it’s worth, I always wonder why people write mean and petty reviews about odds and ends. It’s very hard to be a great business and it takes alot of hard work and effort. I think it’s better to encourage a good effort than to criticize a tiny imperfection. Who among us is perfect? Come back soon, we need you !

Cute place, great atmosphere, nice waitresses. Way overpriced menu items, food really isn’t great… and the quality is poor… Wouldn’t go back again unless it’s for drinks or for the truffle fries. I haven’t tried the baked goods yet, I plan on it though.

Sweet & Flour has a great atmosphere and great pastries! I have never been disappointed. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the restaurant provides something unique to Minot — a high quality patisserie with an urban coffee shop vibe. Definitely a favorite hangout of mine!
I moved here to Minot for almost 2 ½ months already and I was craving sweets from a bakery instead of buy packaged pastries… I went onto Unilocal to look at the options I had and this place seemed like the best bet. (Yelp gave my husband and I the wrong directions and we drove to a construction site and wondered for a good 10−15mins before we asked a postal worker where this bakery was… This has nothing to do with the score of 3 stars though, I’m just pointing out Unilocal mistake) Anyways we got there and stood at the counter for about 5 minutes before the cashier lady said something(she was actually standing there the entire time with her head down… Maybe she was busy? Still could’ve greeted us or acknowledge us.) we placed our order and paid. It was just for scones and canollies… Then she continued to do what she was doing earlier… My husband and I just stood there waiting for someone to grab the pastries but she didn’t tell us to wait or nothing… So we stood there for another 5 minutes before she started to box up our 5 items… What was so important to her that took her attention from us? I mean how hard is it to say«hi» and then box up the sweets? Minus 1 star. When we got home, we took a bite of the canollies and scones and honestly… They were a little bit of a let down. It was hard and crumbled all over the place. We threw it away… It was a waste of money to just throw it out, but we knew we wouldn’t eat it anymore… Minus another 1 star… I’m not sure if this is how they’re supposed to taste like here in Minot or the mainland but in Hawaii, I could eat these things all day. I can’t compare it to anything else but the pastries I’ve eaten in Hawaii and honestly, they were like salt crackers that you crumble on soup compared to all the sweets that Hawaii has to offer.
