La Quinta Inn & Suites Minneapolis-Minnetonka

For my first time in Minnesota traveling for work this was a perfect place to stay. I was there for 4 nights and rarely write reviews, but felt I should because the service was so good here! The staff was friendly which could be because everyone from MN is, but it was very refreshing. The room was clean, spacious and modern — no complaints. They had a free breakfast buffet in the am which was actually really good and I looked forward to it. They also had a shuttle service to close by areas you needed to go to even if it was to go out to eat downtown. They gave free bottled water at the desk and probably would of given anything you ask for it was that accommodating.

My three day stay was very pleasant, comfortable and the breakfast was tasty. They needed a double bed room which i was offered an update grade room that included a king size bed, microwave and fridge. I will most definitely stay at this La Quinta again.

I worked 9 hours and my room was not cleaned. My bed not made. My bathroom not cleaned. No one came in this room. I called the front desk. I waited over a half an hour for someone to clean the the bathroom. They also charged the room to my debit account which was just for incidentals rather then my business account.

Pros: Very friendly employees, request for first floor room granted, pets allowed at no additional charge. Large, grassy pet area right outside.
Cons: The hotel is old (but renovated) but still smells musty.
Bottom line: A great spot outside the city to stay with your pets before heading back out of town.

Between homes my husband and I stayed at La Quinta for 2 weeks. Along with our 2 dogs who loved the designated dog area and great walking neighborhood behind the hotel. The suite was spacious and quiet, the service excellent and the nice breakfast buffet a great way to start the day.
The hotel is close to restaurants, Trader Joe’s and just a few miles to downtown and Wayzata.

Labor Day weekend found us looking for a hotel. After calling several different locations in a 40 mile area, this was the best rated hotel that doesn’t break the bank, costing $ 30-​$ 50 less then other area hotels.
The hotel building is 30 years old, but it was upgraded in January 2014. All the carpeting and a room accommodations are very nice and comfortable. The breakfast buffet, as others have stated, is a little above average with a good selection.
The few interactions that I have with the hotel staff were pleasant. My only reason for not giving a five star rating is that I did not find anything exceptional about the hotel. Still, I highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the neighborhood.

Pleasantly surprised w this hotel. Our family and dog stayed for 2 nights while on vacation.
Other than the scrambled eggs that were a bit watery — everything was great.
The rooms were nice and clean. It was quiet during our stay.
I do wish they had a pool, however there were other amenities that made up for it.
Free wifi!!!

Beautiful lobby, makes a great first impression.
And our room, clean and well decorated.
Comfortable beds BUT they are only full size.
And with 4 adults, plenty of hot water!
Breakfast, free and amazing selection.
Will be back!

I am in town for a ten day stay. First night I was about to use there vending machine for a snack. The front desk guy asked what I wanted, I said a chocolate snack. He came back with a snickers bar on the house. I bought a box of low cal brownie snacks the next night. A few days later I came back from working all day and there was another box of that same brownie snack on my desk with a note saying enjoy. That’s five star service.
I’ve only seen this type of service at five star properties (St. Regis, Montage, Four Seasons). In addition the place is in great clean condition. The rooms are spacious and decorated pretty modern and cozy.
There is free breakfast in the morning. There is coffee and tea available in the lobby all day. For a La Quinta this place is outstanding and far exceeded my expectations. Keep up the good work.
