Marcellos has been our pizza of choice for going on 15 years now. The sauce is homemade with a little bit of kick… just a little. Garlic cheese bread is a must. Really have never been disappointed here! The location near us is now closed but they have Two others in western suburbs under the DeTello’s name.

I’m near tears knowing this cold leftover, but still delicious garlic chicken double crust pizza, could possibly be my last serving of Marcello’s fine American-Itallian food. I’ve been a long time fan of their pizzas, pastas, and cheese bread. The restaurant is so cute and cozy, and the staff has always been friendly and efficient. I really hope they re-open, and I already resent Walmart for buying out the building they leased in for as long as I can remember.

If you love pizza, hell, even if you don’t, this is the place to go! The pizza here will make even the most non pizza fan, fall in love. Trust me. The place has a great old school vibe to it, because it’s just that, old. It’s been around forever. Just the smell when you walk in is breathtaking, in a good way. We just had some friends come in from New York and took them here. They said it was better than anything they have had in New York. Pretty big praise if you ask me. Everything about the pizza is awesome. The cheese, crust(3 kinds: Thin, Double Crust & Deep Dish), meats, and veggies. Everything is great. The thin crust is really really thin. We usually go for the Double or the Deep(not like Chicago Deep Dish). The Double is still thin and cut into squares. The Deep is pretty much the same style as a hand tossed pizza and is cut into triangles. No matter how you slice it, this place has the best pizza in all of Minnesota… and New York.

As soon as I pulled up, I knew this place had to have good pizza. It’s in a dying strip mall with a dozen empty spaces or so and three occupants. Location and décor aren’t keeping this place in business. Gold Vinyl booths scattered about with plastic plants for decoration. The service was prompt and friendly and the pizza was delicious. Their crust was nice and thin and squarecut like I like. Sauce was decent, a little bland, but it was likeable. We didn’t try any, but their cheese bread looks amazing. Nearly every table had a order. Priced very reasonably as well.

I moved to Plymouth from NYC about 7 months ago and until recently I haven’t found any good pizza! My husband and I tried Marcello’s thin crust last week and though it isn’t NY pizza it was pretty darn good! I will say that sadly, the antipasto salad is less than adequate. I am use to real antipasto made with yummy Italian cold cuts not iceberg lettuce with pizza toppings.(Salad consisted of iceberg lettuce, diced olives, peperoni???, and shredded mozzarella cheese again ???) Seriously… don’t put it on the menu if you are going to do a half a** job at it. I might add that they have 3 different options for antipasto salads, none of which are much better than the next :( I definitely recommend the pizza, but stay away from the Antipasto salad! BTW, I thought I should mention that the pizza does not come in a pizza box. I wouldn’t mind if it were the summer time, but the paper bag does not keep your pizza warm when it 22 degrees outside. We had to reheat our pizza after a less than 10 minute drive.

The best thin crust pizza north of Medicine Lake, and west of New York… that’s for sure. Seriously, the pizza is amazing, and the garlic cheese bread is the best as well. If you’re ever in P-town…order up some Marcello’s for pick up and have yourself a feast! I love how they cut the pizza in little squares.

I used to live down the road from this place. It’s what I miss most since moving. Really. It’s been there… well, forever, which is obvious by the interior which probably has not ever been updated! Kinda adds charm though. The pizza? It is simply, the best pizza any where. Ever. Seriously. True story.

I have been going to Marcello’s since I was in elementry school and I just love this place. The menu is pretty simple with pasta and pizza but absolutely divine. I love the cheese garlic bread, it is a meal in its self. The staff/service is always fabulous. The weekends are always busy but if you get there before 6PM you can get a sit. I highly recommend this place if you want something simple and good. Also very wallet friendly!
