The hizzy is pretty small, in comparison to Hizzies at other universities. But its pretty amazing. There is the Rabbi, the director, the JCRC fellow and the admin assistant.
Hizzy brings all the Jews together. It offers services, shabat dinners and hosts festivities for every holiday. There are also interesting weekly events, classes and lectures. Most of the stuff is reform, but the MN kollel now does a 10 week «orthodox» program there.
The year after I graduated, they got a grant and did some renovations to the building. There is free popcorn, pool, TV, library and cool vintage chairs. Noone really knows how many times I sat in those purple chairs.
Basically, kiddlie go to the hizzy. Its the best hang out on campus and meet your besheret. Shalom!!!
