Went here for the free PC tune up they advertise and I was bracing myself for them to try to up sale me. The gentleman who helped me was very honest about the fact that my 4 year old computer was in great shape, and only needed a few minor tweaks that cost me $ 8. It’s running great now!

Will never trust this store with my materials again. I submitted a print order online and selected a pick-​up date for two days later. I arrived to pick it up, and it wasn’t finished. Staff was slow and non-​communicative. Lots of searching and searching before figuring out the order wasn’t finished. I was the one to propose the solution of starting the order immediately, as they seemed flummoxed by the situation.
When the copying was complete, I needed to FedEx the documents. Employee was stumped by the FedEx machine because the box was going to Canada. I gave up, since I had now been in this store for 90 long minutes. Went to a FedEx office across the street and they took care of me in 10 minutes.
Interestingly, the customer ahead of me was also sent to the FedEx store, because Officemax staff didn’t know how to address his FedEx issue. And the customer after me arrived to pick up his copying job and it wasn’t finished — he was told to come back later.

I’ve stopped in here a few times over the years to grab a few things. Tonight I needed one (thanks random school supply list) I called ahead, they confirmed they had it and I arrived at 5:59 and was told «we’re closed.» In the grumpiest way possible. Really? I told him I only needed to the one thing, and I can see there are still many people waiting in line to pay, and still you have to give me that attitude?

I went to the Print Center to print copies of my resume for a career fair I’m attending. I don’t own a flash drive for some weird reason so I was hoping to use a computer to download the document from my email. Apparently they don’t do that here. I was offered the option to email it to their store email and then they would download it from there. So I sent it there and sat down to wait.
I waited, and waited, and waited. The clerk who was helping me walked away and asked some other clerk to tell him over their little radios if they received an email. She then walked away from the computer area and helped another few customers. I was a little peeved that he didn’t wait to check the email; they are supposed to be instantaneous aren’t they? I also don’t know what he was doing. He went in the back are and just disappeared while the other clerk helped all the customers and there was a line.
Anyhow, my email never came. I tried it a few more times and then was told «sorry…» They were really nice about it though. So, I did buy 20 sheets or linen resume paper at only 13 cents per page which isn’t bad. I appreciated not having to buy a whole pack of 100 sheets.
I also bought a portfolio folder. The man who walked up to me to ask what I was looking for acted like he thought i was dumb. Apparently what I was looking for is not called a «portfolio folder». It is called something else, of which I do not even remember the name. Either way, he knew exactly what I was talking about and just needed to make a point that I didn’t know what I was talking about. Awesome social skills, buddy. I will not be coming back for more of that treatment.
The lady at the checkout counter was really sweet. She was very friendly and helpful and wasn’t pushy about their particular customer loyalty card which I did not want. I suggest going across the road to FedEx Office if your needs are the printing/​copying types.

I’ve been here a few times, with various print jobs. The staff here has been fast, efficient, and friendly.
And that’s A-​OK in my book!
I am a member of the MaxRewards program, but probably don’t spend enough here to see much rewards — other than the flood of emails marketed to me.

If you like private brand supplies choose office max. For my money, not quite the same quality as name brands.
