Unique and fascinating selection of items, from truly special antique asian and african furniture to doo-dads made of paper and wire. Prices are reasonable for lower and mid range items, Im not knowledgeable enough to say if they are in line for truly collectible items… I have bought some Japanese antiques here that were fairly priced and delighfuly. Lots of stuff to poke through, the owner is very knowledgeable and mellow. Jewelry in particular is of interest and many lovely sterling pieces. Welcomes browsers but you will find the items intersting enough that you will probably walk out with an inexpensive fun toy from africa, a nice piece of art from china, or perhaps even a glorious korean wood chest. Nice old dog wanders the place too…

If you’ve got the cash and you’re on the hunt for asian antiques and crafts, Indigo should be on your must hit list along with Three Pagodas and CW Smith. The store is a little randomly located, imo, but then again, I’m not a North Loop/Twinsville-to-be area expert, yet. But, we were happy we stumbled upon it. The owner was extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The selection represents a wide variety of countries. Some of my favorite pieces ended up being Korean chests. Come prepared to dig, though, as there is a ton of stuff… seriously. But I fell in love with many antiques… it was like there were many needles in the haystack.
