My husband and I are very mixed on our review here. For one, the food is great. We were very suspicious since they featured all different types of Asian cuisine. But we ordered Chinese, Japanese, and Thai and it was all delicious. However, the drinks are overpriced and under poured(we suspect there was no actual alcohol in our drinks). Lastly, the service is okay. Just okay. That all being said, it’s the best Asian food we’ve had in town and we will be going back.

I am really pick with Asian food. That being said I wasn’t totally disappointed with this place. The crab wontons were cooked well but had very little filling. They could have had more filling. The edemame was very good but really how difficult is edemame. I had the Kung Pao. It was very flavorful and all cooked correctly. The veggies were cooked just right but why is there zucchini and asperegus in a Kung pao? The dish was mostly zucchini and asperegus, not enough chicken. I felt like it was expensive for a plate of veggies with a side of chicken. The rice was cooked well.

First time we went it wasn’t very much impressive, but it’s gotten much better. My wife loves the sushi, and I get the Kung pao chicken, it’s just spicy enough to break out a sweat on your forehead, but very flavorful, and not too hot.

Came here for lunch today with the hubby and sat in the booths in the bar area. My husband ordered hibachi even though we opted out of the regular hibachi seating. He got the the chicken and shrimp entrée for hibachi and a wonton soup to start off with. I had the seaweed salad and a spicy tuna roll to start off with then the curry shrimp rice noodles for my entrée. The spicy tuna roll looked strange even though it mentioned it was served with tempura flakes the tuna looked minced in with the flakes. It had a good flavor just not what I’m use to. The seaweed salad was a little on the dry side but I’m sure it came from a box so I don’t really expect too much but the norm for it. The curry rice noodles I had was wayyyyy to salty but did have a lot of shrimp and I mean the big ones and not the cheap tiny imitation kind. My husbands hibachi would have been ok but it was slathered in some kind of brown sauce and he complained that the chicken was just plain sautéed chicken with sauce. I also noticed there were way too many servers on for lunch and not enough customers. This ended up with us being bombarded by several different servers and constant replies of «yes» «no» and«thank you» that I had to constantly reply to every sever as I was trying to eat my entrée. The service was a little too good we couldn’t really have a conversation without being interrupted but I appreciated that they were just trying to do a good job. This place has potential to be busy and profitable given that the menu could use some tweaks as far as seasoning goes. The building looks new and the bar looks pretty cool with the lighting.

Worst Asian food I have ever had. The sushi was mainly just rice and cream cheese. I’m not from ND so I’m used to really good sushi though. .. The coconut shrimp was really awful! It tasted like shrimp coated in sweet and condensed milk. It was really horrible and expensive for what you get. The hibachi would be tolerable if it wasn’t swimming in salty sauce.

The hibachi was okay. NY Steak was excellent, and this place has to have the best fried rice in my opinion. Next, the customer service. Terrible. Our server accidentally charged us for something we didn’t order, and it took him a good 8 minutes to finally agree to fix it. No respect at all I must say, but food was great. I would try Sakura before heading over to ND Asia.

Service is lacking, we order pickup most frequently and it is always a painful process. However, the food is DELICIOUS! It isn’t just Minot, ND good, it is good. Hibachi chefs are friendly, but hostess and waitstaff leave a bad taste in your mouth, hence why we get take out!

This is the worst service we have ever received. First the waitress forgot our salad and we had to remind her to order it. They brought out the chinese food so early I finished my meal before the boys got their sushi. Then she forgot a sushi roll never asked us if we wanted drink refills never gave us straws or chopsticks and then messed up the ticket as well! She did not even seem bothered by the horrible service. Sushi was better at Sakura anyway so pass this place up for sure.

Thought we would try a new place tonight. First off the food was amazing, our cook really outdid himself. There was seven of us dining and he was able to keep us entertained and fed. Our server however, gives this place a really bad name and cost the restaurant seven customers. It’s not hard to make sure your customers have full drinks and receive everything they order. This place has added gratuity which is fine but not when the service sucks so bad we almost got up and left. When we tried to communicate our frustration we were told there was no manager on duty. We talked to the bartender instead who removed the 32 dollar gratuity after suggesting we ask for a different server next time. This place needs to improve its service if it wants to stay in business long. Food is excellent and tasty but service recives a zero.

Came to visit my brother here in North Dakota and he suggested this spot. It was Satisfying and very tasty. The kung pao shrimp was flavorful and had the perfect amount of spice and even though I’m not a big fan of sushi, it still tasted very fresh. Service was prompt and friendly. I would recommend this place! :)

I have no idea where these people writing great reviews are coming from? Their sushi is horrific. Maybe they haven’t had amazing coastal sushi — but the sushi here is like the sushi you will get prepackaged at a supermarket… to be more precise the one from the supermarket most likely tastes better. Their miso was watered down. Me and my girls HATED it. Never again… boooooo 15000000 thumbs down.

Best hibachi and Chinese food in Minot. Atmosphere is clean and nice. We have been multiple times and we will be back. The crab rangoons are delicious and the hibachi has good options and serves plenty of food.

I’ve had their California rolls twice and they are delicious! But DONOT order food to-go here. I will say this first: I am so disappointed with the lack of customer service and respect this restaurant has I truly never want to spend money there supporting it. This is why:(coming from a disappointed me) Each time I’ve called the guy who answers has the worst customer service. Last time I went to pick up my order, which he got wrong, he told me it was my fault, that I told him I ordered something else. What?. I’ve worked in high end restaurants so I understand the«customer is always right» and he stood there telling me I was wrong and wouldn’t change my order for five minutes until another server came and finally said he would fix it when I told him«never mind I’ll just go somewhere else». No «sorry» or apologies whatsoever. Just disrespect. Tonight, my husband and I gave them another shot. The same guy answered the phone — I asked to place an order for pick up — he said«uhhhhh. … I can’t now, wait.» He kept the phone off the hook and we held for a while before hanging up to call back and hopefully get someone else on the line. Well guess what, the phone was left off the hook by their terrible customer service guy so the phone gave a busy signal until eventually we heard«the number you have dialed is not available.»

I really wanted to like this place. But alas… no dice. Why? In short, horrible customer service. We have tried ordering to-go several times, and our order has never been accurate. Also, one time, when they got my wife’s order wrong, they repeatedly, rudely told her that it was her fault, that she ordered the wrong thing. Like literally a different menu item entirely, not just a substitution. It took her fifteen minutes and a chat with several employees to convince them to re-do her order, correctly this time. Really? Some people like this place, so maybe we’ve just had bad experiences. The second star is because the food wasn’t horrible, when they finally got it right. But really, don’t waste your time here. It’s a new place — hopefully they can work out the kinks.

Worst Asian food ever. The sushi was flavorless and stunk of old rotten fish. I’m not even sure it was safe to eat what we did. The general tso’s was hard fried bits of chicken in a disgusting canned overly sweet sauce that lacked any depth of flavor. This mess of chicken and sauce was just dumped on a plate with two tiny bits of still frozen broccoli on the side of the plate that weren’t even heated up as the only vegetable component. That was the first visit. We stupidly went back thinking maybe it was just an off night; but the food was just as horrible again. This is just poorly cooked garbage dripping with canned sauces. The only people who would call this Asian food couldn’t possibly have ever eaten anywhere that serves Asian food. The mall outlets serve better Asian food than this sitting in their steamer tables. And by better I mean ND Asia makes the mall food look like 5 star fine dining. And the staff are just completely not interested. Our waitress acted like we were bothering her just to be seated and she only came to the table to take our order and drop off the food. Never once asked if everything was ok(it wasn’t) never asked us if we wanted drinks(we ended up having to call someone else over just to even get water). Terrible experience, terrible staff, terrible food. Note: we only tried a variety of things off the staple Asian menu. The habachi menu was way over priced and we weren’t going to throw good money away after getting terrible food from the regular menu both visits. This place is essentially a bar and the only people enjoying the food are too drunk to know any better.

Solid Hibachi service. We came in at 9pm on a Thursday night and they kindly served us at the hibachi table even though we were the only ones. Clear soup and small salad as appetizer. The salad dressing was a bit on the ranch side compared to the normal ginger dressing. You get lo mein noodles along with the fried rice. Shrimp, scallops and steak were all kindly cooked up by our chef, Ian. The décor is very fresh. The building seems newly built. Neon lighting accents add a nightclub ambience. The table tops glow different colors. My husband declared that the bathrooms were the nicest he has seen anywhere!

This place was amazing! It was a little slow getting in even though there was several free tables, but the service and food was amazing! Probably the best place I’ve eaten at in Minot! I recommend this to anyone! Will definitely be eating here again.

Really great atmosphere, alright hibachi, not so great sushi, really great Chinese. Their Chinese food is super yummy! The sesame chicken and chicken with broccoli is super great. They service is really good but I’m assuming because it’s new. The first time we went they forgot our order and we were waiting for a little over an hour and the place wasn’t busy at all, but they gave us a free dessert to compensate for the wait. I wasn’t impressed by their sushi, definitely on the bottom of my list for sushi in this town. The prices are a little high but their competing with Sakuras(which I prefer for Japanese food and hibachi). Whenever I go the hibachi section is usually always empty. I definitely don’t like the hibachi here, Sakuras set the bar for hibachi in this town. Unfortunately the service and quality of this restaurant has gone down now that they are re-staffing this place.

Minot finally has a restaurant that isn’t just good considering it’s in Minot. N.D. Asia is just plain great. In any city, with any competition, this restaurant would be packed. Great service, amazing food, good atmosphere. Try the Japanese Udon Noodles, best I’ve ever had. Also, don’t be afraid to sit at the sushi bar. It’s a lot of fun to watch all the sushi & sashimi orders that they make.
