Wow, wow, wow! Discovered this gem today after a co-worker raved about how good it was and it definitely lived up to the hype! You can get a salad or choose to have it in a wrap(whole wheat). I opted for the wrap because I was feeling pretty famished and tried the Ensalada Mexicana with the blackened shrimp. It was TODIEFOR! By far, one of the best wraps I’ve ever had. The flavors were spot on and the jalapeño honey dressing was amazing with just a little kick! The whole wheat tortilla was perfectly satisfying too — not dry or lackluster. It was well worth the $ 11 I paid(with a soda too). Definitely joining the member club and am excited to have a healthy go-to spot for lunch! Kudos, Sprout!

Consistently delicious. I have eaten here about twice a week for nine months. I try to follow dietary advice to eat more fresh vegetables. This place makes it simple to eat well, because the flavors are so big and bold.(The chimi churri dressing is the best I’ve had anywhere.) I find the salads to be very satisfying, and sometimes I choose the small bowl of add on soup. I like the chicken wild rice and the clam chowder soups. I got to try the chilli a couple of times which has great spicing, and I hear that the chilli will become a regular feature. Highlights to consider: 1. This restaurant uses impeccable food handling techniques, which is critical when serving fresh salads. They even change bowls and chopping boards between customers, in case you have food allergies, or happen to be a vegetarian. 2. The Chef must be one of those people who have«super taster» abilities, because every salad, and it’s uniquely paired dressing, are divinely concocted to highlight the flavor of each salad and it’s ingredients. I know because I have had them all. Heads up, you can request any dressing with any salad, and you can customize your ingredient choices. You can also specify when you want only half the amount of dressing on a salad. 3. I’m price sensitive, so I must point out that this food is of such high quality that it is worth the price. And you can choose various options to meet your own budget needs. For example, choose the Mighty Aphrodity with no chicken for a competitively priced meal. Also sign up for the free frequent salad card, and get a free salad after so many visits. 4.These guys are fast. If the line looks long, just realize they have 2 serving lines and it only takes a few minutes . 5. They are constantly changing it up. New salads appear quarterly, try them and find your new favorites!

I was early for a meeting and had not eaten lunch so I dropped into Sprout and had the Korean bbq salad. It was outstanding! Definitely will be back when in town…

I was short on time headed back to my desk after working out downtown and walked past this place. Sometimes when I’m famished a salad doesn’t sound filling enough but I saw that this place adds good protein and grains to their salads so I stopped in to check it out. I eat a lot of salads and there are just«meh» salads and then there are real salads. When I make dinner salads at home, which is often, I go all out and that’s my own prison because I typically end up disappointed at restaurants. Either they are healthy or they are flavorful, rarely both. I was craving red meat so chose the Argentine Steakhouse salad and I have to say this one was the best I think I’ve ever had a restaurant! The portion was hefty enough to fill me up but light enough I finished it easily and felt really satisfied. The steak was high quality and tender and nicely offset the large portion of arugula and spinach. The small scoop of black beans and quinoa added more protein and the crunchy peppers were good texture. I opted to add avocado and Parmesan for up charges but before that this was a $ 9 salad. I highly recommend both those additions. The dominant flavors were from the Carmelites onions(YUM) and the garlicky chimichurri vinaigrette, both amazing. I was in and out in about 8 minutes. m including the wait time in line. I’m giving this experience five stars and can’t wait to try one of their other chef salad creations again soon!

Glad I found this place for lunch! Since I was traveling for business, I was looking for a lighter, more healthier lunch option. Enter: Sprout Salad Company. It is one of those customizable salad joints. A few that make this stand out from the rest: Fresh ingredients and the number of choices(toppings and dressings) My one comment would be that the salads are on the smaller side. I would imagine if my husband came here, he would still be hungry after a salad. Overall: Glad I found this spot. Great for lunch!

I am hooked on their K-Town salad. With nicely cooked steak that is not overly done. The kimchi adds a little tartness to the salad and the dressing is amazing. Will be back for!

I like sprout, especially the argentine steakhouse salad! The chimichurri vinaigrette that comes with it is really good and I can never have enough quinoa. I’m also a fan of the k-town. That one is good if you are looking for a little kick in your salad. My co-worker always gets the sienna and she loves that one. The blueberry basil lemonade is also great! There is limited seating so you might have to take it to go, especially if you go with more than two people!

This is by far the best salad place I’ve been to in Minneapolis. I spent the last year in Dallas and frequently ate salads at an amazing deli called Eatzi’s. On my search to find a similar place in Minneapolis, I found Sprouts on Unilocal actually. Although they limit vegetable additions to 3 per salad before charging extra, I must say their options are pretty diverse and salads are really well done. If you’re unsure about what dressings to add they even let you taste beforehand — which was pretty nice since a dressing could essentially make or break a salad experience. I also find their pre-made salads pretty interesting and eclectic. To be honest, I haven’t tried it but they sound amazing.

We’ve been hunting for a place that does custom salads ever since leaving California, so we were quite happy to find this place in Minneapolis and purposely made a trip to eat here for lunch. I ended up ordering a custom salad with Napa cabbage, watercress, baby kale, and arugula for greens, red onions, kimchi, quinoa, and eggs for toppings, chicken for protein, topped off with their seasonal spicy harissa dressing. It was a delicious salad! One of the people I was eating with ordered the Chicken Caesar, and he said it was the best salad he’s ever tasted! You get a good portion size that will fill up the average person for less than $ 10. The interior is modern, bright, and clean, with wooden tabletops and Edison bulb lamps. The menu also has calorie counts, which I thought was a great addition! Definitely worth checking out if you’re ever in the area or craving a custom-made salad — the possibilities and combinations are endless!

Finally, fast casual salad options have arrived in Minneapolis. Hallelujah! There was no surprise after I read through the salad descriptions that K-Town was calling my name. This hearty salad is composed of Korean BBQ, or as close as you can get at a salad place, with kimchee, seaweed, carrots, an egg and baby spinach. It’s filling without being heavy and leaving an overwhelming aftertaste. The other salad I’ve tried is the Riviera Nicoise. I like most of the components, a healthy portion of salmon, fingerling potatoes, green beans, red peppers and arugula. I appreciate that you can remove items from Sprout’s salads and in this case it’s the olives and watercress. The watercress has too much of a bitter taste for me but it could your thing. Waiting in line during the lunch rush is tricky. One line becomes two and then one of those will be 5 minutes slower than the other. Which line you may ask, you’ll have to figure that out for yourself. In comparison to my go-to salad station, Macy’s basement, Sprout Salad Company has options that you typically wouldn’t find in salad bar. They offer a breath of new flavors to the salad game, and so far everything I’ve had has been fresh. On the flip side it isn’t pay by weight so I won’t be going here on days when I want a $ 5 salad.

If you hate eating a boring salad for lunch in the middle of a dreary workday, come here and be ready to have that notion knocked out of your head! I’ve had their K-Town(they have it paired with a gochujang viniagrette, how creative is that dressing?) and Ensalada Mexicana(can we say amen for crispy jalapenos?) Both times I was hit with super fresh ingredients, great flavors and hearty portions. I would do the recommended dressings and meats, they know what they are doing. The service is fast and friendly too, despite the long lines. Next question Sprout, when are coming to Chicago? You have a loyalist waiting. Kthanksbye.

Hooray! I have a new favorite weekday skyway lunch spot. And it’s Sprout. As someone who frequently craves big mama salads, this opening is very exciting. Sometimes salads are just SO sad — wilted iceburg lettuce and generic, fatty dressings. But this place has so many fresh, delicious options. My favorite is the Mighty Aphrodite with grilled chicken — flavorful, filling and fresh. Plus they have tons of fresh brewed iced teas and lemonades steeped in interesting flavors. To boot, the people that work here are so kind and friendly; eager to throw you a smile. I always leave here feeling happy that I made a nutritious decision for my body. Please stay forever? I want to try ALL the salads!

I can’t say enough good things about this place! I’m so excited to finally be able to eat healthy downtown when the food trucks are gone during the winter! Every salad I’ve had is phenomenal! My fav is the Chop Chop with Ginger Carrot dressing(nom!) and 2nd is the Ensalada Mexicana w/Chicken. The lemonades are also amazing. I love the Blueberry Basil and Cucumber Mint — the herb flavors are FRESH and strong. So yummy! My only suggestion would be for them to have a mixed berry spinach salad with Gorgonzola cheese. ;) OH! and don’t forget the PERKS card! Buy 10 get one free — great deal!

I’m really digging Sprout! From the reviews it sounds like there were some initials opening issues with speed/serving, but it seems like these have all been smoothed out. Service has always been awesome for me. My favorite salad I’ve had was the K-Town. It’s like the Korean BBQ yum yum rice bowl from World Street Kitchen in salad form– super tender beef, seaweed, kimchi, hard boiled egg, spinach, seeds salads, in a spicy tangy vinaigrette with a name I can’t pronounce. Yum. The Mexicana salad is muy bien too. I added bacon on a whim(YOLO!!!) and I highly recommend. The salads are also huge portions, which I enjoy. I personally don’t like that they give you a cracker(?) with the salad but I’m a fat ass. Blueberry basil lemonade was super refreshing, but TBH, is a pretty small size for 3 bucks. Prices are on the steep side, yah– with tax a salad is around $ 10– but you can tell they’re using good high quality ingredients. KALE! RADDICHIO! If you’re tryna get your healthy lifestyle on in the less than healthy skyway lunch circuit, Sprout’s a great go to move.

I’ve been here twice in a week so I think it’s fair to say I’m a fan. I have a weird food allergy(celery) so I often have trouble with allergen management at salad bars. This place doesn’t have celery so that’s already a big win for me but they also seem to do a pretty good job at keeping ingredients separated, they have fresh cutting boards, tossing bowls and utensils for each customer. My food has also been really good both times, my only complaint is the cost… My last salad had cheese added but no meat yet it still cost over $ 11. If it was a few bucks less and I would become a regular.

I was excited to see this open, but my friend and I left pretty underwhelmed. I was hoping it was like similar places I’ve been to in DC(Chopped) and Denver( ) that had some really great ingredients, like roasted veggies, tempeh and baked teriyaki tofu. The veggie ingredients here are pretty run of the mill and they have no vegetarian protein options. None! For that alone, they lose out to the Salad Bar across the street. My salad was also a bit blah. Not a lot of flavor, excepting the grapefruit, which was really sour. My friend ended up throwing half of hers away. So, not a great start, but I’m willing to give it one more shot. But as far as I can tell at this point, there are much better salad options in the skyway.

I’ve been twice and first want to recommend you always get the cucumber mint lemonade — a perfect drink with the salads. I’ve tried two salads, Caesar Salad with Chicken and the dressing all came to about 400 calories which is great for a healthy lunch. The second trip I had the Korean BBQ steak, another healthy option for about 400 and had a perfect kick to it which I was looking for. The wide range of menu will give plenty of healthy options for frequent visits.

I can’t believe people are giving Sprout 1-star reviews after being opened for 2 days. Service is a little slow, but this is their 2nd day opened. Though slow, the staff is incredibly friendly. In no time, the service will be up to speed. Compared to other salad spots in downtown Minneapolis, this place wins. I’m not a salad lover, but I want to try every single one of their«Chef Crafted» salads. The salads are unique and well thought out. Their homemade dressings… oh my GOSH! Lemon Creole Mustard Vinaigrette? Jalapeño Honey Lime? Fresh Carrot Ginger? Fresh Lemon Oregano? At a skyway lunch spot? MYGOSH. AMAZING. The lavash they serve with the salads is a salty, crispy relief from another, close-by and well known salad place’s subpar pita bread. I had the Argentine Steakhouse salad and it was superb. I had it with the Chimichurri vinaigrette and YUM. The owner was also handing out samples of their in-house lemonade. The Blueberry Basil was to die for. The space itself is so cool. I love it! The next salad on my list to try is the K-Town(Korean BBQ steak with a whole bunch of other goodies.) Even their Chicken Caesar sounds delicious with their homemade sourdough croutons! Again, it’s really discouraging to see Unilocalers giving this place 1-star reviews. Please don’t believe them. Give it a try and see for yourself!

Kudos to the owners for having the vision to create such an awesome salad restaurant. I’ve been twice and both times it was great, nothing in the skyway comes close. It’s miles ahead of Salad Bar in terms of flavor, greens assortment,(where else can you get baby kale, radicchio, arugula, Napa cabbage and fresh baby spinach in the dead of winter for under $ 10?!) and value for the money. So far the K-town was my favorite, with kimchee, spinach, eggs — kind of like if bibimbap transformed into a salad. Also loved the heartland Cobb– an apparent ode to the Midwest with Nueske bacon and Maytag Bleucheese with a fresh spin on the Hollywood classic. When I was there, the choppers boards were changed after each salad, so not sure what happen that first day. I love this place and plan to try each and every salad, then try to create a few of my own.

I attended the«training» opening of the restaurant, and even based on the fact that people are still learning the ropes, I would unhesitatingly recommend it to anyone who likes salads. The food quality rules. I had the South Beach salad with grilled Salmon. Veggies were excellent, very fresh, and dressed appropriately without feeling overwhelming or heavy. The salmon tasted like salmon should, not like canned fish. Can’t wait to try their other salads in the future.
