The creamery is a wonderful family oriented establishment. Their ice cream is the best as well as their other novelties. Prices are affordable and service is good. When the weather is hot, there’s no better place in the minooka/channahon area to go to cool down. My family loves to go there as soon as they open in February and continue to frequent them until they close for the season in October. Highly recommended!

The selection is pretty dang good, the only grip I have is the parking lot, but I did go on a 80 degree day… I got your traditional cone, but next time I will definitely be trying out their tornadoes! Those look good and I’m a sucker for icecream + candy mixes.

A lot of variety. Not the least expensive for ice cream, but not outrageous either. Seating is in a parking lot… so atmosphere not great… but ice cream was decent.

I used to go here when it was the only place in town, but the prices have gone up and the serving sizes have gone way down. Last time my «single scoop» ice cream didn’t even cover the top of the cone it was so small. I ended up feeling totally ripped off and do not plan on going back.

Friends and I came for some dessert ice cream. We shared the chocolate mint, piña colada and mocha. We all like the piña colada the most, the rest are OK.

«Cheese Cake On A Stick» no need to say more!!! On a side note: Unilocal said that my review was to short. So much for trying to leave a short and sweet review, lol. Everything here is good. SERIOUSLY… You have to have the cheese cake on a stick! It will change you forever.

Love this place! Great quality ice cream and for decent prices! It can get really busy and the wait maybe longer than you would like, but in the end it’s worth the wait!

If Minooka was a travel destination, the Minooka Creamery would be the star attraction. Born and raised in Minooka, the Minooka Creamery is legendary. The menu of ice cream based items is in itself overwhelming, but they also have a pretty decent«fast food» menu. As a kid I always got the hand dipped vanilla ice cream in strawberry or chocolate, I still see people ordering it. I stick to the flavor of the day for the frozen yogurt, attempting to be healthy. Sometimes you just have to splurge and go with the Oreo Tornado.(Tornado, think Dairy Queen Blizzard) You can’t live in or visit Minooka without getting a cold treat from the Minooka Creamery.

I’m not a huge ice cream fan, but this is «as good as it gets» for me! This place is not to be confused with the chain of places called«creamery» or whatever they’re called. This is 10x better, and everything from the ice cream to the whipped cream is real, and tastes great. The prices are very reasonable, and they will custom make anything! It’s not just ice cream. They have a full menu with lunch items too. The tornados are really good. Whatever candy you order it with, it’s loaded in every bite!

Best place in Minooka for ice cream, love their different varieties and special tornadoes, they can get pretty crowded at times but their staff is really on top of their game and really whip out the orders, I like the capt crunch and cinnamon toast crunch tornadoes, and pretty much everything else

While the place is a little run down, or what I like to call«charming and unique»…it is our family favorite. And… they make the best chocolate soda’s I can find. They also make things just the way we want them. The pricing is good and we love sitting at the picnic tables enjoying our ice cream and other folks that are there for the same reason we are!

Quaint little ice cream place with good service, great ice cream, and excellent prices! Definitely going back to try one of the multitude of sundae options they have :) My husband got a simple soft serve vanilla in a cone and I got the strawberry and chocolate soft serve in a cone. A good way to rate a place, if the base is crap nothing else will be good, and we were NOT disappointed. Excellent stuff! We stopped there just before closing on a weeknight. Service was pretty good considering it was staffed by what appeared to be a bunch of punk kids, LOL. No complaints all around. Do give the little local place a try, rather than hitting the chain down the street. For the record, I live in the city and go to a LOT of different ice cream places. Even when compared to schmancy places, this is good stuff!

It’s really 2.5 stars but, the«Meh. I’ve experienced better» template really summed it up nicely. A little ice cream stand that’s in front of Minooka’s finest and across the street from the high school. Couldn’t decide which sundae to get so I got a small dough boy(cookie dough, hot fudge, and cookie) and milky way out(caramel and milky way pieces) all for $ 5.95. The dough boy was the favorite of the two. The milky way pieces on the other one were rock hard and hard to chew. Barely got any service. Was hardly acknowledged at the service window. Sort of got the impression that they were understaffed with only 2 high-school aged employees around 3:00 on a hot sunny day, which was kinda weird since this place is always crowded. There’s something about this place that seems boring and outdated. Just can’t put my finger on it. At least they accept credit cards on purchases over $ 5.
