Sad to hear this is changing to a Leann Chin. I used to love coming here for pot stickers and BBQ chicken spring rolls, these were consistently tasty and fresh. If anyone knows of a equally good place for pot stickers and spring rolls(not shrimp) let me know.

Chins was converted to Leeann Chins. I really don’t like Leeann Chins. The food is just not good. Chins Asia Fresh was great. I loved it… Why in the world did they change?

Sadly, being converted to a LeeAnn Chins. I liked Chins Asia Fresh so much better. Was going to eat there today, but they are under renovations… I’ll miss it… :(

We ordered almost 30 minutes ago and are still waiting for our dinner. And we thought getting here at 6:07 would be plenty of time before a 7:00 movie. Totally disappointed and still starving.

‘Chinese’ fast food can hit the spot sometimes, so I didn’t hate it. Pricey, oversized entrees. One entrée can feed two adults. Each of us finished ½ of our meal. Thus, brought home a full sized meal as leftovers. Bleh. Give me fresh food I can eat at once & drop your price.

Not authentic Asian cuisine but good for a quick, easy lunch. They cater to health-conscious customers and don’t get irritated by special requests to health-ify your food. For instance, if you order the stir fry, you can request the cooking is done in chicken brother rather than oil(tastes exactly the same), or ask for your sauce on the side. Stir fries and noodle dishes are made to order, with a variety of proteins and flavorful sauces to douse your dish in(some of which are too sweet). They also have dumplings, eggrolls, spring rolls, etc. I was happy with my shrimp stir fry. I especially loved the array of fresh and colorful veggies. I have been tempted by their frozen yogurt but haven’t heard rave reviews.

I recently went here with one of my couch jumping buddies from Tonka. When I used to live in the apartments behind Dicks Sporting Goods, this was a Leann Chin. And being that I dont really care for most Leann Chin’s, When it changed to Chin’s Asia Fresh, I took the same Biased opinion and decided against it. But then my buddy Joe brought me here and I ordered off recomendation food. Sadly it was only a kids meal, The Steak Samurai Plate with peanut sauce. My god was it amazing. Cooked up right in front of me, I was pretty amazed with what they had done to turn this restaurant around. The portion of even it just being a kids meal, filled me up anyhow. The peanut sauce has been my favorite sauce ever since, and I do get excited to come to this area just for chins. Throw some siracha on that samurai plate? Double amazing. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to eat chinese or asian food, but is sick of the typical buffet taste. Oh and the prices? Are very inexpensive. Its a 3 in one win here. Check it out and prove me wrong.

This is LeeAnn Chin with a bigger menu and made fresh for you. So, it is better than fast food LeeAnn Chin, but it is basically still fast food. I really like the Firecracker Shrimp. And I like the ten ingredient fried rice. But everything else I have had there just makes me think I am paying more for LeeAnn Chin food. We ordered lettuce wraps, and the chunk of lettuce we got was the middle part of the head. Therefore, there was no way to get a piece of lettuce big enough to make a wrap. And it was really difficult to get any of it separated. The sauces for the lettuce wraps were ok. We will probably be back, but only if we are already going to Trader Joe’s, cause it is right there. Won’t go out of my way to go there.

Just went to Chin’s for the first time. Ordering a bowl of soup to go. Ordered Egg Drop Soup, receipt shows Egg Drop Soup. Got back to work and had received Hot n Sour Soup. More than a little disappointed. I am not a fan of Hot n Sour Soup so unfortunately, no lunch for me.

Meh… It’s just okay. I ordered the egg drop soup and found it to be way too salty. Also had the shrimp summer roll. They are quite generous with the shrimp. The dipping sauces are good. But I wish they would wrap the roll just a bit tighter, because the contents start to spill out after a few bites. Not a very authentic place, but it’s quick and conveniently located.

After driving past this place almost every day for weeks, my husband and I finally decided to stop in and try it. After eating here, I really wish we would have just kept driving. I can honestly say that this is the worst place I have eaten at in Minneapolis. The high school chicks running the cash register were extremely snobby and rude. My husband has a mushroom allergy, so he obviously has to be very cautious about what he orders. When he asked our cashier if the dish he wanted had mushrooms in it, she admitted she didn’t know, but did not offer to find out for us even after we told her about his allergy. When we asked her to please check, she sighed and rolled her eyes at us, but did eventually check. We were assured they would take the correct precautions to keep my husband’s food from being cross-contaminated. About three bites into his meal, my husband started having an allergic reaction. Underneath all the meat at the top of his bowl, we found at least three mushrooms mixed in with his rice. I immediately asked to speak with a manager to make them aware of the situation before we left. The cashier told me that the manager was unavailable at the moment, but that I could call and talk to someone the next day.(I did call the next day and the person on the phone refused to let me speak with a manager.) In my hurry to get my husband the medical attention he required after eating here, I did not get to try my food until we got home. I was disappointed to find that my lemon chicken contained absolutely no vegetables and was simply dry brown rice, and chunks of chicken covered in tasteless goo… not what I think of when I think lemon chicken! The horrible customer service we received, my husband’s experience with anaphylactic shock and the disgusting food are more than enough to keep me from ever coming back here again. Actually, it’s a shame that I have to give this place any stars at all in order to rate it.

If you looking for made to order chinese/stir fry this is a good option. I prefer it to LeAnn Chin and the extra cost is well worth it.

Great food at reasonable prices. The food here is just a level higher than Leean Chin and made to order. Very good stuff, great service, very friendly wait staff!

Chin’s is a nice Asian place. I’ve gone to the Minnetonka location about 12 times in the last six months. The staff are nice and are customer friendly. I even received a free entrée because my food took longer than usual to prepare one time. I typically get the Sesame Chicken w/Brown Rice and I love it. I know a few others that go to this place and enjoy other dishes that I don’t consume. I’d recommend this place if you are into the«fast food» Asian type of place.

Atmosphere was nice and the food came out quickly, but the meat on my Asian chicken salad looked really gross and I had to spit out a piece of the chicken into my napkin because it had gristle in it. Since they only gave us one napkin each, I had to ask for another one. After that, I inspected the other pieces of chicken and saw another piece with fat and gristle on it. I ate some of the lettuce but kind of lost my appetite. I probably should have said something to the manager but I just wasn’t in the mood.

I don’t think I’ll go back here. I’ve tried it a few times, and have never been very happy about it. Nothing I’ve had is particularly bad… just not particularly good. The Sweet & Sour chicken for example. It’s a good amount of chicked, and they bread the whole flattened breast then slice it, which I don’t mind but the sauce is nothing. Not enough of it, and not enought flavor in it to make up for the fact by any stretch. The only other ingredient besides the rice(average) was 2 carrot shavings, which I’m guessing were more of a garnish than anything. Including a couple noodle dishes, roll, and wontons from here, I haven’t found anything I can’t find better(and probably cheaper) at other places in the area. Oh well.

Very similar in concept to the P.F. Chang’s-owned Pei Pei or an Asian style of Noodles & Co., this fast casual restaurant is a solid choice for those seeing some godo asian food, made hot, fresh, and at a reasonable price within a slightly upscale fast-casual décor. While some of the ameneties are a bit«do it yourself», the cost savings is worth it, and the quality of food, along with the selection is very good.

A very modern and stylish restaurant. Fast, friendly and very professional service. Very fresh and delicious food. Given the other review, which focused on how«Asian» the restaurant was, I am reviewing how the restaurant performed as a restaurant. I am not an Asian food expert, but I am an experienced diner and this is certainly an excellent restaurant with delicious food.

All week long I’ve been eating chicken and vegetables in creamy sauce with either pasta or rice. Time for a change. I wanted something Asian. So my coworker and I decided on Chins today for lunch. Chins is nothing close to an authentic Chinese food. It lacks traditional flavor. The rice was definitely not brown to me. It felt like soy sauce was slightly drizzled on top of white rice. Ew? I mistakenly ordered shrimp spring rolls too. They totally used the wrong kind of wrap. This place is like the long lost cousin of Leann Chin. They have Red Cherry frozen yogurt integrated in this fast food restaurant too. Call me crazy but I’ve had a much better experience with PF Changs. Actually, to be honest, I like PF Changs.
