I have been here many times. One of the best places that combines good brunch and awesome pastries. Service is really good and there is ample parking, wi-fi and a good vibe. Biggest plus: you get to pay upfront, so you can just leave after your meal. No waiting.

I was frustrated eating at Yum today. The tuna salad was bland, just lettuce, tuna salad and small chunk of bread. The clean glass I was given for ice tea looked hardly cleaned. We tried to find a place where we could talk because the main room was loud. The back room was quiet but freezing cold. So we sat out on the patio where it was quit but as soon as we arrived the canned music went on and the music interfered with our conversation. We tried to ask the assistant manager to turn down or turn off the music. However, we were told, «we can’t touch the music because that’s what the owner wants» Well, the owner can have what they want — we are going somewhere else next time.

This place is just fabulous. I love the setup and the variety on the menu. I always have a hard time deciding what to order because everything looks so good! Most recently, I had the southwest panini and it was epic. All of the flavors worked well together. And it was huge enough to make for lunch the next day too! Nut goodly bar = heaven. It’s so rich you can easily share it with 4 other people, or just horde it for yourself in the fridge. I live so close to here, it tempts me often and I doubt it will be long before I return!

This is one of the places I most often frequent in Minneapolis. I love their chicken club sandwich — perfect mix of ingredients and something I don’t feel super guilty about eating. Don’t leave without a slice of their Patticake. It’s very rich so you probably won’t finish it all but it is so so good. I tend to call in and place orders to go but they also have a nice patio area of you have time to eat in. I’ve also tried the pizza and their turkey focaccia but didn’t like those as much.

Had their blueberry salad, a southwestern chicken sandwich, and a muddy mousse cupcake with their lemonade. All were fantastic! Seemed like big portions to me but very delicious– just plan on getting a to go box!

Order: Tuna Sandwich Lemonade Great Sandwich, just missing eggs. Well executed! They would get the extra star if they would have added the egg(personal preference). The waiting staff was awesome, the original messed up my order, but swiftly fixed it at no charge! I will be back! I want to try the deserts.

I’ve been here for dinner and have loved the food and drinks. I was so disappointed coming here for breakfast. The food was so bad we threw it away, the americano and latte we got were also thrown away. $ 22 and we didn’t partake of hardly any. On top of this, we ordered all to go, we had no utensils or napkins given with our food. I will not be coming back.

This place is a MUSTVISIT if you’re in Minneapolis. The cashier had a little trouble understanding our Southern accents but it wasn’t too terrible afterwards. :) Seemed like everyone was ordering the lobster roll so we decided to go with it as well. Surprisingly, this place definitely lives up to its name. The bread was perfectly toasted, had a generous amount of avocado and lobster meat. We finished our meal with a freshly baked peach tart, which was also amazing. I really recommend this place to everyone that travels to Minneapolis. Can’t wait to go back. :)

Had the Kentucky spicy chicken sandwich that was incredible. Everything on the menu seems to always be great. Awesome casual spot.

LOVE this place. I have never, EVER had a bad experience at Yum! The food gets five stars for their above-average menu. Definitely run by someone who knows a thing or two about food… Yum! is definitely NOT a fast-food experience. I’ve tried the salads, hot sandwiches and the apps but their Mac and Cheese is A-MAZING. Yum’s claim to fame is their bakery. The«Yum Cupcake» is incredible with a cream filling reminiscent of the old hostess cupcake cream filling… only better! If you find yourself in charge of bringing the cake to your next party, the«Patty Cake» is multiple layers of chocolate & buttercream heaven! Killer coffee. An open, sunny dining experience. Plenty of space to sit, open, fresh and fun. Summertime tables for the Al Fresco experience, too! LOVE Yum and can’t wait to go back.

Food is good. Nothing overly amazing it consistent and good enough. Service is pretty good and they have an eclectic menu. Really enjoyed the fish tacos and the fries. Better than most places to be honest. Cute little bakery/café, however the chai latte I had was slightly below average. Better than panera.

Talk about truth in advertising. Yum’s the word. I had the open faced tuna melt. It comes on a nice, thick English muffin, and I love muenster cheese. The tuna is solid as well. I am a clam chowder expert, being raised in the Northeast. I’m also a fiend and have had many excellent ones in the TC. It’s served in a huge cup, the veggies are thinly diced which bring out the flavor. The problem is the clam potato ratio. Clams are damn near molecular in size, and they took the cheap way out and load it with potatoes. But the flavor is there. One of the best iced teas I ever had served in a most attractive glass. Where the yum factor really comes in is the desserts. I dare you to resist a cupcake. They have a spongy consistency. They’re huge, soft, and delicious. Especially that orange frosting, omg. I loved both the chocolate and vanilla, and kidded myself into saving one for the next day. They have a lot of staff on hand and are all helpful and friendly. The bathroom meets my approval as well. Funny how it’s more of a straight shot getting back to St. Paul. A destination burb isn’t the word.

My husband and I live down the road so we come pretty frequently for dessert to take home. Unfortunately, the cupcakes are hit or miss. They have their standard vanilla/vanilla, vanilla/chocolate and cream filled chocolate. We like those but they can be a bit boring so we like to try the special flavors. The best was a Snow Angel cupcake we had last winter; an angel food-like cupcake with a whipped cream frosting. Fabulous! We’ve also had some truly terrible ones, like a strawberry cupcake that was inedible. Despite the bad ones, we’ve kept going because the quality is usually good and it’s close. Tonight I had the worst cupcake ever, not just from Yum, but literally the worst in my life… banana butterscotch. It sounds amazing but it was disappointing on every level. The«cupcake» was a dense banana muffin with an overwhelming flavor of cinnamon. It had what I presume to be a butterscotch pastry cream inside that was unpleasantly thick and flavorless. The only redeeming quality was the whipped cream frosting. I’m so disappointed — that cupcake was not fit to be sold. My advice is to stick with the regular flavors. I’ve eaten food here many times and it and the service are also hit or miss. Yum is the kind of place I want to love because of the diverse selection of food and bakery items and cool ambiance, but the execution is poor. Inconsistency. You never know what you’ll get.

A work lunch suggestions brought me across town to Yum! The interior and décor is posh and clean. We got there at lunch time and it was pretty busy – long lines and not many open seats, by by the time we placed our order, there was an open table! I ordered the small side of macaroni and cheese and the mini cheeseburgers and it was perfect! Food was delicious and only took about 7 minutes to get to us, which was pretty impressive given how busy it was! I grabbed a delicious-looking vanilla cupcake on my way out and I can’t wait to try it!

I was surprised by how big this place is and how much variety they offer! For some reason I thought they were a cupcake shop only, instead they offer a large menu that includes salad, sandwiches, pasta and main courses. Plus desserts and cupcakes. And they serve alcohol too if I remember correctly. I had a fresh tuna sandwich and it was ok. Pretty much over cooked even if I asked for medium, but the toppings were ok. I also shared fries with a friend and those were awesome. Good spot for a salad or a healthier lunch, but not particularly memorable or remarkable.

Yum is a fantastic place for any meal! The breakfast is always on point, the challah French toast is so good! The salads are always delicious. But the steak sandwich is by far my favorite on the menu! The steak in unbelievably tender and the focaccia is wonderful. And you can’t ever go wrong with one of their baked goods, especially the cupcakes!

This is an excellent place to have fantastic bakery, entrees, sandwiches, pizza, soup and salad bar. Great selection of wines, too. It never feels cramped or rushed, tables are placed for conversation. Love the lighting! Great Staff!

I love places with a lot of natural lighting, so this place was a hit for me. The ambiance is more café style than coffee shop, and I love the nice open spaces. While this time I didn’t try any of the pastries, I won’t be skipping out on those next time. Everything looked delicious. Slightly on the higher price range for a café, but everything seems very fresh so it’s worth it. I had the grilled chicken club(came with potato chips that I think were homemade… Yum!), which was deliciously filling. The other dishes that we had were macaroni and cheese, which, while I normally like to be a bit more adventurous than that, was quite satisfying, so if you’re in the mood for some good comfort food, don’t be shy in getting the Mac and cheese. The salad sampler(chicken salad, tuna and egg salad) wasn’t your bland side dish… everything had great flavor that left you satisfied but wanting more because it was just that good. Service was great… staff was very friendly despite being so busy and the food came quickly. Can’t wait to go back.

Pros: 1. The bakery is wonderful, especially their cupcakes. They are huge, moist, and many have filling in them. The ones with a raspberry on top are amazing. 2. An open, airy, inviting, and modern dining area makes this a great place to go and dine in. Perfect for conversations. 3. The lunch menu has a lot of variety to cater to the carnivore or vegetarian in the crowd. I have not tried the entrees/dinner menu. 4. Patio is also great in the summer if you can find a seat. Cons: 1. If driving there, parking can be tricky at times. 2. Finding a seat can also be difficult when busy for larger groups. Related, I’m not a fan of the new white plastic chairs. They smell very strongly of oil and are not enjoyable given the freshness of the food.

I love the atmosphere! Bright and airy, with a hip modern vibe. My favorite cupcake by far is the chocolate raspberry. Holy hannah those babies are delicious. Second best is the yum cupcake — a chocolate cupcake with ganache topping and filling. How much do I love these donuts? Enough that my now husband stuck a rose and a ring on top of one before getting down on one knee(spoiler: I said yes). Seriously fellas, these cupcakes are good enough that they’ll get ya married. How’s that for a slogan? After numerous visits here, I’ve decided that the Yum Veggie sandwich is highly underrated while the mac and cheese is exactly as delicious as everyone else says it is(adult or child, it’s delicious). The szechuan beans are surprisingly good but ultimately too salty. The fresh-squeezed lemonade is the best alongside that Yum Veggie. The ordering system is a little confusing if you want to order your meal at the same time as any dessert/coffee drinks because you have to order them separately. It’d be much easier if the two checkout stations were able to communicate with each other so you didn’t have to wait in line and checkout twice.

I noticed this place while driving through a torrential downpour and decided to stop for a bit and eat until the rain softened up. Upon entering, the place is pretty cheery — upbeat music, bright lighting, clean smell and open layout. There’s lots of seating for groups of different sizes, most of which were full for lunch hour. I ordered from two stations a lunch/main dish area and a bakery/coffee shop area so I’ll kind of break it up by order. 1. Tuna Melt w/Chips and Pickle($ 10.71 post-tax) — I ordered this based off of the yummy pictures from other fellow Unilocalers. It came out hot, fresh and delicious looking. I bit into it and holy salt! It was as though I was right there with the tuna at sea! Aside of its apparent saltiness, the melt was crispy and fresh. I did not like that I had gotten a bunch of small chip crumbles for the side(that means it’s time for a new batch!). 2. German Chocolate Cupcake($ 3.75 post-tax) — First and foremost — I work in the food industry and to see an employee pick up my cupcake with bare hands is a no-no! There are gloves and tongs for such a thing… So unfortunately as picky as that may be that’s why they lost two stars. Food safety is near and dear to my heart… However, the cupcake itself was actually divine! Probably the best cupcake in Minneapolis if I might say. I’ve been around to most of the popular cupcake joints in the Twin Cities and in comparison to other places in the States they don’t hold a candle. The cake was moist, voluminous and not overly sweet. There was just enough chocolate and coconut to make it a perfect finish to my meal. And it was huge! I would return here just to have another cupcake.

This is a very popular restaurant and I can see why! The restaurant has two main sections. One is for the breakfast and bakery side, the other is for Lunch. There are lots of tables inside as well as an outdoor patio section with about 6 – 8 covered tables. When you place your order, you begin at one of the counters and pay for your meal up front. You are given a little card with your order number on it, and then proceed to find a table, seating is first come first served. I ordered the breakfast club sandwich with a large glass of orange juice. The juice was fresh squeezed and was delicious! The breakfast sandwich was very good. The sausage patty didn’t seem store bought, but maybe i’m wrong… Parking is a bit limited, but they have some street parking and you can park in a lot across the street as well. I’m looking forward to going back to test some of their bakery and lunch items!
