Louie’s is my local corner store (bodega). It has all the essentials that you need when you can’t get to Cub Foods, Lunds, or Whole Foods. The pricing leans on the high side, but for a couple of items, it’s not bad. Their gyros are good, but not great. I felt like the meat was not seasoned enough (or at all). I’ve also had the chicken wings & fries and was pleasantly surprised how good they were. I recommend you stop in Louie’s when you are in a pinch and definitely try the gyros.

So excited to finally have made the trek over! $ 5 gyros had me intrigued… they are absolutely amazing, and VERY generously sized. They also have great selections of unique beverages in the cooler, I tried an aloe & coconut drink that was amazing.
Should you ever need any hookah supplies, this appears to be the place to go! Tons of products behind the cashiers’ counter.
Definitely a must-​stop for people living in the neighborhood or passing through.

Came here on my continued quest for my perfect gyro in Minneapolis. Had hoped this was the place since Louie’s is within spitting distance of where I live. Sadly, it’s not my perfect gyro, so the hunt is still on.
But. All was not lost on this trip. There is a lot that this store has going for it. Bottles of Joia pop, tasty looking gelato in the freezer, incense with amazing names (!!!). Basically all the things that make me happy in life in a corner store, perfect gyro aside.

I used to live on 35th/​Bryant and I LOVED being able to walk here for Gyros. They’re $ 5, put together with care and delicious!
They also carry a lot of stuff: convenience foods, basic groceries, etc.
If you go in for Gyros, you may have to wait a bit as there is usually only one person working. Be patient, this is a privately owned neighborhood c-​store, and the guys that work here are usually really friendly.

Not gonna lie, my healthy ass is usually in here for mixers really late at night. But the guys behind the counter are super friendly and every time I have a Random Shit Emergency, Louie’s seems to have what I need. They also have an awesome deli case the contents of which may or may not have accompanied said mixers home on more than one occasion. It’s no Santana’s, but that’s quite the stumbly walk from Uptown. Couldn’t be drunk without you, Louie’s.
