Pretty good food. Not much to say about it, it is relatively average among the buffets… Really good fried wontons, though! The service wasn’t bad. Overall, it was pretty decent.

My husband and I ate there yesterday my husband ended up having food poisoning all night and it made me sick right away but not as bad as him. The food there wasn’t horrible tasting but we will never go back. The sushi was cold and not fresh I think the only thing I went back for seconds was the sugar bread(Chinese doughnut) and sweet and sour chicken and white rice. Their fried rice was super cold and didn’t taste like anything.

Maby it was because of how late it was when I walked into this place but my experience was overall not good. My first impression of this place was that it can’t be any worse than China star– another restaurant in town that I hear from multiple sources tends to make people sick. So I thought well this place can’t be any worse. I luckily lives up to that expectation. I still wouldn’t recommend this place though. I came in at 8 o’clock at night and the food was either all put away or mostly empty or cold. Apparently they like to advertise that they are open till 10 pm but they stop bringing out food sometime around 8 which is when I unfortunately walked in. That was my biggest problem with this place right off the bat– don’t advertise your hours of your place if in reality you are really closing sooner than that listed time. My other issues was that the food was cold, the sushi selection was sad– only two plates were out with only five or so rolls were present on both plates combined, and the buffet was overall small compared to the numerous buffets I’ve visited– most of the dishes were missing and most were cold! The actual hibachi grill was closed too! The dessert table! Mostly gone– the fruit was turning colors, and most of the pastries and other sweets were gone– nothing but empty trays. The waitress was not attentive– we never got a refill on our drinks and she never came to take the pile of dishes we had. I walked in at the wrong time– the part of the day were the staff stops caring. Why did I pay 12 bucks for such service and food? Why should you?

This is our go to buffet place. If you like crab and shrimp then you can’t beat what you get for the price. They also have a sushi selection and made to order hibachi table included in the all you can eat price. It’s about $ 8 for lunch and $ 11 for dinner, best buffet in town!

The selection is great, but I would recommend they focus on less variety and food cooked just right. Some of it is overcooked and under seasoned. The tandoori chicken is great as is the broccoli in each dish it is served. The sushi maker is friendly and dedicated to making great food with what he is given. The grill in the back is attended by a guy with a great smile and attitude.

This is a pretty good Chinese buffet that also has a hibachi. The good is pretty good for North Dakota standards, though it does stand some improvement. The staff are friendly though. I’ve eaten here more than once and will continue to come back for my Chinese food fix.

Let me tell you about my experience with Hibachi Grill tonight. I placed my order at 6pm. At 7pm, I received a call from a man at an entirely different address, saying he had received my order from hibachi. He hadn’t ordered anything, but had assumed his daughter did, so he accepted the food. When he discovered our name and phone number on the order, he called us to let us know about the mistake. We immediately called Hibachi back, and were told they would fix the problem. At 7:30, a full 90 minutes after we placed our original order, we called Hibachi again, and were told that the driver was on his way to pick up the old food that got delivered to the wrong place, and bring it to us. Food that was, at this point, obviously cold, and who knows what could have happened to it. We told Hibachi that was not acceptable, and we needed new food delivered. They said it would be an additional 45 minute wait. We at first said to cancel the order because we had been waiting for nearly 2 hours for our food. We did receive a phone call from the driver at about 745, and he apologized for the mistake. A few minutes after that, the gentleman from the wrong address called us back to let us know that hibachi had come to pick up the old food and was planning on taking it back to us. He told us he had placed blue painters tape on the bottom of the containers so we would know if the food was just reheated. At this point, I called Hibachi back and asked to speak to the manager, and explained everything that had happened. The manager said he would have the food remade and would send it out to us, that it would take about a half hour, and we would receive a 50% discount. 45 minutes later, at 845, the food finally arrived. The delivery driver thought I was paying cash, when I had initially placed the order with my debut card, so he pushed past me into my house to call the store so they could get the credit card info. He then had the nerve to complain that I did not give him a tip! I told him that we had waited 2 hours and 45 minutes for our food, and there was no way I was going to give him a tip for delivering the food to the wrong address. He finally left. Upon opening the bag and inspecting the food, guess what we found on the bottom of the containers? Yep, blue painters tape. So I called hibachi back again, and told them it was unacceptable, that they had lost a customer, and I would be telling all of my friends about this incident. The manager at hibachi tried to tell me that the food was fresh, they just reused the container. To clarify, I asked him if he meant that they reuse old disposable containers, and he said yes. But it’s ok, because they clean them first. I told him if that was the case, I STILL would not be ordering from them. I told him that I did not appreciate being lied to, and that I would be spreading the word about their horrible customer service. Even worse than their customer service, though, is their unsafe food practices. How long until someone gets sick?

Honestly, this place would be like a two star back home. Honestly, I wouldn’t eat here to get real asian food. But this is North Dakota… so… three stars. It’s just subpar, cheap, fake, asian food buffet.

What a surprise, a very good buffet in North Dakota. I don’t know where they get their shrimp but their salt pepper shrimp are to die for, especially if you bite that jalapeño before chewing on that shrimp. Delicious. The restaurant itself is pretty small but that doesn’t cut into the selection. And check this out, the hibachi is nice and warm just waiting for that grub. And they sell beer.

Good buffet. Not the best, but especially good for Minot. If you go right at lunch and not too late at dinner it’s all fresh and fully stocked. They have a Hibachi guy there as well. Friendliest staff in town! Seriously, super nice. I posted pics, check them out.

My friend and I came here last Sunday since we’ve drove past this place a few times and I was curious trying the food here. My friend did not like the place other than the grill where the cook the food in front of you because when he went here last the food was out for a while and didn’t taste very good. Note: This is like any buffet place where you can get unlucky and come at a time where the food isn’t fresh. Might be better to go during busy hours or when they first open for lunch or dinner if you want fresher tasting food. The place really reminded me of a typical cheap Asian buffet that you’d see in a bigger city. They have about 5 stations with hot plates out with the large varieties of food. Overall, the food was pretty good considering that there was a large variety of food and I never expected to find decent chinese food in this town. I mainly like this place for the Hibachi grill where you can choose your own meat, vegetables, and sauce and they cook the food right in front of you. My noodles, meat, and veggies came out well. Their soy sauce at that station isn’t really soy sauce but some watered down version of soy sauce and vinegar. My friend and I liked my combination better than their recommended ones: 1 spoon soy sauce, 1 spoon teriyaki(or house sauce, I forgot what they called it), 1 scoop spice, 1 scoop fresh garlic, and 1 scoop of the other garlic sauce. If I knew the soy sauce was watered down, then I would’ve added a little bit of soy sauce from the table. Other than that the food was generally like any cheap Asian buffet or it was a little bit sweet or lacking flavor. Other food that was notable was: — Crab rangoon: It was crispy and tasty. — Mayo Shrimp: This is like the honey walnut prawns you’d see elsewhere, but no walnuts and shrimps instead of prawns. My friend and his buddies love this. — Hot and sour soup: It was actually hot and sour, but the soup lacks the flavor of the broth. The mushrooms, egg, and tofu were good. — Fried dough: My friend liked this one a lot. Fried and sugary… what else is there not to love? — Crawdads: They are previously frozen, but I’m happy that they even had this! — Ice cream: Large tubs of ice cream of the following flavors: vanilla, strawberry, chocolate, cookies ‘n’ cream, and mint chocolate chip(I might be forgetting a flavor offered) Things I would not try again: — Potstickers/Eggrolls: They just tasted«interesting». I can’t put my finger on it, but I preferred the ones that my friend bought at the local Walmart better. — Sushi: Tons of rice and it was mainly variations of california rolls. I think the only one I was curious in was the spicy rolls, but in the end I just didn’t care for the flavor of the rolls. This time my friend liked the food here(he said that it tasted a lot more fresh than the last time he was here). Overall, the service was good, there was a large variety of food, I didn’t get sick, and the food tasted okay/good. So far, I haven’t found a place with better Asian food in Minot(this is mainly due to the Hibachi grill), but I don’t mind exploring more places around town. Note: The rating for this place is based on the food offered in the area.
