Kobe is awesome! They are always nice and accommodating. We have young children and they people there always are able to help us out so the kids get veggies they like. Awesome rolls too!!! Just had our 7th annual xmas eve dinner. Love this place!

Food is always fresh and tasty. Wide options on the menu. We went there for my sisters bday and had 15 people. We were at 2 hibachi tables but still kind of together. It was fun! I enjoy going and will continue to do so.

Miso soup — super bland Spicy tuna — pretty standard Lobster roll — delicious(I would totally get this again) Came for the hamachi kama — it’s no longer on their menu. They also have hibachi, but I’ve never been there for that. It’s not really all that great and happy hour is usually the only thing I hit it up for. The servers are decent, but they don’t really check on you. The décor is that of a sushi/hibachi restaurant, but feeling a bit more run down. Big bar right in the middle. But if you’re in the mood and in the area… it’s not a bad option.

Our family will only go to Kobe for hibachi. The hibachi is better tasting than the other places. Get the Kobe for two and ask for extra yum yum sauce if you have left overs. It’s even better the next day. We have never been disappointed. Great service, awesome, talented fun chefs, price is reasonable for the quality of food, Great place for well behaved kids and families. We always seem to sit with pleasant people and have a wonderful time. Kobe use to be our special occasion place but now we crave it for a last minute dinner. Love the sushi and watching the sushi chefs make it.

Not very good, especially compared to Benihana’s. I came here for my boyfriend’s birthday dinner with his family and we filled up a table at a grill. I have to eat gluten free, so I requested gluten free soy sauce. The chef told me he would cook mine first with the gluten free. My party told me it was fine if he cooked it all with gluten free soy sauce so I wouldn’t have to eat first while everyone else was waiting, but he insisted on cooking mine first despite me and my boyfriend’s mother asking him to cook it all at once, all gluten free. I don’t know if there was a policy or what but you would think he would have either followed our request or told us a reason why not instead of just repeating«No, I cook it first». My chicken(which I waited to eat with the rest of my party, making it cold) was so overcooked I could barely eat it. The fried rice had absolutely no flavor. The white sauce they gave us was basically ranch from a grocery store bottle, presented as special sauce. Also, the chef did not interact very much, and seemed annoyed when my boyfriend’s little brother started asking a few questions about how he does his tricks. Very disappointed in the food and in how expensive everything seemed to be for not much quality. Go to Benihana’s for a better meal.

Came here for hibachi late night on a weekday, only couple of tables were occupied. none on the hibachi grill. Since it was the last hour of the day, i wouldn’t want to be critical of their service, but overall it wasn’t good — 3⁄5. There wasn’t any host to get us seated, after a wait for around 5+ minutes someone from the sushi bar came and help us get seated. The hibachi chef didn’t look like he wanted to entertain, but was friendly, no fun and tricks. The hibachi was overall good, except for the Mushroom soup — bad, cold and oily. They have a good number of option to choose for hibachi. I got shrimp and scallop. Shrimp tasted good, but the scallops were absolutely divine, cooked to perfection and flavorful. They also had their happy hour going, reasonably priced sushi and lot of choices. Since none of my friends were fans of sushi, we got just a Tiger roll. Though im no sushi connoisseur, i liked the taste and found it about okay. the roll wasn’t packed tightly a couple of pieces fell apart. Overall i didn’t have the best experience, but i would give them the benefit of doubt because of the hour. I told my friend it was too late for hibachi.

Oh my. The places smelled like old fried grease and it was empty at 5:30. Not a good sign. Only got soup and left.

Summary: — The hibachi quality is on par if not better with most hibachi places — The sushi is on the more expensive side for what you get but there’s a solid happy hour — The hibachi chefs do tricks here that I haven’t seen before at other places — Overall, above average hibachi. Definitely worth checking out! — I was having sushi cravings today so I came in for happy hour and got a spider roll. The service was good and the fish tasted pretty fresh to me, so I was happy. I’ve also come here for the hibachi many times, including a few for my birthday; it’s my dad’s favorite spot. They have something called the Kobe special if I remember correctly, that gave you some chicken, filet mignon, scallops, and a lobster tail, all for 50 bucks for two people. The meats were a little bland but were moist. Besides, white hibachi shrimp sauce fixes everything! The fried rice here was a little worse than Benihana, though definitely healthier. The meal also includes salad and miso soup. They even include free dessert for birthday celebrations! Overall, this restaurant is probably above average Hibachi, and in my opinion, a better pick than Benihana’s or Osaka in the Plymouth/Minneapolis area.

Hibachi here is wonderful! It is full of flavor and fun chefs! The salad that is served with the Hibachi leaves one wanting for something other than iceberg, but the cooked meal pretty much makes up for it. Sushi. The happy hour menu makes it worthwhile. Special rolls that normally cost more are placed with lower prices, and general rolls have even better of a price! That with a full bar = a good place to get happy.

My husband and I love going to Kobe for their Hibachi. I would highly recommend the shrimp, scallops, and filet! We generally have very attentive servers and a good experience. They also have a really reasonably priced happy hour menu with sushi. I generally don’t go to Kobe specifically for sushi, as I have found their prices to be a bit high on some sushi items. But Hibachi pricing seems competitive.

The best Sushi Buffet I have ever been to bar none. The sushi is fresh, great selection and comes with a generous amount of app type starters. The price is great and the service is always good.

Lunch specials 7 days a week, especially the hibachi specials are a great value. Great food! If you are short on time sit at a regular table, if you have time for a leisurely lunch go for the hibachi seat.

If they served everything with brown rice the review would have been much higher. Come on Kobe… move into the new millennium.

I have been going for for about 5 years. Let me say the happy hour menu is very good and super cheap! The specialty rolls have always been nothing but sublime. Not much experience with the hibachi, but always seems to be in use. If you sit at the sushi bar when it’s less crowded the chefs will make you a killer specialty salad for free! All in all always a good experience and extremely consistent.

One of my favorite nearby places to get sushi. I am a huge fan of their $ 15 all you can eat sushi buffet. They bring you as much as you want and it also comes with an appetizer. I’ve been there many times and enjoy their food. The hibachi is also good, but I prefer Benihana’s hibachi. Our favorite sushi rolls include the George, the Pink Lady and the Tiger roll. YUM!

It’s been a while since I had bad restaurant experience last time. Grumpy lady just rushed us to order. When my 4 years old didn’t know what drink to order, she was very upset. Foods. Ordered gyoza, tofu, a sushi and udon noodle. I couldn’t feel flavor nor umami or anything from except gyoza sauce. Sushi rice was dry and didn’t feel any sign of vinegar. OK, TO be fair, I will come back once more to have teppanyaki /Hibachi.

Love this place! Love the dimmed lights and comfortable seating, and the staff is always very nice and accommodating. They know which one is «our» table at this point! THEOUTSTANDINGFOOD: –Deep fried shrimp gyoza are BYFAR the best gyoza I have ever had. Crispy outside but not at all oily, the filling is nicely seasoned and has actual shrimp inside. –Baked avocado is delicious — always perfectly baked, the stuffing not overly salty like a lot of places. I get mine without cheese. –Salmon teriyaki — now, if you only go to try one thing, this would be it. I’m not sure what they do to the salmon to make it so flaky and buttery and melt-in-your-mouth — best-tasting salmon ever. Comes out sizzling hot with some onions and other veggies, side of rice and extra teriyaki sauce included. –Tiger roll is yum and the tempura shrimp is mostly shrimp rather than tempura. Forgo the spicy sauce because that overpowers all the other flavors. –Sashimi is always fresh, cut nicely and THICK slices. Salmon is wonderful. –Tempura ice cream always has a nice crunchy outside — not soggy at all. There is ample parking, and we always go during quieter hours so we get amazing service every single time.

Location and parking was convenient. Host and waitress fast, friendly and attentive. Drinks: alcohol free piña colada not so good. The mix tasted like it was straight from the bottle and blended with chunks of ice that would not go up the straw. Thus it tasted«fake» and watery. The volcano drink was much better. Good mix of flavors and they did not go easy on the alcohol. Sushi: Kobe roll: you can’t go wrong with Kobe steak and sushi. It was a bit pricier than the other rolls cause we wanted to try something different. It had good crunch on the end pieces but the middle bunch was lacking texture, giving the bite a bit mushy. Black dragon roll: boy were they quite generous with the topped with eel portion of the sushi. The roll itself had a good kick to it from the jalepeno, which was very fresh and crunchy. Green tea roll: our favorite and would def get it again. The fish tasted very fresh and it was a good variety of pieces that melted in your mouth. Overall good experience. We intended to try the sake flight, but the waitress came back telling us the choices we wanted were not available, so we opted for different drinks.

Wow! Fast service. Tasty food and entertainment all in one! This has got to be the cheapest hibachi eatery I’ve been to. The prices in Hawaii are almost double what they charge here. I tried the hot house sake, grilled veggies, grilled shrimp, spicy tuna sushi, pork gyoza, steak and fried rice. Everything was prepared perfectly and well seasoned. The hot sake was very smooth. The cooks were very personable and entertaining. The service was quick and responsive. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for good food and GOODSUSHI. Being from Hawaii, I’m extremely picky about raw fish and this place was good. Masu is CRAP!
