The electric menu is taunting and the food proves to be fan-tasty-ic. I’ve eaten from here in front of the Capella Tower and in front of Target on Farmer’s Market Thursdays. You’ll want to keep track of this place on Facebook and Twitter to know where to satisfy your mid-day hunger.

We worked with Wesley and Corey for our October wedding reception with House of Hunger. We wanted an alternative idea that our guests would remember and HoH delivered! Our guests could NOT stop raving about the deep fried mac and cheese bites! It was the talk of town for days. Wesley and Corey were wonderful themselves, they showed up(Corey with a broken hand even!) never had a line and even brought food in to the venue to serve! My husband and I were blown away by the amazing food AND customer service. We could not have been more thrilled with HoH, if you get the chance they are a no brainer!

Stopped in at Bauhaus tonight… House of Hunger showed up… I did something I’ve never done… indulged in food truck offerings… WOW, am I glad I did! I opted for the Chicken bacon ranch provolone sandwich for $ 8…was it delicious!!! Fantastic; plenty of chicken, a little bacon, some lettuce, tomatoes, a slice of provolone & a little drizzling of some ranch. Seriously, it was FANTASTIC! They also made it very quickly and the staff were all friendly! I’ve «liked» their facebook page… so hopefully they post where they’ll be. I would definitely recommend House of Hunger! My two friends also absolutely enjoyed their food as well! I’m not sure what he had; I believe she had the buffalo chicken philly & they split some onion chips. Getcha some!

Ordered the Mac and Cheese bites and I felt like I was at the state fair. Good stuff. The truck came to my work and we were one of the first to order, so the wait was not long at all.

Longer wait than most food trucks. The outdoor experience was neat, but you can find tastier and better priced food in the skyway or other food trucks. I spent about $ 10 for a steak sandwich and small fry. I threw half the sandwhich in the trash.

Just had the worst experience ever with them. It’s lunch, I love lunch. I love food trucks. I’ve been to just about all of them. I work downtown and eat downtown at food trucks 3 – 5 times a week. I hadn’t tried Twisted Sister yet but I was in the mood for a good meaty sandwich and wanted something new. First Problem — Their internet died and they couldn’t swipe my card. Oh hey, no worries, I’m sure it will be back in a second, just do it when you can. Want me to pay cash? No? Ok! This stuff happens, I get it, I’m a mellow person. I’ll wait. Second Problem — They didn’t put in my food order WHILE they were trying to get my credit card to go through. Instead about 15 other people place their orders. I don’t know this. Third Problem — After they swipe my credit card, they can’t read the order slip, they wait to ask me until they take and put in a couple more orders. Fourth Problem — At this point I got line line at 12:56, placed my order at 1:00, and it’s 1:22 and I have no food. I get my food. I’m estatic and hungry. I haven’t had a philly in a couple months, I love phillys and, after living in Philly, I know what a good philly is. THEFOODISBAD. I mean, bottom line, I can overlook a bad experience if the food makes up for it, but it didn’t. Twisted Philly — Meat of low quality, too little cheese, too much bread. Veggies weren’t done right either. Main taste in the sandwich is basic white bread, the bread isn’t even good. Onion Chips — Something’s off with their grease. Could just have been a bad day, but it was too much grease and had that kinda funky metallic after taste. I’ve never written a review before, but this experience was so bad and I wanted to tell someone, that I’m signing up to this silly page just to post it.

Biked into downtown today to do lunch via food trucks. I haven’t done much food truckin’ since last fall so I was sort of looking forward to the semi-long waits, people watching, and eating on the curb. My boyfriend picked the House of Hunger; we ordered the Twisted Philly and the Chicken Rancher. The Twisted Philly has pepper jack and polygamy sauce while the Chicken Rancher had bacon and provolone over chicken that had three different hot sauces on it, hence the XXX-sauce. Also ordered a side of zuke fries. No special drinks, just sodas or water. The Twisted Philly was really good. Regarding the polygamy sauce; don’t worry, it won’t make you want a bunch of sister-wives. It’s a spin on Siracha and mayo with some other tasty things thrown in. The veggies were just cooked and still firm and crunchy. It got a bit drippy at the end but grab a bunch of napkins and you’ll be fine. The Chicken Rancher was more of a disappointment. All I could taste was Frank’s Red Hot sauce which is extremely vinegary and acidic. I ended up eating only a third because I could tell it was going to wreck havoc on my stomach. Zucchini fries were delicious, definitely would get these again. If I were to come back, I would go for the Philly sandwiches or the hot dogs. I think anything with hot sauce is going be pretty one note, in addition to killing your tummy. PS: Canadian Pacific Plaza is a short walk if you don’t want to eat on the curb. The steps are a treat and the trees provide just enough shade.

I absolutely love the House of Hunger food truck. I dream about zucchini fries and polygamy sauce. The BBQ chicken with bacon and melted cheddar is a dream come true. The staff is quick and friendly. I wish with all my heart that they had a larger delivery area or opened a brick & mortar with seating.

Amazing customer service. They ran out of sauce the first day. Next day as we walked by and they remembered my coworkers name that got a sauceless pig and offered him a free sandwich. I decided to try too. Food its super tasty. Got a Philly. Very nice peppers and onions. The bun was toasted and slathered in butter. Will be back.

I had the pleasure of feasting on some catering from House of Hunger. They did a chicken/beef/pork taco and salsa bar. The salsa was fresh and flavorful. I had chicken on my tacos. It was tender and well-seasoned. I am not sure if the tortillas were black bean– or blue corn-based(they are a lovely shade of blue) but they added nicely to the flavor. The other catering menus on their website look tasty too. I would consider them again for catering. They even delivered(the location is definitely not on their regular route). I look forward to trying their regular fare soon!

My first food truck visit for the spring was a win. I got twisted Philly sandwich which was good. What makes it different from a regular Philly is that it has pepper jack cheese and a special sauce(there wasn’t a noticeable flavor). I enjoyed the sandwich which was stuffed with well flavored meat and lots of onions and peppers. It could have used more cheese and even more of that special sauce. The one downside was that the underside if the roll got soggy, fell apart and all the meet fell out(luckily in my container). This will most likely happen to you as well if you get one of their many Philly sandwiches. Therefore make sure you grab a fork so you can enjoy anything that falls out(into your container, not the floor). Unfortunately they sold out of the seasoned fries, which sounded so good. Therefore I got the onion chips which I was really happy with. It was delicious! They’re basically onion rings in the shape rose petals. My colleague told me that they were supposed to come with a horseradish sauce which I realized after leaving I didn’t get. :-(With that said, double check your container before walking away or else you too will be «un-sauced». The menu also featured deep fried hot dogs which I hope to try next time along with the seasoned fries. Oh yeah that’s right… I’ll be back!

Twisted phily: good, hearty, flavorful. We’re definitely gonna take it. The poly sauce will make you love it regardless of your favorite. Your world will expand with the love. Why limit your love to a single succulent sauce? Helps that the creamy goodness drips from the sides of your mouth while you swallow that thick, flavorful meat… um. I’ll be quiet now. Deep fried hot dogs scare me. Particularly here. But, hey, YKIOK.

Kids had the classic philly, bacon Philly, and a Swiss-Ted philly with seasoned fries and it was delicious!

My buddy and I took our bi-monthly lunch trip to try something new in Downtown Minneapolis. We walked by our first choice, the new Which-Wich, but it is still the new place in town and packed. So we headed over to Marquette to check out which food trucks were out there. Smack Shack is only there Wed-Fri, se we decided to try Twisted Sister on a friend’s recommendation. They had hot dogs, cheesesteaks, pork sliders, fries and zuccunni fries on the menu. I wish they had some chicken dishes, but their menu says it is on its way. I ordered the Twisted Philly. Now we turn to the website!(Twisted Philly Cheesesteak = Mchuzi seasoned beef, grilled onion, green peppers, red peppers, pepper jack cheese, and Polygamy Sauce) The only thing that sucked about this truck was the long wait time. We had to wait about 15 minutes just to get our meals. It would have been a solid 4 star, at least 3 ½, but the wait time is rough when you have an hour to eat out of the office. My friend and I took our boats of food,(He got the pulled pork sliders) They looked real good. We sat down outside at a nearby table, unfortunately, next to a smoker. Gross addition to the taste of fresh food. The Philly comes on a hot dog style bun, which was hard to attack, because it was starting to get soggy and not quite toasted enough. The steak was really swell, nice and tender and juicy with great pepper jack cheese, couldn’t really tell if the sauce was that great or not. Peppers were juicy and flavorful. They had hot sauce on the cart to add if you want, a nice touch. I ended up eating it with a fork. My bud let me try a fried zucchini, not bad, but not great. He said his meal was a solid 3 ½. Besides the wait, it was a nice $ 8 food truck offering. We saw a truck called Aussie’s Kabobs next to it today that had gryos and stuff. That is our next trip, if Which Wich is still packed. Nice guys that own the truck too, Twisted that is.

I was at work and my previous lunch plans at fallen through; so, I decided that a food truck trip was in store. Plus, it was an amazing April day outside!!! I decided on the Twisted Sister. It was right parked in front of the building I work in and I’ve only heard great things about this food truck. The menu is pretty straight forward. They have cheese steak sandwiches and a number of different«hot dog» type sandwiches. It’s still a hot dog, but MUCH better! After a quick review of the menu, I decided on the Pit Bull Dog with seasoned fries. The Pit Bull dog comes with pulled pork, grilled onions, pepper jack cheese and Polgamy sauce. The hot dog itself appeared to be an all beef dog. When you combine that with all the ingredients, it’s an amazing orchestra of flavor in your mouth. The pork adds another flavor to the hot dog. The grilled onions with the pepper jack add MORE flavor and the cheese gives a little kick. The polgamy sauce is what makes this dog amazing. I added the seasoned fries for $ 2 and it was a filling lunch for only $ 8. If you’re craving something with a little kick and isn’t your average hot dog that you can make at home, stop at the Twisted Sister and grab one!

This food truck showed up a few weeks ago outside my office building in Roseville. The food truck craze has finally made it to the Midwest and I’m glad to say that I’m fan. The food here is good. It comes out quickly and is hot and flavorful. The best thing on their menu is the hot dog. Deep fried Nathan’s all beef hot dogs smothered with toppings, Twisted Sister does it right. The toasted butter bun is large and chewy and really makes for a good meal. The zucchini fries are good too, and their signature sauce — polygamy sauce — is fantastic. If food/taste/service were the only aspects I was left with to rate — this place would get an easy 4 stars. What brings it down for me is the pricing. I can’t go around paying 12 + bucks for lunch, and if you want a sandwich/fries/drink/sweet treat, that’s what you’ll be paying. I mean how much can you mark up hot dog… 6 bucks is a lot! Paying 3 bucks for 5 strips of battered/breaded deep fried zucchini was also frustrating. Needless to say, I think most food trucks are overpriced… Twisted Sister isn’t the exception. Maybe it’s the hype, maybe it’s the convenience, or maybe it’s just the rising world food prices and peoples’ willingness to pay whatever is demanded. I like coming here, but I have to ration myself. But just a note to the owners — I’d order food twice as often if the prices were 25% lower, and I know I’m not the only to feel this way!

Philly Dog. Zucchini fries. This lunch made my day. Deep frying hot dogs is genious(we’re not talking corndogs here, y’all. There’s not breading, just fried hot dog goodness), and the polygamy sauce — sriracha mayo plus secret spices — is brilliant. I wish I had discovered this truck earlier. I don’t know how much menu-trying I’ll be able to fit in before the weather turns, but everything sounded so good! Delightful dudes, wonderful food, and(bonus!) the wait was quite short. Hit ‘em up before it gets cold!

I decided to take a walk around at lunch time. Enjoying the fresh air and the smells of the food trucks. I wasn’t sure what I wanted so I decided to try Twisted Sister(mainly cause it is a cool name). OMG … LOVE the Philly Dog. The provolone and peppers and onions mix were perfect with the all natural Nates dog. Yummo! I can’t wait to see what I will try next.
