The ambience of this place is fantastic. They have 100+ beers, the people are friendly, it’s a place you could spend a while any time through the year. I don’t know if they open their outdoor patio since I haven’t been back since May but it would be awesome if they did! The food is okay(we’re used to deep dish Chicago pizza) but I’d definitely go back just to revel in the Chicago theme and friendly faces. They didn’t even mind that we had come, only to figure out that we needed to run to another meeting, and would come back. They remembered us upon our return a couple hours later — must return!

First off, I am well aware this location will be closing in the next few months. Not because of poor anything, purely because CRAVE decided they want the space and went to the landlords and… well money talks… that was a really classless thing. Granted the OC owners had the opportunity to pay the increased rent to stay, but seriously CRAVE… you suck! This place, while a little pricey has great food. HH is always fantastic and the beer selection is vast. The service has always been mediocre(slow) but I have always gone in with the intention of not being rushed and just enjoy the night. The dippin dough is fantastics… simple but amazing! Italian nachos are a experience as with the pizza rolls. The Meat Me Pizza is great and if you want a spice go for the Double Deckoroni. I will definitely miss this place!

Sometimes you have to look past the immediate. I walked in on a cold day when they were doing renovations. Some painting and door improvements. Okay, so this place was pretty good. I went there for lunch and had no wait. The staff were friendly and courteous. I ended up getting a cup of chicken tortilla soup and a personal pizza. The soup was amazing. I want another cup now. I had the meat pizza and it was quite yummy. It was just about enough food. If I ate any more I would have been full and if I had ¾ of the pizza with the soup I would have been great. It was too good to not finish all my food though. Parking was a little tricky. Not terrible. Some truck parked on the curb so it made backing out difficult. If people park the right way, then you should be good to go.

Old Chicago used to be a place I «hung my hat» so to speak. Coming in at least twice per week with friends. Not anymore! The food went from bad to worse. With the new menu change, they took the few things that were good off(including, but not limited to, the nachos) and replaced them with complete junk. The last time we went they were out of half of their ingredients and I had to change my order THREE times. Even the staff dislikes the new menu, if that staff even works there anymore. The turnover in this restaurant is like no other. As soon as we get to know the«new» staff, it changes. I think that represents poor management. We are taking our business elsewhere, we won’t ever be back. Sad:(

The food was fine/good. Although we enjoyed our meal, we could have eaten at Panera for half the price. Free WiFi though! Service was good as well. The bruschetta was very good. Happy hour and late night prices look good, would eat there again then.

I hadn’t been to an Old Chicago since I lived in Fargo so we checked it out in Uptown. I thought it would be a great place to avoid hipsters since I hear most of them don’t eat meat, so off we went! It was okay. I had my first stromboli. It was pretty good minus all of the crust. I really like their pizza as well. The couple times I’ve been here we basically can pick where we want to sit because it’s so dead. Not sure if it’s just been odd times when I’ve been there but they never really seem too busy. The staff has always been really friendly and that’s the main reason I’d go back. Try the deep fried pickles, they are amazing.

This place is just ok and yes I have experienced better. Food: It tastes similar to microwaveable food you may buy from Target or Rainbow foods. Service: Is nothing to write home about, I have been to this place couple times and the servers were sort of uninterested in what they were doing which is not really great. Moreover the Old Chicago location in Eagan turned down my Unilocal Check In coupon which was not very nice.

We usually don’t visit chain restaurants, but we were at the Art Fair and wanted to grab a quick sandwich and a beer so we stopped in. Hostess was pleasant and seated us outside along the street because it was shaded and we wanted to people watch. I ordered a guacamole burger and it was great. Hubs ordered a burger as well and devoured it without complaint. Beer was cold. What more could you want?

I go here quite a bit since it’s a hop, skip and jump from my house, however, the service is very inconsistent. Sometimes I get a server who is spot on and attentive, but more often than not I get a server who has the IQ of a jelly bean. As a former server myself, I don’t understand how hard it can be to not screw up orders. Also, when someone is obviously there for the beer tour, please put in the correct beers that they’ve drank and not just push numbers into the machine. I’ve had to have the manager fix my WBT card several times because I was given the wrong beers.(I know, first world problems). The food is always good and the beer is always cold, yet a bit expensive.

Eat. Drink. Be Yourself. Their slogan holds true. The atmosphere is fun and casual. Food. Yummy, yummy, yummy! Drinks. The bar is pretty typical with TVs and high top tables. I don’t drink beer… but I hear the beer here is good and plentiful. Their Late Night Bar Menu is absolutely amazing, so cheap and many delicious food and drink choices. Try the $ 4 Sicilian Pepperoni Roll for a spicy pizza like treat, easy to share or polish off yourself if you are hungry. My most recent trip to Old Chicago was after a night on the town, and let me just say that there is nothing better than a plate of cheese bread to soak up some booze. Perfectly crispy and cheesy mix with marinara dipping sauce. Their patio is pretty cool. I have not been seated outside here before, but I can see how it would be a super fun place to spend some time on a wonderful Minnesota summer night. One added bonus of the Uptown location is the proximity to the bus station; its right next door. So, if you have a little too much to drink, a safe ride home is just across the street.

Everything I expect, I like when a place lives up to the billing. Example Late night Happy Hour. $ 1 personal pizza 1 topping, perfect, still using the same dough and pizza sauce, and it comes out hot and fresh, $ 2 pints of GrainBeltNordeast. $ 5 assorted apps. Your service is what you can expect, pretty slow considering they have a large section but if everyone is going to tip %20 on their tab that is less than a buck a tab. SO i understand. MGT seemed to be around and helpful. delivered one round of food for us. The crowd is people looking for a $ 1 dollar pizza and that’s fine by me. Thank you OC for giving away your fine wares so I can ball on a budget. W

I used to go there every week to watch Monday Night Football. Double Deckeroni is the best pizza in the Cities. So many beers on tap. .and the World Beer Tour makes exploring them all even more fun.,

I’m not a fan of Old Chicago’s pizza, very greasy with really bland sauce. I enjoy the atmosphere, love all the Chicago nostalgia, and the wait staff is friendly, but there are so many better places to get pizza nearby. The one thing they do have no question is a large selection of beer. However, you’d probably need to be a proffesional beer sampler or a diehard drinker for that to matter to you when you consider how lousy the food is. For pizza in the Uptown area I’d head to Green Mill instead.

This is my Old Chicago that I’ve visited and actually eaten meals at. I’ve gone here a handful of times for lunch or dinner, and I have never had a bad experience. The servers are typically nice, but not overly so. There is usually good service — the only time I see this lacking is if it’s a rush, which is pretty normal. I’ve gotten a variety of food here and it’s all been served to me hot and fresh tasting. I’ve never felt ill from the food, it’s not too greasy and the portion sizes are great. If you visit this location, definitely try to sit out on the patio during the summer. It is on either size of the front entrance and right by the road so you can get a TON of great people watching in while enjoying your food or beer!

I’m not a fan of chain restaurants, but this place is different. Why, they have some 300 different types of beer. So if you can’t find something here that you like, then you don’t like beer. The pizza is solid, better than average, but the crust is a little bland and generic tasting, but the rest is all good. They also had a great deal on buffalo wings during Sunday football games. The wings were pretty good, but only Minnesota spicy, pretty meaty. Good sports bar uptown with a parking lot, good beer, good pizza.

This is a great place to go late at night with friends. They have some of the best happy hour and late night specials around. The staff from the management on down is always super friendly. They also support the Minnesota Red Ribbon Ride and lots of other non profits. If you want sports and beer with great apps and a friendly atmosphere this is the place for you in uptown

I tend to frequent this establishment, but have yet to review it. So I shall. The #1 reason I go here is the World Beer Tour. I am most of the way through my first tour and never fail to find a new beer to try when I go here. I love the fact that they have different groupings of favorite beers, whether it is their special seasonal beers, staff favorites, or a mini tour, there is always a good list to chose from and some beers you don’t find very often. On top of that, they have good a happy hour! However, regular prices are reasonable as well. The food is decent. It is corporate, but delicious and one of my favorites when I want pizza. Not the fancy kind like Pizza Luce has, just plain, old, good pizza. Late night happy hour food prices are great as well. If you have time to wait for a calzone, you should have one. The pizza rolls are a favorite appetizer of ours(unless we get the trio, which includes garlic bread and Italian nachos as well). Good kids menu too! The atmosphere is just like any other Old Chicago with the beer tour plaques on the wall. If you have never been, it is a typical sports bar with sports pictures and signs, about 100TV’s and the sound of the game reaching the far corners of the restaurant. The patio is fantastic in the summer! It is very large and just off the bustle of Hennepin Ave. Another reason we come here is the gaming! I know it sounds lame, but that is our guilty pleasure! We play Silver Strike(in HD now) while working on our tours. If we have the young man with us, we sit in a booth near the bar, where we have the gaming machine at your table. We are not even big gamers, but it goes with the territory here. The service is always good.(It has to be. It is corporate.) This is just an all around fun time! It is affordable and a favorite of ours when we are able. Have a beer. Have some pizza. Watch the game. Do it here.

When going out in Uptown sometimes it is nice to go to a relaxed but very fun atmosphere and that is what Old Chicago provides. It is usually pretty busy and it is my favorite place to go and watch the Vikes(The MN football team). They have awesome prizes — I won a nice Viking hat and I didn’t have to purchase anything to get into the raffle! As for the food it is great, but I don’t think they have the best Happy Hours and prices for drinks are a priced a bit to high. I wouldn’t let that stop you from coming! Portions are good and it is a great place for a date or a family outing.

Great date night for under $ 20. Tuesday night they have some of the best karaōke in town. So after grabbing the mic you can grab a dollar off tap beer and half price apps starting after 10pm. I would recommend the Italian nachos. Plus the chicken poppers for just $ 1.99… Need i say more. So fellas grab a girl and lets hit the mic this Tuesday night, I will see you there.

My friends and I came here to celebrate my being home for a week. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the service and menu choices have all improved in the past year. The menu has a much larger selection, so all of us walked away happy. Their drink menu has also expanded. All of our favorites are still listed on the menu. Service was much better than any time I’ve been there before. Our waiter was on the ball and even the manager came over to make sure we were being taken care of properly. At the end of the night he even split up our bill without so much as a flinch.
