Awesome food! Quick and free delivery(with a super friendly delivery guy, I might add) We ordered Beef lo mein and chicken Tibetan chow mein. Lots of veggies and huge portions for the price. We are definitely becoming regulars of this restaurant!

Okay, I know this is saying something, but the curry at this place is as good as the King and I from back in the day. It’s thick, flavorful, and spicy if you want it. So good. Cranberry puffers are AWESOME. Tibetan noodles are great. Samosas? Yes please! Although, the Pad Thai and basil noodles aren’t anything to write home about though. Just avoid those. Everything else you will devour. ALSO. They are very good on Grubhub. They’re quick and the guy is cool. Love Tibetan!

Ordered delivery from Tibet Kitchen a few weeks ago — it was so yummy! Took exactly 1 hour to get here, though. Ordered the chicken/shrimp spring roll that came with a delicious spicy sauce and peanut sauce — HUGE and yummy. Also ordered the Beef Phở which came with noodles packed on the side so I could make it fresh! Altogether a great idea for a night in.

So all in all the food is okay. They delivered relatively quickly and their communication was solid. The delivery guy forgot my drink. Nothing super special about the food I ordered beef phở and the chicken stir fry was fine.

My partner and I love coming to dinner here. We probably go about twice a month. It’s quiet, low-key, an never busy(except a little more during lunch). The service is always very polite and the food always comes out fast, and hot. The portions are super generous, so I always have leftovers to take home for the next day. Plus, free tea with any meal! My favorite dish is their cranberry curry, which is unlike anything I’ve had anywhere else. I can’t recommend this place enough!

If I had option to put no star, I would… It was not open even thought Unilocal states it’s open.

So last week I was at a conference and wanted spring rolls and this restaurant was the only one open late, so I thought I’d give it a try! I ordered chicken and shrimp spring rolls and shrimp pad Thai! Super excited and I tipped the delivery guy $ 5(total was $ 20 for food and tax). When the food came, I bit into one spring roll, and noticed that it had NO chicken OR shrimp in them! Just the rice noodles and lettuce! Pretty disappointing. But I ate the first one because I was hungry. I then bit into the second one, and again, no chicken OR shrimp. I took a second bite and thought I bit into an uncooked, hard noodle. I pulled it out and realized that it wasn’t a noodle, it was a piece of plastic!!! So disappointed and sad. I spit it out, and threw it away. I really liked the generous amount of pad Thai that was given to me! The shrimp were huge! There was little to no taste to the dish though, and it was just very bland :/I was disappointed with it too.

Came here with a friend of mine, wanting to find some dumpling-like food. Since then we’ve ordered their momos again, and can see why people like this restaurant. But I’m not a huge fan. The momos are very thick-skinned and it makes it a bit harder to eat for me. It’s also a bit one note, so I get tired of eating 8 good-sized dumplings for dinner, but for a shared appetizer, this is a great add. I’ve also ordered their shapta which was okay. The steamed bread was an interesting pairing with the onions/meat sauté. The sauté was delicious but wasn’t anything overwhelming. I would say the food and service here are okay. If you don’t plan on eating much more than an entrée, without drinks, look to spend around $ 10−15pp. Décor-wise: The ambience is more than a little divey. It feels very dark, the tables don’t feel very clean, the menus smell a bit strange. Upon entering the restaurant you’re met with a random bar on the left before entering the dining room.

Tried for the first time tonight, and it has been absolutely fantastic! Ordered delivery and it was here in a very good amount of time. Ordered the combo fried rice with no onions. Still got onions but the rice was delicious, as was the fried chicken! Definitely recommend for anyone! Hopefully when I order next time I won’t have any issues, because i will be ordering again!

Got it delivered on a Saturday night, took about an hour but that’s what we figured so we had no issues with that. Pad thai and beef shapta!!! I’ve never had shapta and I can’t wait to have it again and again!!! I like spicy food and I would consider this relatively hot. I loved loved loved everything.

Lots of neat things on the menu for those tired of the same old Asian standards. Cops are usually there hanging out, so I as a Canadian feel safer. I’m told it’s a not so safe part of town, hence why the cops were there. Doesn’t matter to me. Anyway, they have this fried potato dish that’s just out of this world. It’s impossible for me to explain, but you definitely need to try it. I did try the — what was it called — yak butter tea? I’m sorry in advance for the pun, but it just wasn’t my… cup of tea. The food’s awesome, though. Plus you don’t need to drink that tea. I just needed to try it because I’m somewhat adventurous is all.

The food is usually good. However I preordered via the phone and was told 20 minutes. I got there 20 minutes later. And had to wait another 20 minutes. People who walked in and ordered food got their food before me. This will be my last visit.

This is my usual Chinese place. The food is slightly better than most Chinese American food, and definitely more unique.(The Tibetan food is the best stuff on the menu.) Most importantly, they have cranberry cream cheese wontons. They are wonderful. I prefer getting delivery, because a) the bar is a little sketchy; b) the usual delivery driver is one of the kindest people in the world; c) I’m lazy. Big portions at reasonable prices.

We moved into Stevens Square and spent the first few weeks getting wandering around the area. Everytime we walked down Nicollet, we wondered where the awesome smell was coming from. Turns out it was Tibet Kitchen. Now over a year later, it’s one of our go to takeout places. The egg rolls are amazing, best egg rolls I’ve ever had. I really enjoy the different curries also. The bf usually gets a few different beef or pork dishes, and he’s liked all of them. Everything we’ve had has been delicious and usually lasts for 2 – 3 meals each.

Tibet kitchen’s got every minnesota tibetans love and support! Their foods are oustanding! Never dissapointed. There’s one server lady, super super nice!!! Just love her! & on the side note: Sincerely thank youuuu for the tibetan tea that we always get served with the appetizer– Little things that matters and just a thought that counts. Cant wait to come back again!

Very casual space with friendly service. Sometimes they can get a little understaffed, but I haven’t ever had an exorbitant wait. I’m been here several times and here are my recommendations: Tibetan special thenthuk — soup with handmade noodles and lots of vegetables. This is actually my favorite dish here! It’s super comforting with soft, chewy«noodles». A large portion too! Beef with potatoes — super tasty and full of garlic. But my favorite part are the sliced crispy potatoes which are basically potato chips! Momos here are always good and come in the steamer served with a small onion/tomato salad. They only have beef! Tibetan style beef shapta — my Tibetan friend only orders this because he loves it so much. He gets it super spicy, with an extra tingmo or steamed bread. Apparently it tastes even the next day if you warm it up in the skillet with some butter. That’s pretty much it. Two tips– the tea is free! And the butter tea is not for me, but try it if you’re feeling adventurous. The second tip is that their happy hour is from 4−8pm with 2 for 1 beers, and ½ off bottles of wine. They also have a full bar.

I reviewed this place under it’s old name, and I just want to drop a quick rating here. Everything I’ve had here had been great. I recommend, as a specialty of the house, the Cranberry Curry. But really, anything is good. The service can be a bit funky and the parking can be tricky. But the chef is friendly and comes out to help sometimes, always with a big smile. A standard thing for me to do is eat lunch and order another dish to go and have that for dinner(or lunch the next day).

C1: tibetan style beef shapta was amazing and it was a huge portion. It had a unique very filling bread along with the dish. Even though beef were little hard still with the sauce it tasted very good. My friend got the cranberry curry dish based on the recommendations on Unilocal. It was very sweet and very spicy at the same time so get it if you like that combination. We also git Samosa for appetizers and they were fried dough with potato in them and had nice green sauce so if you like these kind fried food I would recommend it. We also got tea but they didn’t leave a pot with us or didn’t check on us to see if we want more tea. We needed to ask for more ourselves. We went on a saturday afternoon around 1 and there was only one other table full. It is a small place but the food is worth going.

First, the bouncer with a handgun is real. Second, parking was not nearly as bad the other reviews suggest. Third, this place is like a bar/restaurant. The best way I can describe it is that it’s like a Red Dragon but well lit and cleaner. The small lobby between the main door and the restaurant entry had club music. Inside there is a bar to your immediate left with big TV usually with sports. If you go further straight there is a small dining area. I thought this setup was a bit odd but the food made up for it. — Momos: I was so disappointed by this order. I love dumplings normally, and make them myself on occasion. But the wrapper is very thick, the meat was semi under seasoned and sort of dry for a steamed dumpling. The salad it comes with consists of sliced cucumbers and onions. However, this was pretty substantial in size. I just wouldn’t order it again though. + Cranberry curry: If there was a hierarchy of curries, this would be the queen bee. I LOVED this dish. it is also big enough for two people. It had coconut milk that offset the tartness from the cranberries. So good. I ate the leftovers today for lunch + Tibetan Noodle Soup: This reminded me of my mom’s homemade soup except i has loads of chicken, veggies and shredded noodles. It was delicious and came in a hugeass bowl(bigger than my head). + Oyster wings: I was pleasantly surprised. I love love love wings but for some reason, many asian places always disappoint when it comes to sauced wings. There’s a general tendency for the fried wings to be pretty decent but sauced wings to get too soggy. But this version’s awesome. It had a mild heat to it and was still crunchy from being fried then tossed in sauce. Definitely would try this again. Service: Pretty good, they came to check on our table multiple times throughout the night despite also bartending… Overall, I definitely would come back. I would agree the neighborhood does not look like it’s the safest area in the city, but it’s also on a main street and well-lit so I wasn’t too concerned. And… TRYTHECRANBERRYCURRY.

So… I stopped here for lunch(team lunch to be exact) and one of the peeps on my team keeps on raving about this place… ALWAYS. I was a little skeptical since it was located in a somewhat dicey part of town(especially at night). We arrived during the peak of lunch hour and we were the ONLY customers in the place. Not a good start… but hey, I have to give it a chance, right?! With mid-90’s rap/hop hop playing in the background, I eyeball a couple gems in the menu… I wanted to try the gyuma… sadly, they didn’t have any ready(super sad face!). I landed on the Thai spring rolls and Tibetan Style Shapta . Thai Spring Rolls = Amaz-ballz(seriously SOLID choice) *made to order, fresh ingredients, fresh chunks of seafood, amazing peanut sauce Shapta = Amaz-balls 2.0(order this if you love sliced beef and onions) *served spicy, sliced tender beef, white/green onions, tasty savory sauce; served with a large steamed bun(designed to pick apart and each with bites of beef) So here it is, solid service, good pricing, amazing food(hidden gem) and you can’t beat mid-90’s rap tunes in the background. Parking can be tricky; meter only or public transit(buses are sorta sketchy in these parts).
