On July 15, 2015 I ordered CenturyLink Internet service through Ryan and The Connected Home. I have the email in which I was promised«$ 29.95/ month — 2 yr promotion… + taxes, no modem charge… since your buying your own modem… call me back after 2 years for a new promotion… Ryan» I have had nothing but problems w/CL since I received my 1st bill last month. I have been on hold for hours and had reps disconnect the conversation. CenturyLink will not honor this promotional rate and will only offer the rate of $ 29.95 Ryan promised for one year. They have said the only way I can have a 2 year promotional rate is if I pay $ 34.95 starting NOW. I am not a happy camper. I was SO hoping that by ordering service through The Connected Home that I would be able to bypass the horrible customer service from CL. Turns out the once Ryan sells the service to you, he washes his hands of you and says to call CL and threaten to cancel your service. I’m not willing to start my search all over for an Internet provider, so I am staying w/CL. But I feel very misled by Ryan. He doesn’t have any authority to ensure that CL gives the rate he quoted. So be very, very careful when signing up for services with him, as after the service is booked, you are on your own.

During a torturous 4 hour phone conversation(regarding an extreme overcharge) with 6 different, horribly rude representatives at Comcast, I knew I had to switch providers. The Connected Home was the very next call I made and I am so glad I did! What a difference! I was immediately connected to a friendly, extremely helpful HUMANBEING rather than an annoying machine! I cannot wait to switch providers next month and The Connected Home will be the first people I call. Definitely recommend!

They couldn’t help us avoid getting Comcast, but the man I spoke to was so friendly and honest. As soon as Century Link is more available in our area, we are definitely going to switch, and will definitely be calling this company again to make sure we get the best option available.

I’ve had bad experiences with cable companies in the past, so I was skeptical at first. Dealing with everyone at The Connected Home was NOTHING like the negative experience I had in the past talking to robots and pressing 1 to continue in English, etc. Everyone there was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. We sat down and looked at my options, and within minutes I was able to find a bundle that made the most sense for me. The installation guy showed up ONTIME to put everything in, the service is great, and I’m paying about half what I paid last year. Would recommend 100%!

Connected Home is a transparent, helpful and fantastic company to do business with. When Chris and Lori told me that my overall cable experience was going to change for the better after switching to DirectTV, they were not lying. I couldn’t be happier with the product that was delivered, and look forward to doing business with Connected Home in the future. They’re a welcome addition to the Longfellow neighborhood of South Minneapolis, so I highly encourage you to pay them a visit.
