I went for a pre-employment drug screen on Thursday, November 16, 2015. Signed in at 10:30 am and waited about 20 minutes for my name to be called. Finished up, got a chain-of-custody receipt and left. The staff was professional and courteous. All was well until today. My contract placement agency informed me that Labcorp did not have any record of me ever being there. Consequently my employment start date was moved back one week. So much for being professional and courteous.

Pre employment screen… Should be simple since I had the paperwork. I was greeted after I waited for 5 minutes by a rude woman at reception… Sign in and wait. Ok that is what I did… One by one people file back. If you have a child they can’t go back with you and cannot sit in the waiting room unattended. I got in faster as 2 people were turned away. Everything else was protocol. If it’s your job try to smile and don’t be rude… Just seems simple to me.

Most never experience the devastation of being 8+ months TTC(trying to conceive). For the majority who never experience that agony, here’s a summary: every two weeks fills you with the hope that you have created the best thing you can give to the world. Every other two weeks you realize that you are dead inside. Labcorp was supposed to give us answers, some clue as to why we’d gone through this monthly rollercoaster of demolished dreams. Instead, they gave us faulty instructions and refused to analyze samples we needed to determine whether more invasive tests were needed. I hate you, Labcorp of Edina. I hate you with not only my own passion, but with the passion of the children I have not yet conceived, thanks to you.

I went in here to get a pre-employment drug screening and they were very professional and courteous. The employees knew what they were doing and were quick to get me in and out. I guess I’m rating it a four stars because it was very simple and efficient, not because I’m actually a fan of peeing into a cup. However, their cups were very large and easy to hit. No spillage or leakage at this place! So, I guess if you need to get a drug screen and can go here, I certainly would make the trip. And hell, after you’ve peed in your cup, you can hit the Southdale Mall for some shopping!
