Can the people here work any slower? It is a little pricey for what you get. Food is so-so. Worth checking it out but skip this place if you can, there are better sushi places around the area.

Expensive and very very small portion. In addition to that taste is not that good either. Never going back again.

Truly disgusting! I regretted the purchase before I even paid for the roll. The kid behind the counter could’t have slopped together the ingredients in a less appetizing way. Since I was pretty hungry I attempted one bite and immediately regretted it. This is my first Unilocal review, because honestly try give people/business a chance. Really, just horrible and a totally waste of $ 8.99.

Surprisingly caught me by surprise how tasty and healthy this place is. Granted, the ingredients were not fresh as the workers themselves literally said that they ship ingredients in like their tamago, etc but for a quick Asian meal, it was perfect! Think of it as your Asian chipotle. The place allows you to make your own sushi rolls, choose ramen, or make your own rice bowls. Because I get to choose more vegetables for the bowl, I went with that. For 10 dollars(Which is decent in Minny) I got a delicious brown rice bowl with chicken teriyaki(all dark meat), poached egg(cooked on the spot), avocado(no extra charge — SAYWHAT?), marinated shirataki mushrooms(which were slightly sweet but DELICIOUS), sliced carrots, sliced cucumbers, and edamame. Each additional add-on after three vegetables was only 50 cents. I chose the Gojuchang(not sure if I spelled that right) sauce which is a little like the red sauce used in Bibambap but thinner and slightly more sweet. I was stuffed and my taste buds were happy. My one complaint is that their service is REALLY slow — There were only four people in line including the two that were ordering and it took forever for them to make the food.

I got a shrimp rice bowl– cost about $ 8 – 9. Delicious. Accessible via the Skyway. Plus it was open on a Saturday, unlike many places in the Skyway.

I like making my own thing :) I usually get a shrimp tempura roll and always try a new combination. Definitely should try even if your not into raw stuff like me you’ll still find something yummy

I went here for the Ramen and I was highly disappointed. Okay well my fault too, going for Ramen at a sushi place. But I think if you offer it, then please make it decent. Your broth lacked salt and well flavor. Why did you put sweet mushrooms in my soup? You messed with my brain on this one. Not enough broth with the noodles, definitely not slurp worthy.

I eat Japanese food because I feel healthy about the experience, I grabbed a few things from the refrigerator here; in a glance I could see that no food coloring had been added to the ginger or wasabi and that satisfied me, but when I had a chance to sit down and read the ingredient list I was creeped out by what I saw. Eel sauce has MSG, carmel color and something else I could not pronounce(scary), Hawaiian sauce contains high fructose corn syrup, the vegetable gyoza had shortening and partially hydrogenated soybean oil(hydrogenated products are banned in other countries) MSG and polysorbate 80(WHAT?) Little nervous about their fish sources too. Yes it was pricey and low-quality. Someone mentioned that this company is related to Masu, I don’t think I’ll go back there either. I feel duped.

What happened? This used to be my favorite lunch spot in the skyway. Price has gone up, quality gone down. I went today for a roll and they were out of salmon and yellowtail. Really?! Just sad.

I’m pretty disappointed with the service in this place. I know what the company is capable of considering Masu NE but this place is consistently terrible. The employees seem miserable and aloof. They don’t even try to provide quality customer service. This includes all the staff I’ve encountered which suggests a bigger problem then just a couple of bad eggs. I went in to order my favorite, special occasion, lunch treat; Pork Belly Steamed Buns. I left with Pork Belly on steamed buns but a different sauce than normal and different accoutrements. It’s fine, I’m going to eat it, rather than walk 6 blocks back to complain to an indifferent staff, BUT it’s not what I came for. I even asked the girl at the register if she was sure that was my order, she confirmed. I said, it looks like different sauce, she said it wasn’t, I left expecting exactly what I found. I’m no longer willing to give this place the benefit of the doubt.

My review is really only for the sushi, haven’t had much else of their things yet, mostly due to the price of some of it. I tend to go here every once in awhile when I want my sushi fix during lunchtime. I’ve been to both the IDS and Target locations, and I feel the IDS location is better — the one time I was at the Target location, my roll was put together sloppily to the point where it was falling apart. Never had that happen when I was at the other one. The place is very cute in terms of décor — I do appreciate how bright and clean everything looks, and the fun facts about japan is great as well. I usually just get the spicy tuna roll, which is pretty good, and sometimes a side of edamame, which the quality varies — sometimes it’s fresh and other times you can definitely tell it’s been there awhile. While I’ve definitely had better sushi elsewhere, this place tends to hit the spot for me better than its competitors in the skyway, so it is worth a trip.

Much more convenient than the location on the other side of Target at 9th and Nicollet and the lines move much faster during the lunch rush. The staff is friendly, the food is fresh and great.

Downtown fast food sushi and ramen is always questionable, especially in the Midwest, so I went into One Two Three Sushi with low expectations. Not low enough. Everything is overpriced for what you get. There’s better quality sushi at the local Lunds. And the ramen, I could have made something better at home. I ordered the Pork Tonkatsu Ramen, Crispy Pork Tonkatsu with Tonkatsu Sauce in Pork Broth. The pork that came on top was tough and had a soggy breading. I was already dreading having it as I watched the person behind the counter cut the filet. The main part, the ramen noodles, were under cooked and way too chewy. All of it added together made a bland amateur hour ramen. Then you factor in the service, the people working behind the counter take as much care as people working in a McDonald’s. I watched as the person preparing my ramen bowl recklessly threw in the«toppings.» Overall a depressing experience.

During a very busy day at work, I was fortunate enough to get a small window for food. I kept passing this place when walking to work and was really curious. Listen, if you know me well, you’ll know that I LOVE Asian food, so I’m down to try anything! Located on the second floor skyway along Nicolette, this place definitely looks inviting! White walls, bright colors and light wooden table tops and bar stools really caught my eye. At first glance, this place looks clean and fresh! The staff was nice and personable. There were a few working the counter so that meant fast service! It’s a definite«grab and go» type joint. You enter one way, go through a partitioned walkway and led up to the counter. The menu is plated on the wall. You order, pay and then led to the dining area to eat. It’s a pretty efficient set up. Here’s what I had: –Pork Tonkatsu Rice Bowl for $ 7.99. Crispy pork tonkastu with tonkatsu sauce over rice with sides of pickled mushrooms and radish(daikon) and garnished with scallions. The sauce was flavorful, the rice was cooked nicely and I LOVED the tang from the pickled veggies. I also liked the tonkatsu as well, however one thing I noticed is that it was not fresh. At all. The patty looked previously frozen, which they threw in a rotating toaster once ordered. I was like, «oh hell naw.» Not the best impression. –Pork and Chicken Gyoza for $ 4.99. 6 pieces of gyoza, displayed in their grab and go chiller. ***remember to ask them to heat it up*** The wrapping was a bit gummy and the filler was a little bland. Thank goodness for the ponzu sauce which brought a nice and familiar tangy flavor to it. All in all, it was a good choice for a fast meal. The prices were reasonable and the location was convenient. Although my rating was just ok, I know I’ll be back to try something else. You can never push me away from Asian foods!

I had such high hopes for this place but when I tried their ramen, was so disappointed! For some reason it was sour. The prices are too high for the quality of the rolls. They essentially taste like the rolls you can get at the deli section of a nice grocery store. I do appreciate the fact that they offer brown rice options.

I haven’t had any of the other entrees, so this review is for sushi only. And it’s OK. It’s fast food sushi, so my expectations were fairly low the first time I went(after discovering my most favorite skyway sushi restaurant closed…*sniff* miss you so much, Together Sushi!!). I’ve been here twice, and both times had a salmon roll with brown rice, avocado, cucumber, «tempura» and sweet unagi sauce. The tempura topping isn’t tempura at all; it’s more like puffed rice, but it still adds a decent crunch & texture. Sweet unagi is basically like an eel sauce. Be forewarned, they are pretty heavy-handed with the toppings. They put so much sauce on my roll on my second trip that I could hardly taste that I had ordered salmon as my filling. My second time here for lunch I got a side of Miso soup. It’s really bizarre — it has some spice added to it that does NOT make it better than normal miso soup. It smelled like it should have some heat to it, but then when I tasted it, it was really bland and actually tasted like it needed salt. For $ 2, I will not be ordering it again. Overall, it’s ok. I think it’s a bit overpriced(I paid $ 11 for a fairly simple roll and a cup of miso soup), but an $ 8 roll on its own is fairly in line with what you’d pay for lunch anywhere downtown. The sushi is not awesome or complex, but if you want something light and healthy-ish for lunch in the skyway system, it does the trick.

Horrible chicken rice, worst noodle. I tried there few times. Nothing good. It all from manufacture. Good concept but bad food.

Great idea. Steadily declining execution. The great idea — elevate eating in the skyway. Eat simple, FRESH food that is prepared quickly in front of you by experts. Now that the newness has worn off, the poor execution is on display. The kids slinging noodles and sushi knives have as much passion for what they do as a the girl serving yogurt does next door. It’s just another summer job. And did he just microwave a package of ramen from a cellophane package? Yes. So much for the illusion. I just hope they don’t expand based on the early success of being new and different and instead focus on the original idea.

Not a big sushi fan but was downtown and the place looked fun, so I stopped in. Friendly staff, and I love how you can design your own with only things you like. Had the brown rice BBQ tofu with asparagus, avocado, jalapeño, and screaming Thai sauce. Loved it — great taste and heat on a sub zero Minnesota winter day. Took one star off only because it’s pricey — 7.99 plus tax. Otherwise a 5 star fast good joint.

Came here during a lunch break, and was intrigued by the menu. They have ramen, buns and of course sushi and I decided to make my own roll. For $ 7.99, which is the price of super market sushi, I got a salmon, avocado and roasted red pepper roll, topped with fish roe as well as mango habanero sauce. Now, the 4 stars is for the service as well as concept of the food. In terms of the sushi’s taste, it was more 3 stars. Not bad but when you include the price, it is a 4 stars and it is a convenient location downtown. Overall, I will def. be back to create more combinations, but if you are looking for good sushi, this isn’t the place to go.
