One word: volleyball! We are in a volleyball league here in the summer and every Wednesday we stay for at least 4 hours. The pitchers are $ 6, the pizza is delicious, and the atmosphere is great — we have met a lot of new people just from hanging out and talking. The missing star is because of customer service. I understand that this is family owned, but wow some weeks the staff just have attitudes. Our waitress– we always have the same one –is wonderful. And very cheerful for being the only waitress I have ever seen serving the whole porch. The bartender Jesse is awesome. But other people who work there aren’t the friendliest. When I went to sign up our team I got«I don’t know what date it starts» «I don’t know how it works.» Then I was told one date when it was actually a week later. When I went to pay for my team I paid in cash and asked for a receipt so I had record — and that was clearly an in inconvenience. I have bowled here a few times and the people who are at the counter act like they have more important things to do then take your money and give you shoes. Overall this is a great place. I tend to just avoid the bowling area.

Great for families. Stop at the Italian Pie Shop and order a pizza(I like the square cut thin crust), bowl while your order awaits. They even have good pitchers of beer(Nordeaster)! Good for families and hanging out with adult friends.

A group of us came here at about 8 on a Saturday night. I was happy that it was busy so there were people there, but not so busy that we had to wait for a lane. The prices were reasonable too ~$ 4/game & $ 3 for shoe rental(I also saw that during the day games only cost $ 1). The place is clean for a bowling alley. The scoring system was easy to work. And they had a good selection of bowling balls. Another perk is that there is an Italian Pie Shoppe attached so good pizza is convenient. They have moonlight bowling at 930. But my group included a couple of tweens so we left before it really started.

We were the only people bowling at nine on a week night, we were also the only patrons in the entire building. There were a few people outside playing volleyball, but I believe they worked there. When someone from my group went to get another pitcher he came back to tell us he would try later as the bartender was currently making out with someone from the bar. The place is open late, but they turned off the ovens at 10. OK, that’s understandable I suppose, we were the only ones in there… but when I asked the guy at the desk if he knew somewhere around that delivered he rudely informed me that I couldn’t bring in outside food or drink. Once again, we were the only ones there, this doesn’t mean there was a small group at the other end of the alley, but we were literally the only people there all night and I would have rather bought their food, but they wouldn’t make it. Seems very unreasonable to me. It didn’t help that they continued to run their alley ads on the TVs that said«Hungry? Order a Hot Pizza!». I wanted to suggest they turn the TVs off, but I just left it alone. The beer was cheap, $ 6 – 7 per pitcher and they have a lot of nice TV’s, but the front of the building is becoming run-down with close to half of the bulbs in their neon sign broken and the staff seemed about what’d you’d expect a lazy bowling alley staff to be.

This is a really fun place! They have different bowling leagues each night for those just beginning and looking for fun all the way up to the experts. Moonlight bowling on saturday nights is a blast and you even have chances to win money. They also have a very fun volleyball league in the summer. There is a great neighborhood bar with some of the best bartenders, and the attached Italian Pie Shoppe is by far the best pizza around!
