Oh no! Another great store is about to bite the dust. Sad but true. The economy strikes down another local shop. Hurry while you can… currently they are offering 35% off the entire store. Probably will go to 50% off in the next week or so…

Love this store. I always find something to buy… sometimes its some Demeter Dirt or a funny card for a friend. Usually not shoes just cuz they are a bit out of my price range. BUTTHEBESTPART is the owner brings her pugs to work!!! Being a pug lover and having a little pug nugget of my own, I was so excited. Plus the owner told me, no BEGGED me, to come back shopping with my pug! Store that allow dogs get my business, hands down!

I wish that I were a lot richer than I actually am(which is not saying much, trust me) so that I could buy cute shoes all of the time. If money ever does come my way(preferably with little to no effort on my part) and I wanted to buy cute shoes, Heavenly Soles would be the first place that I’d go to. That’s not to say that I haven’t purchased anything from here — in true Jaymi fashion I have only bought shoes from the clearance rack. I have worn the hell out of all of the shoes, so it was definitely money well spent. I think that the gifty area is fun but is only really useful if you need to buy some last minute thing for a person and have no idea what to get for them. With that said, I do need some new shoes. I also need some more money.

Finally got in here this past week-end. Though I didn’t buy anything, I was impressed at the variety of selection. I wish they’d put more attention into shoes and less into novelty gifts. They wanna be Sister Fun, too? I think the shoe selection tends a bit toward the novelty as well, but I really appreciate this is one of two stores in town that stocks Fluevog and Miz Mooz. They didn’t have the Miz Mooz I was looking for and my kid was melting down with hunger and obsessing over novelty gift item I didn’t want to buy him, so I didn’t have time to ask if they were getting some more in soon.

This cute little shoe store has a lot to offer the shopoholic because it lives a double-life as a mecca of great last-minute gifts. First things first… Shoes: One half of the store is lined with all kinds of campy, casual shoes. Most of them look too busy for the average bear but you can probably find a pair that will become your new favs. The fun of shoe stores like this is the browsing and the gawking so bring a friend and have fun commenting on the outlandish ones. The sale shoes are on sale for a reason so plan on shelling out $ 40+ for a good pair that you will walk the life out of. Gifts: The other half of the store is comprised of shelves and walls full of odds and ends that would make an entertaining gift basket. Look for soy candles in never-before-smelled scents like tomato plant or fresh-cut grass, nouveau notepads, hilarious gift cards, food-themed car air fresheners, and cheeky Minnesota novelties(an oven mitt with a map of MN and all the beloved hot-dishes that were born here!). The gift shop is a life saver when you forgot your friend’s birthday and you can even get a cute pair of shoes to wear to the party.

As much as I love Minneapolis, there is a serious lack of places to buy cute shoes. Like a problem-lack of places. So if any of you are thinking entrepreneurship might be for you, please, think cute shoe boutique. Heavenly Soles can only do so much and it’s in Uptown, and there should be more places to buy shoes in this town! The selection here is a little bit hippy, a little bit punky, a little bit cutsy. I go in every few months to see what’s new, and most everything usually is. I’ll often only really like one or two pairs — but that’s a good thing for my budget. They carry Campers and John Fluevogs, which I appreciate, along with some vegan shoes for that crowd. This is a working girl’s(or guy’s — they do have some men’s shoes) boutique and the prices are moderate. But the shoes aren’t sleek in general — they’re casual and funky. Which works for me sometimes. The shoes that end up on sale are often downright outlandish, and I give them some props for carrying towering yellow patent leather boots alongside Borns. Check out the teeny tiny half-inch plastic babies by the register. Creepy to put in a friends water bottle.

This is a fun little shoe store that will have everything from comfy to flirty. It is also a place that you can drag along your non-shoe shopping friends(are there such?) since they have a good selection of quirky gifts and other non soled items. Prices are relatively reasonable.
