Garage Door Service

I wish we had done our homework before using this company. Their charges are astronomical: $ 900 for one hour to replace 2 tension springs! !!! The upsell starts the second the tech gets out of his truck and doesn’t stop into he leaves. We didn’t get the full coupon applied and had to fight with several incredibly rude customer service reps In Texas to get it. These guys told us they were a local company but they are not. ABSOLUTELY BEWARE. Worst service experience we’ve ever had. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

This is a front company from san digeo which I found through living social, avoid the scam which I’ve detailed below:
So I called a guy to come fix the garage door & he tells me all the things that are wrong & that it would be $ 650 to fix.
I pointed out that he failed to notice the missing cable which was likely the root cause of the difficult to open the door. He disagreed with my assessment but said it wouldn’t be any problem and he would fix it as well.
I told him I just wanted the cable fixed, so he called his boss & authorized the repair for $ 125 because the bottom rollers were very rusty and must be replaced for just the cable to resolve the issue. I agreed to the charge.
He opened the door and found the first cable from the bottom of the door around the first pulley back to the top of the door was too short. I asked what length the cable is on a normal door & he let me know 8 or 9ft. I suggested at this point we’d likely want a 16ft cable because the spring with the torsion wheels are at the top end of the door when it is open. He mentioned that he thought a 9 footer would work so I let him install it.
He had the cable installed & as he got off the ladder, I mention that since he has a cable with no excess wire around the torsion pulley the door can’t close because it would need to be twice as long. He sees my point and doesn’t bother with his attempt at closing the door.
He gives me the rollers in the door & suggests everything would work better if I replace the torsion spring (the one that only has one wire on it). I thank him for his time and let him go on his way.
I got all this helpful service for a $ 39 dollar deal on living social.
