Nick’s Chimney Service & Duct Cleaning

I’m thrilled to write this review for Nick’s Chimney Service. The Spring of 2014 will go down as one of the suckiest most wet springs ever! At least it felt that way. It rained SO much in June that the «cats and dogs» were like… WTF?!? Anyway, I had some moisture seeping down through my chimney stack and making the grout look wet down into my bedroom. YIKES! I guessed that we had some issues with the chimney cap. There were also some bricks that were visibly deteriorating. Nick came out and not only sealed the chimney cap but patched a few of the bricks. It seemed like a job well done, but the extremely wet weather would put Nick’s job to the test. The visible moisture continued. So Nick (and his crew) came out and tried again, spotted some additional places that moisture might be getting in, replaced and added caps on the chimney and even cut away a few branches that were encroaching on the chimney. That seemed to finally get the job done. I wasn’t charged for any of the subsequent trips that Nick and his crew made. This told me that I was dealing with a great business man! He was going to keep doing the job until the job got done. I even went back one day a few weeks later to find a guy from Nick’s on my roof applying another sealant. I hadn’t asked him to come out… I’m sure he just wanted to make double and triple sure that we wouldn’t have to deal with any additional moisture issues. Nick and his team were always polite, professional, and definitely persistent. I would for sure recommend them if you have chimney work to get accomplished. I just set up another appointment for Nick to come out and look at the chimney and fireplaces at my new house!
