I have to admit to being cautious to a place that has the sometimes moniker of «Target Dorms». As a former dorm counselor, I hated to think of another round of asinine behavior, only this time on a rigorous 9 – 5 work schedule instead of the leniancy of college lifestyles. From the beginning, Laurel Village was an excellent experience. My rent was less than I had anticipated, and I had the added bonus of the cost staying the same for my 2nd year at the place. The location was convenient(and will be more so once the Lund’s across the street is completed), the staff was prompt and courteous, and the amenities(gym, grocery service, etc) were more than adequate, even with the high concentration of residents taking advantage of them all. At the end of my time at Laurel Village, I actually had to leave before my lease was up, but the staff was very accommodating of a sub-lease and the process was seamless. I had been a model tenant, though, which may have helped the process along. I loved my experience living the Laurel Village life, and would definitely recommend the apartments to anyone looking for convenient housing in downtown Minneapolis.

I like the location and everything about this place. Apartment is nice and decent inside. I wish they had an outdoor swimming pool because their rooftop is huge. I really like their party room. We had a couple parties there before, the bar is nice and it has a view of downtown of minneapolis. The only problem with this apartment is the security officers. They are strict to the core! I mean you have to ask a friend to buzz you IN, in order for you to get inside. If someone, other than your friend, let you in, the security officer will ask you to have yoru friend from the apartment to buzz you in or he/she would have to come downstairs to get you… pathetic but i guess it’s good in a way.
