Julia Bretey Salon

I have had nothing but wonderful experiences since I started going to the Julia Bretey Salon. The salon space is beautiful, there is free parking in the lot behind the salon, and the price is totally worth it.
I have been following Alex for several years and she is amazing. I often get asked by random strangers who cuts my hair (I should just have a stack of her cards to hand out). She is also very thorough — she once followed me to the desk to catch a few strays as I walked away.
Beth at the front desk is also fantastic. She is very friendly and knows everyone’s name. This place is just an amazing, welcoming place. Like another reviewer said, it is worth every penny!

Like Hether S, I have been following a stylist around Minneapolis since she left Spalon Montage. I see Clare whenever I’m in town, and she is worth every penny. I have short, fine hair, and Clare always does a great job with it.
Beth at the front desk is is always friendly in a very sincere way, and clearly establishes great relationships with customers so they continue to come back.
The salon is in a great location. The only thing I’m not totally crazy about is the space itself. It doesn’t have much of a personality, and the waiting area is small and a bit uncomfortable. If I remember correctly, there was hair all over the chairs which is kinda gross. Other than that, definitely my favorite hair salon in the Twin Cities.

I have been following the same hair stylist (Alex) for years. although I had not seen her in a few years (note to self: stop cutting/​coloring your own hair, it’s just not a good idea anymore)…
Anyhow. Alex used to be at the nearby Spalon Montage, then she went someplace else, and now she is here — at Julia Bretey Salon.
My experience at Julia Bretey Salon was fantastic from beginning to end. Calling to make the appointment was easy & the person who took my call was super friendly and helpful.
Parking was easy — there is a ramp nearby — free parking.
The salon has a nice feel to it, it is a nice space — typical salon atmosphere I would say.
My appointment went very well — and Alex is a genius. I trust her 100% with my hair (cut and color) because I know she will always make me look fantastic. She is always good at recommending hair products as well, but is never pushy about them.
When I was done with my appointment, the person who took my money was extremely nice. She asked me if it was my first visit to the salon… and wanted to be sure that I was happy with the salon and my experience… I was. :)
I will be back — for sure. I can’t imagine going anywhere else. so as long as Alex is at this place. I will continue to get my hair cut/​colored here. :)

I love the ambiance and the atmosphere here. It is a lovely environment, but does not feel too over the top pretenious. Julia does a great job with my color and cuts… she considers price as she recommends services or products to me and I never feel «taken». Hint… park in the back of the building!
